*Eagles* Hotel California !!! One of my all time favorites and next up by the Eagles another of my all time favorites.... Take It To The Limit... The girls all loved it when Randy (bass) hit those high notes at the end.
They sure were something to watch live. Killer harmonies (on vocals AND guitars). Don Henley sang this one and another good one by the Eagles that he sang is Desperado. I think you'd enjoy it.
Don Henley is one of the great American song writers as well as having a supper rock voice. He has Many Solo works besides his work with the Eagles. The End of the Innocence (1989) is my favorite.
Those twin-lead guitars.... .descending arpeggios are too gorgeous. Joe Walsh looks so happy to be a part of that collaboration, fun to play and the result is so satisfying! Joe and Don..two of the finest.
This is the music I grew up on. The Eagles were a great 70's band with so many hit songs. They were known for their great harmonies. "Take It Easy", "Lyin' Eyes", "Witchy Woman", "Desperado", "Already Gone", "Best of My Love", "One Of These Nights", "Take It To The Limit", "New Kid In Town" etc. Before they went solo they were the back up band for Linda Ronstadt.
It takes a special kind of musician to be a lead singer/drummer like Don Henley. The guitarists are Don Felder with the dual-neck guitar, Joe Walsh with the red bandana, Glenn Frey on the acoustic guitar, and Randy Meisner on bass. Each one can be lead singers on any given day of the week which makes the Eagles a special kind of band, and one of the greatest.
Great reaction Emma! Love how you were really feeling the music. It has that effect on pretty much everyone. I've heard it 1000s of time still love it. Great Harmony leads in this one!
Harmonies in the Eagles were always very impressive - 5-part harmonies, no less. With the drummer also being the lead singer in a number like this, the 3 guitar players and the bass player all joined in, making most Eagles songs unforgettable.
I was a teenager in the 70's and grew up listening to them. They were one of the greatest. I love your channel, and the way move. Beautiful. If I'm not mistaken, Glen also sings their song Life in the fast lane.
Hi Emma, I see that your emotions are better now. I am happy when I look at you and see your lightness and smile. I love your hands for their naturalness and the truth emanating from them. Keep it up. I bow low, greet you and wish you only the best
Welcome once again to the fabulous 70s! Love watching your expressions hearing this. The vocals were so tight with their whole repertoire! Don Felder and Joe Walsh on electric guitars in this collaborative solo/duet was something at the time was unheard of. 😊
Red-bandana'd guitarist is Joe Walsh, & his song "Life's been Good" is his uniquely complex guitar+ playing with his cleverly humorous perspectives' hit, Emma! 😜👍
Eagles are amazing! Legends! Before they were a band, many of them played as studio musicians and, most famously, toured with Linda Ronstadt in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Don Henley - Drums and Lead Vocalist (for this track and a majority of the others) Glenn Frey - (1948-2016) 12 string Acoustic Guitar and Backing Vocals (also a lead vocalist on other tracks by the band) Don and Glenn were the musical motor of the band. They also both had very successful solo careers. Glenn even dabbled in acting in shows like Miami Vice and movies like Jerry Maguire. Some great songs from their solo careers are: Don: The Boys Of Summer, Dirty Laundry, In A New York Minute, The End of the Innocence, All She Wants To Do Is Dance Glenn: The Heat Is On (theme to Beverly Hills Cop), Smuggler's Blues & You Belong To the City (both from Miami Vice) Co-Lead guitarists: Joe Walsh - Single-necked guitar with the bandana on his head Don Felder - Double necked guitar (12 string & 6 string combo) Don Felder came up with the music for the song and wanted to sing it. However, he didn't have the voice. While all of the guys have amazing voices that blend well for the harmonies, Don and Joe don't really have lead vocal chops. They are exceptional guitarists! Randy Meisner - Bass guitar Randy has a very high tenor voice, which he uses to great effect on the hit "Take It To The Limit." However, he never felt comfortable being the main singer.
The Eagles are Legends! Great song. Listen to "I can't tell you why" or "Desparado" of Take it Easy" or "Witchy Women". Just to start with Emma! Thanks for sharing my friend!❤️❤️💛💛🦅
Eagles are one of my top three favorite bands. When my sister and I were very young, around 3 and 5, (around 1980) my dad had an 8 track of their greatest hits album. Mostly we listened to vinyl, the 8 track was sort of a special treat. We loved that tape. Also, I nearly spat my coffee out when you mentioned your goldfish memory.
Here's a few songs of them for you to check out :) Take It Easy Desperado Take It To The Limit Peaceful Easy Feeling Tequila Sunrise New Kid In Town Life In The Fast Lane The Best Of My Love One Of These Nights Lyin' Eyes Witchy Woman Love Will Keep Us Alive Seven Bridges Road Heartache Tonight And to top it off, since we are coming up on Christmas, they did make a really beautiful christmas song called "Please Come Home For Christmas" Enjoy!
Back before they started miming. This is a great track from a great album. Here in the UK the song was everywhere. This reminds me of long hot summers listening to Capital Radio, who played the song at leat a dozen times every day.
Don Henley is the drummer. He went on to have a semi-successful solo career. My favourite songs from him are "Boys of Summer", "For My Wedding", "Everything is Different Now"
Don Henley at the drums. For other songs sung by Don, try "Wasted time", "The last Resort", "Desperado", "Victim of love", "Witchy Woman" ..... or one of my favourites, where you get to listen to more members sing as well, "Doolin Darton".
the bassist sings on Take it to the Limit, the drummer sings on his own in the songs The Heart of the Matter and Boys of Summer both really excellent also Age of the Innocence
Don Felder wrote the song"s music. He's the tall guy playing the main theme on the double-neck guitar. He recorded the music at home on a tape recorder and took it almost ready for the others; only the ending double guitar solo was worked out with Joe Walsh and their manager. But the lyrics were written by the singer, Henley and Frey. It became a timeless work.
They all sang incredibly good! I saw them live 12 years ago, it was amazing. Desperado is a super beautiful song by them. I could name so many but i'm just gonna go with that one lol
For another Eagles song, with different tone, different lead vocal, try "I Can't Tell You Why" with Timothy Schmitt singing... excellent voice, excellent song. Do official video for best rendering.
7 members through their original superstar phase. Don Henley_drums&vocals, Glen Frey(RIP)_guitar, vocals, keys, Randy Meisner, then Timothy B Schmitt _bass, Bernie Leadon, then Don Felder & Joe Walsh_Lead guitar&vocals
Desperado is a good one from Henley's time with the Eagles. End of the Innocence is another good one from his solo career which he co-wrote and performed with Bruce Hornsby
the was the number one selling group in the USA for the entire 20th century and they started out with the two founders in Linda Ronstadt's backup band, their best of album went at least 18 times platinum
In my comment I forgot to say that I'm really glad you were able to redo your channel. I love your reactions, both music and movies. You are right they all have great voices. But if you want to hear one of their most amazing songs check out Take it to the Limit with bass player, Randy Meisner, on lead vocal.
When I was a kid, mom and dad never allowed us to hear any music other than country, Elvis, and the Lawrence Welk Show. I visited my 6 year old neighbor in 1977 one day not long after Christmas to find his sister, Lisa, kneeling on the living floor inside their front door, planted in front of the HI FI stereo. The sounds I heard coming from the speakers was incredible. I remember saying to Lisa, "Is that ear magic?" This started my foray into rock. This song is metaphorically about someone going from adolescence to adulthood and not being able to go back to being a kid again, once you accept all these responsibilities. Don Henley is the lead singer for about 45-50% of the Eagles songs. EVERY MEMEBER is a lead singer, just like the Beatles.
My favorite all-time group, tied with Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, and Stevie Ray Vaughn and Double Trouble!!! Every member of the Eagles are in the Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame, not just for the Eagles but also their solo work as well as other groups...hello Joe Walsh ;-) Eagles greatest hits, 40+ years on, still today, one of the greatest selling Rock albums of all time!!!
5 lead singers, so the harmonies are very rich (check out "Seven Bridges Road" live audio, especially a 5-track encoded one - e.g. DD5.1. 5 voices blending in your room.). This song is about the trap of California superficial culture of fame and fortune - "you can check out anytime you want, but you can never leave". Don Henley songs: "One Of These Nights" (mid-tempo), "Life In The Fast Lane" (rocker), "Best Of My Love"(ballad). Many more such as: "Last Resort", "Desperado", "Wasted Time". Glenn Frey songs: "Take It Easy", "Peaceful Easy Feeling", "Lyin' Eyes", "New Kid In Town", "Tequila Sunrise". Randy Meisner: "Take It To The Limit", "Try And Love Again". Timothy B. Schmit: "I Can't Tell You Why", "Love Will Keep Us Alive". Joe Walsh: "In The City" Don Felder: "Hotel California"(writer), "Victim Of Love"(writer, unreleased lead singer version).
Thank you for reacting to this. This was my favorite band when I was a teenager. The year that the Hotel California album came out was the first year that I could drive. I listened to all of it over and over in my car while driving. In my humble opinion Hotel California is one of the most iconic songs of all time. And the guitar work is THE most iconic of all time. The lead guitarists, Joe Walsh and, especially, Don Felder are way underrated.
I really don’t have a fav member because they all did the writing, singing, and play the instruments. I love Randy for being actual an introvert but he is the high note for the harmonies. Also, he sings lead on Take it to the limit. I don’t think Randy was treated the way he should’ve been. RIP Randy. The guitar work by Felder and Walsh is legendary.
Several band members went on to have solo careers, and had hit songs. One of the guitarist, Joe Walsh, "Life's Been Good." The drummer, Don Henley, "Boys of Summer!" And the regular guitarist, Glen Fry, "You belong to the City!" All hits!!!!
Elvis, the Beatles, Led Zeppelin, and the Eagles! The music gods of the 50’s,60’s, and 70’s! In my humble opinion! 😎🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 When music was real! 🤷🏻♂️🙏✝️❤️🇺🇸
Best bands of history: Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Queen, Eagles, Deep Purple, Supertramp, Creedence, Dire Straits, Gênesis and KISS. Hotel California for me top 10
I'm sorry but that's a questionable list, even though I like all of the bands. Floyd and Zep for sure, Queen, Eagles maybe.. Kiss a big no....I mean no Beatles, Stones, the Who, Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Black Sabbath, Rush, Yes, Cream, Fleetwood Mac, Steely Dan, plus a few dozen others not even counting soul and r&b bands. But I guess we all have our preferences
They all take turns singing lead at the mic except for Don Felder. Joe Walsh, Randy Meisner, Glen Frey, Timothy B. Schmidt. All just as fantastic a singer as Don Henley.
Take It To The Limit live for the same time period (1977) is definitely your best bet. The band was incredible it literally had 4 guys who could and did sing lead and do it very well. Don Henley (this song), Glenn Frey, Randy Meisner and Joe Walsh. Randy Meisner sings lead on Take it to the Limit.
Nothing sounds like a Gibson EDS-1275 Doubleneck guitar. That flourish when Don Felder is playing the upper neck sounds incredible. The instrumentation and vocals are top tier,…. Next level stuff. My favorite song,..then Stairway and Freebird!!! Loved your reaction on this one Emma!!! 🔥🎸😀✊✌️
I heard this on the radio when it came out and bought the album the next day. 76 I think. My first album. I still love them. It's a very deep rabbit hole.
Don Felder composed most of the music, while Don Henley wrote the awesome lyrics. Don Felder is a guitar genius who doesn't get the credit he deserves, imo. Thanks for your respected reaction, Emma.
A great song! The Solo Lead in this song is Don Henley. If you want to react to a great solo hit by him in 2000, I recommend "Taking You Home", a beautiiful song. Also, the other famous vocalist the late Glenn Frey also went solo in the 1980s. His 1982 hit song "The One You Love" is a very melancholic, but beautiful song. Great reaction Emma!
The best version of this song is the extended intro from the History of the Eagles tour. There is a video from their performance in Sydney Australia. Video was amazing, seeing it live later that tour, no words. I've seen them several times over years luckily with all of the original members still alive (if not on stage There is a song they used to do as a warm up exercise. It wound up being included albums & set lists. 7 Bridges Road. I can't reccomend it enough
I've seen many bands back in the day but The Eagles are FLAWLESS live and actually better than many of the studio cuts. They were something to see. Also, if you want to hear some solo stuff from the drummer (Don Henley,) you should try One Of These Night's or Witchy Woman. Nice reaction BTW!
The first of many times I’ve seen the Eagles was in Frankfurt in 1977. I was stationed there at Rhein Main AFB. Joe Walsh the guy with the bandanna had some great hits before the Eagles and Don Henley the drummer had many hits after the Eagles:
I suggest you try "Desperado" as a follow up. Since all of them.are multi talented, you cant go.wrong with any of them as the lead singer. One of my all time favorites is "I Can't Tell You Why".
Eagles band on this song Don Henley Lead Vocals/ Drums Glenn Frey. Acoustic Guitar Randy Meisner Bass Joe Walsh. Lead Guitar Don Felder. Double neck Lead Guitar ** The music for this song was written by guitarist Don Felder , the lyrics were put together with the help of Don Henley & Glenn Frey The rest is musical history.
The words “they stab it with their steely knives but they just can’t kill the beast” is supposedly a dig at the guys in Steely Dan with whom the Eagles had some sort of feud at the time. They must have resolved it because they were just recently on tour together.
Well, now you got to REACT to JOE WALSH, he is the guitarist with the bandana, GREAT SINGER, very cool songs and in my opinion one of the coolest people ever. He has SOLO stuff , and also he had a band called THE JAMES GANG. 👍🍀
one of my earliest memories is jumping on my sisters bed listening to the eagles when I was 3 or 4 in the early 80's. that and ozzy's first album shaped my entire musical life.
The Eagles...my favorite group of all time. I was in college during that period. Hotel California is a classic. Early on,Glenn Frey(RIP),was the lead singer. Over time,Don Henley(the drummer),took on that role. After the Eagles broke up,Henley had a number of solo hits in the 80s. The group re-united in the early 90s and have continued to tour and produced several new albums after getting back together.
Me thinks the Lady doth love it too much. The only reaction possible with the Eagles. I had the pleasure of having Joe Walsh (the guitarist wearing the bandana) sit in with my band for about 5 songs one night. He was taking a break from a recording session in a studio just down the street. This was in his solo years between the James Gang and the Eagles. Great moment for a young musician (I was a HS student and the youngest in the band) at the start of his career. The Eagles was full of musicians at the peak of their creative years and they and all their solo works are a great big rabbit hole to jump into.
The greatest rock song of all time... I was 23 when this song came out in the college.. The days of the 33 1/3 RPM..LP ies & the record players... cassettes were just coming out.. Don Healy is a great singer & drummer...he has lots of his own solo song singing..latter Love ❤ from Madras ( Chennai ) TN Southern India 🎉😂
*Eagles* Hotel California !!! One of my all time favorites and next up by the Eagles another of my all time favorites.... Take It To The Limit... The girls all loved it when Randy (bass) hit those high notes at the end.
I’m 60 this is what were listening to in our teens, we had spectacular music……
You can check out anytime you like, but you can never leave. One of the best lyrics in Rock and Roll history.
Randy Meisner Take it To The Limit live.
Great Eagles song for singer's reaction!
Best guitar duet ever.
One of the greatest of all time, such a timeless classic
"One Of These Nights" is another brilliant one that the drummer sings
Greatest American rock song ever
This song will never get old.
The guitar solo is one of the greatest guitar solos ever recorded l
It was mandatory that every 70's household had to have this album!
The Eagles are a supergroup. Several of the guys sang lead on their various hits. Each having a distinctive voice. Very impressive band.
Each one also divas and primadonnas. That's one of the main reasons why they broke up. 😂
Those twin-lead guitars.... .descending arpeggios are too gorgeous. Joe Walsh looks so happy to be a part of that collaboration, fun to play and the result is so satisfying! Joe and Don..two of the finest.
Just commenting to say hi before Don Henley has this reaction blocked. :)
And for you Hitchhikers' Guide To The Galaxy fans, 'Journey of the Sorcerer' from One Of These Nights.
Only 2 members of the Eagles were members of Linda's band. 😊
A great list, but also check out Seven Bridges Road!
The guitar duet with the descending arpeggios is unmatched!
What does arppegious mean. I know spelled it wrong llol
Emma, with your musical knowledge and the love you show for music, it's hard to believe you have missed out on a lot of these classic songs.
I'd like to suggest Joe Walsh, Rocky Mountain Way.. its excellent!!!
Classic rock 101
Desperado is one of my favorite albums ever, end to end. The Eagles are quintessential American rock. Thank you for the reaction.
Oh, nearly forgot, if you want to listen to some crazy harmonies by the Eagles, "Seven bridges road" is a must !!!!
Absolutely! For me, it's their best song.
OK! WIll do! thank you!😘
One of my favorites, also Those Shoes.
Great reaction Emma! Love how you were really feeling the music. It has that effect on pretty much everyone. I've heard it 1000s of time still love it. Great Harmony leads in this one!

The Eagles are a great band. A few different versions throughout the years. This live show was one of their best. Emma!!! ❤️😍🥰💕💘
Hi Emma, I see that your emotions are better now. I am happy when I look at you and see your lightness and smile. I love your hands for their naturalness and the truth emanating from them. Keep it up. I bow low, greet you and wish you only the best
Best guitar duet ever! Great, great band to see in concert! They're currently playing a residence in Vegas! Go see them while you still can!
Oh Yeah! Love it!!!

Bass player singing
I was at the only “Hotel California” concert at Madison Square Garden (NYC) in March 1977. It was the best concert I ever went to.
Eagles are amazing! Legends!
Before they were a band, many of them played as studio musicians and, most famously, toured with Linda Ronstadt in the late 1960s and early 1970s.
Don Henley - Drums and Lead Vocalist (for this track and a majority of the others)

Don and Glenn were the musical motor of the band. They also both had very successful solo careers. Glenn even dabbled in acting in shows like Miami Vice and movies like Jerry Maguire. Some great songs from their solo careers are:
Don: The Boys Of Summer, Dirty Laundry, In A New York Minute, The End of the Innocence, All She Wants To Do Is Dance
Glenn: The Heat Is On (theme to Beverly Hills Cop), Smuggler's Blues & You Belong To the City (both from Miami Vice)
Co-Lead guitarists:
Joe Walsh - Single-necked guitar with the bandana on his head
Don Felder - Double necked guitar (12 string & 6 string combo)
Don Felder came up with the music for the song and wanted to sing it. However, he didn't have the voice. While all of the guys have amazing voices that blend well for the harmonies, Don and Joe don't really have lead vocal chops. They are exceptional guitarists!

The Eagles are Legends! Great song. Listen to "I can't tell you why" or "Desparado" of Take it Easy" or "Witchy Women". Just to start with Emma! Thanks for sharing my friend!❤️❤️💛💛🦅
I hope this video wont get blocked. This song/video almost always gets blocked. Great reaction Emma!
We just have to count ourselves lucky to see it before Don Henley finds it.
@chrissmalley83 yes don should just leave them alone! The reactors are doing free PR for the group
One of my favourite songs of theirs is Take it to the Limit. Its a slow, smoochy number. Worth a listen 🎶
Here's a few songs of them for you to check out :)
Take It Easy
Desperado
Take It To The Limit
Peaceful Easy Feeling
Tequila Sunrise
New Kid In Town
Life In The Fast Lane
The Best Of My Love
One Of These Nights
Lyin' Eyes
Witchy Woman
Love Will Keep Us Alive
Seven Bridges Road
Heartache Tonight
And to top it off, since we are coming up on Christmas, they did make a really beautiful christmas song called "Please Come Home For Christmas" Enjoy!
Back before they started miming. This is a great track from a great album. Here in the UK the song was everywhere. This reminds me of long hot summers listening to Capital Radio, who played the song at leat a dozen times every day.
Don Henley is the drummer. He went on to have a semi-successful solo career. My favourite songs from him are "Boys of Summer", "For My Wedding", "Everything is Different Now"
Eagles were definitely supergroup but Henley is still very protective of the business side. Careful .
Live versions I believe are always safe, but I am not a lawyer, so, who knows.
This is a Masterpiece !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Don Henley is one of the lead singing drummer GOATs. You need to be a talented person to sing and play drums simultaneously.
Love your reactions. Be careful with The Eagles, many people get a strike from their team of lawyers.
Don Henley at the drums. For other songs sung by Don, try "Wasted time", "The last Resort", "Desperado", "Victim of love", "Witchy Woman" ..... or one of my favourites, where you get to listen to more members sing as well, "Doolin Darton".
The Eagles ,true legend American band
the bassist sings on Take it to the Limit, the drummer sings on his own in the songs The Heart of the Matter and Boys of Summer both really excellent also Age of the Innocence
this was a great tour (1977). I also saw Lynyrd Skynyrd that year in concert

Don Henley (the drummer) had a huge hit (among many) called the Boys of Summer. Would love to see you react to that one!
One of the best guitar solos in rock history.

Rest in Peace Glenn Frey and Randy Meisner
The dual guitars at the end make it worth the wait.🤩🤩
The only rock song I know that is based on a Tango beat... Genius!
Drummer is Don Henley, as a solo artist check out BOYS OF SUMMER.

Best bands of history: Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Queen, Eagles, Deep Purple, Supertramp, Creedence, Dire Straits, Gênesis and KISS. Hotel California for me top 10
You forgot Robin Trower...

@kroft6799 Uriah Heep too!
For more of Don Henley (the drummer), "Desperado" would be a great example of his voice and songwriting prowess. 🤘😎❤
Other songs sung by Don Henley are "One of These Nights", "Life In the Fast Lane", "Desperado", "The Long Run"
Felder/Walsh together, stunning.
I like Emma's Rock n Roll faces, and denim jacket. 😎🤘
Thanks for that!
Witchy woman and New Kid in town!!
This was my parents favorite band. This became one of my favorite songs of all time.Great job on your reaction Emma.
The best version of this song is the extended intro from the History of the Eagles tour. There is a video from their performance in Sydney Australia. Video was amazing, seeing it live later that tour, no words. I've seen them several times over years luckily with all of the original members still alive (if not on stage
There is a song they used to do as a warm up exercise.
Emma! You are so much fun! ❤
Thank you 🤗😘🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶
Who remembers when Joe Walsh auditioned to be the guitarist for the band on the Drew Carey Show? So funny.
Eagles band on this song
Don Henley Lead Vocals/ Drums
Glenn Frey. Acoustic Guitar
Randy Meisner Bass
Joe Walsh. Lead Guitar
Don Felder. Double neck Lead Guitar
** The music for this song was written by guitarist Don Felder , the lyrics were put together with the help of Don Henley & Glenn Frey The rest is musical history.
Excellent Emma!!!!
" One of these Nights" from same concert sung by Don Henley
Timothy B Schmidt "I can't tell you why".
How on earth did you avoid a copyright strike? I got nailed with a copyright strike by them and many other reactors got the same treatment.
Now you've finally heard my absolute favourite song ❤😊
Oh, it’s so great song!!! I agree with you!!! ☺️☺️☺️🎶🎶🎶
Don Healy is a great singer & drummer...he has lots of his own solo song singing..latter
