Her face when Don sings “you can check out anytime you like, but you can never leave” was amazing. Hotel California is one of the greatest songs of all time
I still get 'chills' when I hear that...ever since I 1st heard it in the mid-1970s...
That line was quoted in a U.K. Parliament debate. (Referring to the European Union)
TOP 5 AT LEAST
That line is about how once you do drugs you can never forget them. Quit all you want but you’ll always want them and never be the same again.
The Eagles were known for their studio quality live performances and 5 part harmonies. One of Americas best bands.
One of the best bands in history. Uk here
I met Timothy B. Schmidt-bass player and lead vocals on I Can’t Tell You Why in Sacramento California at Tower records for a book signing he was doing before the Hell Freezes Over tour in 94. His two elementary school teachers were there. Kindergarten and 1st grade. I’ll never forget the look on his face when they surprised him!
The Eagles, one of the all time great bands. The guitar duet with Don Felder and Joe Walsh at the end is just stunning. Try "Peaceful Easy Feeling".
Eagles, no "the"

Don Felder seldom gets mentioned in the top guitarist lists.... but he is top shelf on the fret board in my book... one of the very best.
One of the most famous American rock songs. Known world wide even to this day. The Eagles harmonies are second to none. LEGENDS
This album took the Eagles to a whole new level and blew us all away.
This is one of the albums that defined 70's rock.. I was in high school when it came out and it was everywhere. Just about every song on the album is fire. Worth checking out!
I graduated High school in 1977, and the Eagles were on the radio every day of the week :)
Practically every hour!!
I finished grad school in 77 and what you say is true.
I've got news for you, I live in Southern California and they still are. I probably hear this song between 2-4 times on the radio EVERY day. It's hard for me to step back and remember how good it is because it's so over-played here.
Every member of the band had hits on there own. It was a true super group.
In my mind "Hotel California" is THE trademark song of the Eagles. It was their #1 hit at the highest point in the band's career. Others may argue for different songs, but to me this is the one.
The eagles are considered " America's Beatles." Their greatest hits record is the biggest selling record of all time in all genre,, I was fortunate enough to see them twice in concert. They are as good live as they are on recording, They are the voice of a generation.. the greatest american band of all time...
I always believed that The Beach Boys were America’s Beatles…
Beatles not on the same planet
@@kevinm3428 Agreed, I'd consider The Eagles to be America's Led Zeppelin.
You are listening to a great classic
song by the Eagles i just turned 59
today and I have heard this song
over million times since the 70's
and it is one of my favorite songs
by them have a great Saturday evening
and Thank You very much Adrianna.
👑💎👑💎👑💎👑💎
Happy Birthday from South East London. I would love to exchange my 69 years for your 59! lol
Make sure you make the most of every day as time will seem, to pass much more quickly now.
Also, weariness can set in and I have had only 2 hours in Hospital since 1960 but,for example, 3 hours ago,I went to watch a movie and just crashed out, which is beginning to happen more frequently now and never dis at "59"
JUST 1 MILLION LOL IM @2
One of the best ever live bands. Saw them twice, saw this concert, same year.
This is one song you can NEVER get tired of hearing. It has absolutely everything to draw you in and keep you listening.
Another one you'll probably like is "Sympathy For The Devil" but the Rolling Stones. It is a great teaching tale.
Such a classic. One of my faves. Excellent choice! 👌
NEVER EVER talk over one of the greatest guitar jams!
joke, she's beautiful European, can't help it. That's OK.
They will always remain one of the greatest all time sounds.
One of the best songs of all times. I have been an Eagles fan since they first came on the scene.Yes I have been around that long. My regret is I never got to see them live.
Every member had sensational individual accomplishments each and every one.
There are particular songs and artist from the past that I enjoy watching young people discover. "Hotel California" is definitely one of them. It never gets old. I have the same enjoyment from people discovering the contemporary artist Dimash, well-known around the world, but not so much in the USA.
One of the most talked about songs lyrically. So many different opinions on what its about. Don Henley finally said its about going from innocence to experience.
1970's California was a very strange, exhilarating time to be alive. Every single night, somewhere in the Hills or the Valley, you could find parties and people that defied explanation and sanity straight out of a David Lynch film. It was glorious, it was tragic, it was enough to melt your mind, and it will never happen again. I miss it dearly.
I was fortunate enough to see them in concert years ago and it was an amazing time!
Just about a perfectly crafted and structured song. You can always know because those are the songs you never really get tired of listening to haha.
The singer/drummer is Don Henley. Those that can sing and drum at the same time are a special breed of musicians. Many of the Eagles also had great solo careers such as Don Henley, Don Felder, Joe Walsh, and Glenn Fry. The entire album is outstanding that even if you can't react to it, still check it out on your own. You will definitely dig it.
Yes, Don and, famously,Phil Collins are two o a very rare breed who can do both Disciplibes at once.
@@Isleofskye Karen Carpenter, Levon Helm.
I agree. It’s very rare to see drummer sing a whole song. I can count on my hand.
Heck he’s one of co lead singers of the band and half of their hits are sung by him and the late Glenn Frey (he’s the one playing the acoustic guitar).
'Glenn _Frey_ '
In the 1970s everyone listened to the radio, so when a song was popular it was in everyone's mind and feeling for many months. Then a whole year came to be associated with the feeling of that song.
YEP I WAS 16 IN 1977 I HAD A BLAAAAAAAAAST
Single greatest guitar duet EVER . . . . .
I love this reaction! She is really enjoying this awesome song.
I am 73 now. Every time I listen I am young again.
Thanks a lot.
The drummer is the lead vocalist. So rare. I freakin' love it. Simply an amazing song. Worthy of a classic status. And let's not forget about those guitarists. They killed this.
Phil Collins in Genesis
Karen Carpenter
Mickey dolenz (when he was allowed to play)
Rare but when it works it WORKS!
@@voiceofraisin3778 don’t forget Levon Helm of The Band
I saw many reactions of this song but this is the best reaction😂
One of the best harmony lead guitar duets you will ever hear!
Don Felder wrote all the music on this song but it's the back and forth with Joe Walsh that make this my favorite guitar solo of all time. my number 2 is Goodbye to love by the Carpenters.
how good dose this sound for music recorded in the 70's.... eagles were amazing... allmost 50 years old and it still sounds amazing.
There are great bands, there are Legends, there are superstars,
Just know this, the Eagles look DOWN on all of them!!!!
LOL EXSEPT LED ZEP
Hey Adrianna! Great reaction to a truly legendary and iconic song! I should warn you I've heard from other reactors that The Eagles are particularly harsh in the enforcement of the copyright. So I hope you can keep this up, but don't take it too hard if you get flagged..
That said I'm really glad you're expanding to music reactions as well. I can't wait to see what you bring us next. As always thanks all the hard work and have a wonderful rest of your weekend!!
I think it's mostly Don Henley enforcing the copyright. I heard he has over 50 people scanning the internet for infractions. Then at the other end of the scale, there are other artists like Phil Collins that encourage people to feature his songs. He thinks of it as free advertisements.
This is my favorite group. I’ve seen them twice and I hope to see them one more time before they stop touring in 2 years. I saw the Hotel California tour 3 years ago. I was born 4 years after Hotel California and it was so cool to hear my favorite Eagles album in concert.
Don Henley (the drummer) is an amazing drummer. He and the late Glenn Frey (he’s the one playing the acoustic guitar) have written so many great songs together.
Bài hát hay nhất nó luôn trương tôn mãi mãi theo thời gian❤❤thích cách đánh giá của bạn
Maybe the greatest group of talent on stage at one time ever
All we're lead singers .all had their own careers separate from the group
All we're great musicians.
This was there 1st number one song for weeks. Glenn Frey said this song made us have a little hardning of our artistry.
This is the absolute greatest song about a drug rehab center ever written. It beats all other rehab songs.
Hahaha,
But seriously, this song is so deep in what it says about how addiction can get a hold of you and not let go. It still blows my mind and I’ve been an Eagles fan forever.
it's in music like this where rock transcends mere rock.
I was 15 first time hearing this song. My family and i were going vacation and traveling through the Smokey Mountains. Listening to rock was forbidden in my house so we had to be sneaky about it. I caught one radio station in the mountains that would come in even slightly good. Made it through the song as the station faded away. Between that and my father and i pulling over in a rainstorm to listen to "I love a Rainy Night" by Eddie Rabbit are two of my fondest childhood memories. How sad is that?
their harmony is second to none. such a great band
Late 90s Hell Freezes Over Tour this song is done acousticly mics only electrical equipment
CLASSIC EAGLES ❤️
Love them. This is the year I graduated from high school we all loved them. Oh yeah, those were the days.
Good gosh all mighty!
One of the all-time great bands that produced several hit songs. Also known to reproduce and at times even sound better than their studio recordings. Had the pleasure of seeing them in concert twice, last one in Baltimore in 2022.
One of my favorites groups ever , they have so many great songs sweetheart , you just keep on listening , I'm with you , love your reaction❤
PURE TALENT NO AUTOTUNE OR COMPUTER HACKS🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🇦🇺
Auto tune? What are you,70?
well said sir, back then musicians had to put effort
THE 70DZ DIDNT NEED AUTO CHEAT AND IL PATEN THAT LOLOLOLOLOLO
She is glamorous!
Just a heads up, pausing and talking during rhe iconic guitar duet, is criminal.
Wonderful, heartfelt reaction. Try the Eagles "New Kid in Town" from the same concert. You won't be disapointed.
Can't go wrong with anything by the Eagles, one of the best concerts I've ever gone to. :)
The way I experienced this song as a kid was similar. Is so well layered, it takes time to digest. Lyrics, meaning it's a journey harmonies, vocal, guitars, musicians putting it all together. First times it grabbed me but all I could focus on was the Lyrics
A timeless classic all generations can enjoy!
1995 "hell Freezes Over" Tour.....That was a moment in time I cherish. One of the greatest songs from one of the greatest bands of all time. I thank the Lord I got to see these guys live one time in my life.
This is one song which will never have a better version, every aspect of it is perfect for the song
My mom was a big fan of the Eagles and she requested that at her funeral that no sad “church music” as she called it, she wanted to hear nothing but the Eagles, so when that time came, she got her wish! At the time her funeral was taking place, there was also another funeral taking place and some of the people from that funeral started coming over and asking what was going on😂we just told them we were throwing a party for mom😂
The Eagles kick ass plain and simple their music transcends time there just isn't any music that can stand up to this standard of brilliance even to this day. Absolute legends
I was fortunate to see them 4 times.
So many great songs.
One of the most successful American bands of all time. Songwriting a harmonies...Masterful.
yes.. this is a major classic...a great story and adventure.
Never talk over the guitar solo
I love this song so much; it has great lyrics. I can't think of anyone who doesn't love the Eagles, except for maybe the Dude.
Great song great group these guys were involved with most of the rock that came from California.
I heard this band use to own a place 1/4 mile from where I stay. I like to imagine this song was written there.
Always loves the Eagles and oooh yeah the singer/drummer I cleaned his Moms car in the mid 90s and the same place his first band (the 4 Speeds) played Lanier Chevrolet in Linden Texas ... Sadly i never got to meet Don
California in the 70s and 80s
every musician alive came here.
The sunset strip, Cal jam, us festival….
I have easily seen over 100 groups play live.
(Every legendary musician you can think of)
Exactly. What a Great Song!
You look like beautiful Lynda Carter aka Wonder Woman from the 70’s here like her alter ego-Diana Prince❤️❤️❤️😍😍😍🥰🥰🥰😘😘😘
What a compliment🥰✨
Creepy! On the register are you?
Just my opinion but this is the best rock group in the last 50yrs you should listen to a song by the Eagles, called "THOSE SHOE'S" it's wild!! Think you will enjoy it.
The Eagles are a great band... one of the songs I like by them that I feel is under played is "Those Shoes". I love the attitude in the song. Don and Joe's use of the talkbox on the guitar are great...
You’re a source of happy, good! Thank you!❤😊❤
Every single member of the band is a lead vocalist in their own right, and have their own successful careers alongside The Eagles.
was lucky enough to see them back in the mid 70s. it was probably this tour. they were great.
it's so fun to see a first time reaction to such a classic, thanks.
You would have LOVED being at those concerts. They were awesome
This is probably their best known but they did some other great songs Life In The Fast Lane, Tequila Sunrise, Desperado, the drummer (Don Henley) did a solo album called Building The Perfect Beast which was class
This is why rock and roll rules.
I was lucky to catch The Eagles live in 2014 during their _History of The Eagles_ tour. I'm glad that I did it when I did because that turned out to be the last tour to have founding member Glenn Frey in it. He died in early 2016.
I saw them in the 80’s in Philadelphia with Joe Walsh right after the release of HC ! Fantastic night ! Never forget their sound! Hotel California was my favorite track !
No autotune here, swift!
Legendary band, so many great songs, there’s a lot for you to react to and enjoy
Every one in this band could sing! Great reaction✌️
Saw them Crisler Arena and debuted Hotel California prior to it being released dedicating it to their friend Bob Seger. What an incredible concert.
I was 21 and this was the hit and group of the day. They were amazing to listen to in my youth .....
HC is so great that even my piano cover sounds good! 😉
Congrats to the channel for choosing it 👏👏👏
they had such wonderful harmonies
i enjoy watching you young people discovering good old music 🙂
Lovely reaction from a lovely girl. Pure magic.
💛✨
Awesome group love this song
This is what I grew up listening too. As a Teenager , thanks for the great Reaction. Heart or even Home Free endless road
they make it look so easy
I was 11 yrs old when i buy that album. Still got it , lovin it every song . But the best song to me is Life In The Fast Lane. So well palyed and ..cool. Play Bass & ...woo
This pure Rock magic--proof that Rock can be totally beautiful...I believe people likev Mozart, Beethoven, and Strauss would approve, and be envious of what modern instruments can produce!
There is also a reference to Steely Dan in this song: 'They stab it with their steely knives, but they just can't kill the beast'. They put that in as a joke, and because they were friends with the guys in the band.
AMAZING BEAUTIFUL!💓💕
Fantastic responses, loved it.
