    Thanks! I had a golf ball sized boil under my armpit for a week. I was in excruciating pain! I tried squeezing in hopes that it would pop...NOTHING. Took your advice, soaked a rag in warm water and epsam salt for 15 mins. The next morning, the swelling had subsided drastically! At around lunch time I took a peek and it not only had come to a head, but it was draining! I squeezed and more came gushing out. This will be my new remedy for here forward.

      Iodine is used for wound healing but there are advantages and disadvantages that you need to know off before using it. Also it is important to consult with your heath care professional before you use it. Thanks for the question

      @Shelly Belle ok, you would possibly need it checked by a professional. I can only suggest visiting your local pharmacy for an antiseptic or antibiotic cream. Hope this helps 🙏

    • @shellybelle6781

      What’s the name of the cream?

    • @TimewithLydiaThePharmacist
      @TimewithLydiaThePharmacist  Год назад

      Names of medications vary based on where you live. In the uk 🇬🇧 you can get a plain antiseptic cream over the counter from the pharmacy. It is called antiseptic cream or a brand called savlon . An antibiotic cream will have to be prescribed by a doctor in the UK. Don't know about where you live.

    I'm getting boils in the same area for over a year now, it's in my private part, in inner labia minora or inner lips. I get them after 1 month or 2 or more, mostly I get them when I'm having my period. It's very painful that i can't walk probably and it hurts 24 hours, after 2 to 3 days it pops itself and drains, I even got it cut surgically but it still coming back after months. I don't have diabetes nor I'm overweight So what can I do now, please inform me!

    • @TimewithLydiaThePharmacist

      First of all you need to find out what is triggering it then get a thorough check from a doctor. I posted a video on how to prevent vaginal boils so check it out for more information.
