in america 1 in every 5 miles has to be straight for use as runways in time of war .... that and you guys only turn left when racing so why put confusing corners everywhere , wait till you get a roundabout and watch their jaw drop XD
@@theeota Having driven in the US, I'd imagine a very large amount of the roads are straight enough anyway. Particularly from the mid-west to the west.
@@theeota The myth kicked up from the creation of the original US interstate system. Some requirements at that time did actually call for areas to be straight enough to land aircraft on, and the original overpass specifications had to do with tanks on trucks moving through the area. Several of the bridges along I-10 and the southern interstates also had requirements that allowed small warships to pass under them (the rainbow bridge in Bridge City TX, the Neches crossing(and the rail crossing there) in Beaumont TX, and the I10 Bridge in Lake Charles LA are all relics of that time period). The interstate system was partially envisaged as an internal defense network. There are still plans in place to use parts of several interstates as runways in emergencies, I've actually be involved in their use as LZs for heavy lift helos during natural disasters, and had the airport become inaccessible in those instances, the guard had plans to land fixed wing(or so they claimed). The idea that there is anything codified now, or anything near that detailed as "ever x number of miles has to be straight" is absolutely a myth though. It never existed in the beginning, and it does not now. Some of the modern interstate systems in mountain regions couldn't be used at all for things like that...
Drewski went from complaining about ground school to outsmarting DCS players in about a year. Quarantine, if done wrong, can lead to enlightenment after all!
I used the same strategy in the 1980s when I played on Sublogic "FS1 Flight Simulator" before Microsoft bought it. The background was just a grid pattern. On the opposite side of the grid was an enemy base. You could declare war on the enemy and they would launch planes to seek out and attack you. I would just taxi across the grid until I was at their base then I would declare war and attack them while still on the ground. I was better at taxiing than I was at landing.

I hope Ascar saw this video and everyone being amazed from his skill
It was a delightful suprise
I love that you took the time to highlight someone else's achievements. That map view is a great way to find and show all the other whacky shit that players get up to during the course of a round. It'd be great to see more stuff like that. Ascar is legendary for that run.
J-11: "Goin to use roads as runways..."
JAS39 Gripen: "I see that you're a man of culture as well"
in america 1 in every 5 miles has to be straight for use as runways in time of war .... that and you guys only turn left when racing so why put confusing corners everywhere , wait till you get a roundabout and watch their jaw drop XD
@@watchoutbinzillazabout5960 This is actually just an urban legend. Its never been true.
@kevin kukk go ahead and source it. The federal government dot says it's not and never was.
Quarantine, if done wrong, can lead to enlightenment after all!
if done wrong lmaoooo
I used the same strategy in the 1980s when I played on Sublogic "FS1 Flight Simulator" before Microsoft bought it. The background was just a grid pattern. On the opposite side of the grid was an enemy base. You could declare war on the enemy and they would launch planes to seek out and attack you. I would just taxi across the grid until I was at their base then I would declare war and attack them while still on the ground. I was better at taxiing than I was at landing.
The only reason I want a PC is for games like this.
For this game you need a super computer stolen from NASA to run it smooth and not load hours
It’s def worth it but uh..... money
i think everything drewski has every played on his channel is the reason i want a pc
@@boerenhugo Actually quite impressively DCS Runs great on a gtx1060 for me !!!! i would recommend this as a minimum. As far as load times all you need is a SSD and it loads in good time :) I Recently overclocked my gpu and got even more performance out of it ! Flying in DCS is amazing and smooth with good graphics and over 80 frames when im not recording :) I would recommend also getting a Hotas system and a Track ir alternative is less expensive such as Track hat clip with opentrack sofware. With that your good to go :)
Right me to

@@javlin36859bb You can't be serious. But I'll bite...can you describe a man-made device capable of emitting this 60 terahertz (60,000 ghz) you mention?
How much would it cost? What would the benefits be?
Can you describe a device capable of detecting this frequency, because there simply isn't one in my 5G phone.
Can you please tell me how far that 60 terahertz signal you mention would be capable of propagating through our atmosphere, in meters?
(BTW, 60 terahertz is well below sub-millimetre wavelength)

Complete B.S. At this point, you're either trolling or very gullible.
Have you tried it? I have, and again just yesterday. There are videos showing that this claim of yours is not accurate. Should I make yet another video, or do you know how to search?
@@javlin36859bb aluminum is a very conductive material with very little resistance to anything lol. Go watch the thunderf00t video on 5G for specific numbers but you can chill against one of those towers and barely have any tangible warming. Pressing your head against the emitter is comparable to walking into sunlight. You see technical words and your Neanderthal mind just freaks out doesn’t it? Here, let me try and trigger you with a couple good ones “GMO, fluoride, radiation, mutation” feeling spooked Luddite? Probably. You honestly are probably terrified of vaccines too right? Xenophobia must be debilitating. There hasn’t been a singular millisecond of your existence where your entire body wasn’t being penetrated by radio waves of numerous wavelengths. Every time you walk into light, from any source, you’re exposed to radiation, in fact, a good portion of your body is even emitting radiation this very second. The fact that you think 5G is any different from 4G or 3G in regards to how it interacts with your body clearly demonstrates that you lack any substantial understanding of what it is you’re actually discussing. You’ve gotten your entire understanding of radioactivity from Facebook conspiracies and it shows. I hate to be that guy, but go read a book, an actual physics book that’s been accredited. Maybe you’ll appear less laughable to the rest of society if you do.

Thats more or less already understood doctrine with helicopters, and a few guys have absolutely broken war games with it in the past.

Rattlesnake protocol
Well this requires you to have somewhere to land in FRIENDLY territory that is being attacked. Because if you landed on enemy teritory someone is going to report you doing this or you'll have ground forces coming to check you out.
I love how you explained the ASCAR story.
I've never even played the game, but it's clear he's a legend
Ascar, where ever you are, you looked badass, you dealt a critical blow, outran an F-18 while taking 4 SAMs and some CWIS fire. I now want to play DCSW no matter how hard it is .
outrunning a F-18 is nothing to brag on about, as it is one of the slowest fighter jets out there, especially the the so called SuperHornet, which isn't super in any kind of messure. Still can't believe the US traded their quite superperb F-14s for that piece o' crap. Taking on multiple SAMs and CWIS, thats quite a feat on the other hand.
I agree that the F-14 should still be in service. Also thank you for the lesson on the F-18 PooperHornet.

As a prior avionics guy, you can turn radar on while on the ground AND lock onto other aircraft. I just wouldn't recommend firing a missile.
