Saw the Hotel California anniversary tour a few years ago. They CRUSHED it! They are 70 years old and easily one of the best concerts I've ever been to
RIP Randy Meister Bassist for the Eagles 1946-2023😢, may you find peace 🕊️ in Heaven that you could not find here on earth. Randy Meister was one of my influences on becoming a bassist.
@@montbob100 He was one of the best Eagles Band Members, unfortunately he struggled with mental health issues. Bio polar is what Randy had and I don't know how severe it was.
You Americans have produced some great bands but for me The Eagles were the best. Amazing musicians and beautiful harmonies. Just brilliant. Thank you for your great reaction. Best wishes from the UK. Take care.
That time is over though. The kind of music that was made in the '60s '70s and '80s and even the '90s will never be equaled again from American musicians.
How can you play an entire Eagles song with no pauses, no blurring of the video and not get strikes and RUclips blocking? Great song. Great vocals, great harmonies.
This is only the second of your reactions I've caught and I love the way you groove along to the music. As an old man the music from the Eagles and Bread filled my twenties, which was mostly a good decade for me.
Man, that song takes me back. Just back to the states, small town basketball game with my parents, looking at everything and feeling completely lost, a stranger in a strange land.
If you want a good idea of how much vocal talent was in this band, you should check out the live version of "Take it to the Limit", from 1977, with bassist Randy Meisner singing. When someone has a voice like that, and they're not even the main singer in the band, you know there's some depth of talent in the band.
Yes! You’re talking about the Capital Center show. That whole concert was a killer, but Randy Meisner’s ‘Take it to the Limit’ was one for the ages. That song always made him nervous to sing live, and you could see in his face how happy he was at the end after he hit those notes. I think every single member of the Eagles had at least one song on which they sang lead, except maybe Don Felder…and even he sang his own songs during his solo career! Any band that ca sing ‘Seven Bridges Road’ live has more vocal talent than they know what to do with!!
As precise as the Eagles are live, I believe this is the studio track over a live video performance. Promotional video, most likely. The Eagles were definitely the ones that perfected the Country-Rock fusion genre.
You are correct. Definitely a studio track. The telltale sign is Henley's little "Ahh-ahh" at the 2:00 mark. Henley in the video clearly isn't singing that. Plus, perfect stereo separation and no telltale audience sounds during the quiet parts.
@caroleseney7166 sorry to disagree, but I've seen the Eagles live 15 times. Each and every time, it is Henley doing the "ahh-ahh". Also, I have the dvd-audio version of "Hotel California", which is in 5.1 dolby surround. Glenn's lead vocal on "New Kid in Town" is absolutely centered. Henley's harmony vocal is just a little off center in speaker placement. The "Ahh-ahh" is off center.
Lol guys, obviously this is the studio track, someone put it over the live version. Here's the link for the original live version (without studio track over it): ruclips.net/video/Dz5BAl0CXCo/видео.html Edit: Another important point is that in the live version, Frey doesn't do the "aaah" in this part of the video.
Your comments about the music are solid. You know what you are talking about! Thanks for helping me enjoy these old songs again while looking like an angel.
This was my Dads Favorite Song! I played it for him at his request the Day before he died while he was laying on his Death Bed.....such a special song to me !
Glenn Frey did not want that people thought they were only a country californian band that is the reason why the took Joe Walsh into the band and he gave a touch of rock that Glenn was searching for the band
I was lucky enough to be in a pub in Camden Town in 1991. Glen Frey got up and did a two hour session with about fifty people in attendance. This track always takes me back to that evening.❤
Really enjoyed your reaction to this song, I'm a huge Eagles fan since 1972 along with their close friend Linda Ronstad. So loved your reaction to one of my favorites, yes their blended harmonies and complimentary playing were just grand. Tequila Sunrise I humbly suggest dear. Thanks for taking me back if only for a few moments. Adios Moonflower.
Eagles were killing it when Hotel California album was released and this and Life in The Fastlane were played all over the place .. Check out the song ''Victim Of Love' ,it is like heavy metal for an Eagles song
Great choice! Although it looks live it’s actually a promotional video with the studio audio they’re lip syncing to. They do harmonize just as good live.
I'm new here and I just subscribed. Fantastic reaction. Love your emotion and appreciation of great music...and yes, the Eagles always bring the unreal harmonies not to mention, the instrumental excellence. The best. Keep it up, you're amazing.
Has anyone noticed that the audio in the video is from the studio version and is layered over the live version? It's a shame, because this live version is just as good as the original. Maybe even better than that. Great choice though, Rebeka. If there's one thing the Eagles have, it's a catalog of songs for a lifetime.
actually this was live, but the person who posted the video put the studio track over the live version, here is the link to the original live version: ruclips.net/video/Dz5BAl0CXCo/видео.html
OK, I subscribed as of today. I am not sure where you make requests without being a "Patron". I will request she react to THE OUTLAWS, "Green Grass and High Tides." Hopefully other subscribers here will get behind this so she sees it is a popular song to react to. It has been done on many other reaction channels. Not everyone is Rebeka however as her reactions reveal a genuine rocker.
Hi Rebeka, great reaction and yes they really do harmonise that well live! A great slow number with powerful lyrics is The Last Resort, also from Hotel California album. Keep on 'Country Rockin' beautiful!
The guitar player Don Felder is what turned the Eagles into an incredible band. If you could play this song without his guitar playing you would hear the difference. Without him they would have just been another good country rock band.
This is the studio version but they are excellent live. Their concert in Aus (Melbourne?) before Glen Frey passed was amazing. It was on RUclips but was taken down. Great reaction 🤣
In the beginning a blues grass band. Fave would be 'The Journey of the Sorcerer (Used for Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy TV Show and Film). Great music. Glad you found it.
good reaction... I would add my one thought.. their arrangements are exceptional.. everyone is utilised to the max but not over the top.. class act obviously
This takes me back to my teen years when life was so simple and carefree and listening to this kind of music with friends or even by yourself was so entertaining and joyful, it's hard to explain sometimes the way music plays such a big part in our lives ( memories, emotions, feelings) but i think a lot of your viewers know exactly what i mean. Keep reacting like you always do Rebeka you are one of the best !
For the record, the new kid in town is a metaphor for the hot new artist who always overtakes the previous hot new artist, and the GF in this song is a metaphor for the fans and how one minute you're their consensus #1, until the "new kid" is the new #1.
New subscribers from the high desert of southeastern Arizona, USA. We are hooked on your reactions. You pick great performances to react to and you seem to have so much fun doing them. The Eagles are one of our all time favorite groups and they never made a bad recording. Since you like country, we'd like to introduce you to another great band along the line of the Eagles. The name of the group is THE BAND !!! We are including the link to their live performance with the Staple Singers of The Weight. We hope you will give this a try.
Great take on Eagles. Didnt see these Eagles songs suggested, so I'll add 'must hear' hit songs as 'Lyin Eyes', 'Take It To The Limit', and 'Tequila Sunrise',(you will be much happier with original band from 70s, not the 'Hell Freezes Over remake). Late '60s and '70s - best music. Chicago, Boston, Eagles, Carpenters, BTO, Guess Who, Hall and Oates, America, Ambrosia, Bread, Beach Boys, Styx, Foreigner, Seals and Crofts, Fleetwood Mac.....and I'm sure I left out more.
You fall for the clickbait tho, that video is the live version but the audio is the studio one, the person that did the video fooled us all, but you can find it live on yt. I think the correct one says “(live)” in the ent of the title, great reaction either way❤️
🎸🎸🎸🎸1/2 I have liked this from the first time I heard it. Not sure why they would allow a video like this. Obviously studio vocals. And they do such a good job of performing live.
Rebeka, I've seen them in concert, and every note, every harmony is PERFECT in concert. They are absolute professionals.
Saw the Hotel California anniversary tour a few years ago. They CRUSHED it! They are 70 years old and easily one of the best concerts I've ever been to
This is really a perfect song. I loved the Eagles since the 70’s. I have seen them in concert 11 times. They never disappoint!
The harmony, The harmony. Such talent.
This is not a simple song, this is songwriting at its best!
Vocal and harmony perfection. But then it's the Eagles.
The fact that they make it seem simple shows the genius of it.
This is one of those song's that can take you back to a certain point in your life you wish you could go back to. Great reaction Rebeka!!

this song was hugely popular on radio when it came out
Eagles were a magical part of the soundtrack to my life as I was turning teenager and beyond. One great song after another.
Man, that song takes me back. Just back to the states, small town basketball game with my parents, looking at everything and feeling completely lost, a stranger in a strange land.
Fantastic song,,,,Fantastic group,,,love The Eagles. 💥💥💥👍
Great song Rebeka. That band had a lot of them. You're looking great.
Awesome song choice!! I love watching you during the song!! Eagles are one of the best bands ever!!!
