Thank you for this series. Your clear instruction is exactly what I need! I'd be interested in seeing you quilt a full-sized quilt on your domestic sewing machine.

Glad you are enjoying it! I am hoping to be making a twin sized quilt in the next 6 months so will be filming my progress.

Off to assemble everything I need. Nothing fills my heart with more dread than those three words 'Quilt as desired' aargghhhh!

I was the same but now I have my little library of designs to choose from. Hope you enjoy the videos!

@@TheColourBlindQuilter I have started doing the designs but the quilting god's are against me. My main machine is in being repaired, my first attempt, somehow the top tension had moved and I hadn't noticed. My second attempt today I was just about to start a line of quilting and the power went off, fortunately it didn't stay off for long however my walking foot then broke. New one ordered and should be here tomorrow. I will get these designs done one way or another 😁

I just "stumbled" upon this series. I am so excited and I have only viewed 3 so far. With all these ideas I can give my quilts a fresh look. I am one of those who has lots of tops sitting around in bags going nowhere. Now I can feel confident in the quilting process because I can have a plan. Thanks so much! :)

So looking forward to doing this series. And finding your video on how to cure the anxiety and blockage when it's time to quilt a finished quilt top. Thanks go to Karen Brown for her interview with you and recommendation of this series

Great explanation! I have spent the day in my sewing room and now get to sit with my hand quilting and watch your art. Thank you for posting this video.

Thank you Tom. I hadn't sewed for over 20 years and like many pulled out my machine to help with PPE during lockdown. A Year ago my daughter asked me to make her a quilt to take away to Uni when she goes next year. I had never quilted before so have found ramping up a new skill quite challenging. I researched and found information on assembling the top fairly easy but I've been completely overwhelmed with the quilting part of the operation. I made some samples over the last six months and thanks to your nudge on procrastination last week finally assembled it into a lap quilt. I'm ready to assemble the main project now and am really looking forward to your series. Luckily my daughter liked the wavey lines and that is your first lesson. I'm so happy. One question though - my machine is from the '90s so it won't be making the wavey lines for me. When I did my sample I had to mark up squares then mark in the wavey lines and go very slowly around the bends. If you have any tips on how luddites like myself can mimic the output of your machine I would be very grateful. Again thank you for your clear and precise teaching.

I too just stumbled on your video and exited to see all your series. I also find quilt tops going nowhere and very hard and expensive to find someone to quilt them for me. Could you put out a link for all I need and need to do before I start your series number 1. you mentioned a link but I don't find it. Thank You very much, can't wait to get stared

Loving these videos, thanks for doing them! Will you be providing any advice about handling a full size quilt? That's when I really struggle! With varying stitch length, aching shoulders, lots of swearing etc. Any help would be appreciated.....

Yes, I am planning this video as a bonus to the series. Hoping to get it out in the next month or two. I hae the same struggles so hopefully I can provide some insights on how I tackle it.

Love this series idea! Would love you to address sampler quilt design thoughts and on point designs in the book if not planned in your series. Newly subscribed! Thanks for this series so much.

Great idea! I've noted this. I am planning some bonus videos and one of them involves the quilt for Behind the Blocks series 1 which is a sampler quilt. Thanks
