Notice the lyrics Peter's singing, where that high note happens?
"But shrill and harsh, across the marsh
    Its whistling voices were released."

I want Cheese Muffins now! So love your reacts to these great voices. Your ear is great for these! Love the fun you have with it as a professional singer and just as a fan of amazing music. Let's be real, we all love the massive bass Tim can deliver and Peter is amazing, and they have done others with Home Free. Also look up Peter's stuff with Lindsey Stirling, they are fun together as well. So much good music. Thanks for delving into this range, there is so much here you will love, not all of it is good for channel review, but all good. Thanks for being here!

Peter Hollens is amazing! He has some fun Disney medleys and you can't go wrong with his collaborations. He has one with a gentleman named Chase Holfelder that is a back and forth battle with the music of Imagine Dragons. Chase Holfelder is someone you should check out as well. Especially his Major to Minor series. "Kiss the Girl" from The Little Mermaid done in a minor key is incredibly creepy!

These two did a great job of capturing the essence of the song - which is actually in The Hobbit book. I am an extreme Tolkien nerd (I speak fluent Quenya), and to see someone else understand the context of the song and do it justice is great.
For context for those of you who aren't Tolkien addicts, this is the song that the Dwarves sing in Bilbo's house after they've gathered for their expedition. It's sad song, about loss of their original home, which was taken by Smaug. You can feel the sense of loss and longing for home in the way these two sing it, and the resolve to reclaim it towards the end in a grim but determined way. It's the musical version of "there's a good chance we will die fighting for our home, but we are willing to die to get it back from this ancient evil."
The song is very significant, because it's the first time that the party comes together and does something as a unit. It's their first real bonding with each other.

14:19 I'm months late but look at Tim's Larynx when he hits the Growl note, it didn't go downwards, it goes upwards, I was trying out that same Growl Note and I put my fingers on my throat where my Larynx lie and then did the growl note and low and behold it went upwards. I was just wondering "If the growl note is lower your lowest chest voice note then why does it go upwards when you sing a growl note".
