Great video Bill! I've used Doritos to start a camp fire out in the forest when the firewood is too green or the kindling is too wet. Have a blessed day! 🤗🤘
Tip: Wrap dry cedar branches around a bundle of twigs, the more dry cedar needles the better. Place the cedar twig bundle in the middle of where you want the fire and two large logs on each side of the cedar twig bundle. Next place dry broken branches on top of the cedar bundle which is between the two large logs. This will work for burning large logs that are wet/green because it dries out the the bark and then burns the logs. As the large logs are burning, place two more large logs on the outside of each large log that's burning. This will dry out wet logs in order to keep the fire burning. Always be drying out more logs, even let the bark burn but don't burn the wood until needed.
@@TommyLawson-yc3ru I was told about it at a family reunion years ago and tried it myself and found out that it does work. My cousin that told me was a big time camper. Someone probably figured it out by accident when they threw some chips in the fire that had spilt on the ground would be my guess 😂😂 I can’t take credit for the discovery but it sure has come in handy for me more times than once!
You have a bunch of dry leaves laying around. Crumble them up in your hands (you don't always have chips laying around). Take your small crumbled leaves and set them down. With your sticks build a tepee. Leave a small door open. Light the match and let it get a good burn going. light the crumbled leaves and let them light the small sticks. As the fire grows so does the size of your sticks (fuel).
