Their live performances sound just like the studio recording. Hard to do, but they do it all the time.
Well said
The live Version Sounds better
It is hard if talent is connected to engineer. Real talent can easily sound the same live and recorded.
The original version had Bernie Leadon wailing away on a 5-string banjo during the last 20-30 seconds ; it made one hell of a lot of difference, INHO !
saw them at the forum in 2018 and they did sound like the studio recording. hands down the best concert ever. 🎼🎶🎸🎹
My first Eagles concert was in 1976, they toured with Linda Rondstadt, I was 14 at the time one of my best memories from my teens.. I took my 14 year old son to see them last month. The Eagles are timeless... Life has been good! BIG LOVE to you all.
Good for you! You introduced him to some great music while the Eagles are still touring!
'Take it Easy" has to have one of the most iconic verses in the history of rock. Randy Meisner did his best performance ever of 'Take it to the Limit", you might want to give that one a listen. I was at this concert at the old Capitol Center, it's gone now, and it was one of the best concerts of the 70s I attended. It really stands out in my memory. I actually went because this was my first chance to see Joe Walsh since he'd left the James Gang. Joe did not disappoint with "Rocky Mountain Way". There was some partying outside before the concert, the crowd was pumped and the Eagles never sounded better. I think we slept in our cars after the concert because of the traffic and the ehhhhh, partying. It was worth it, the police were chill. Great time.
I think I was there, If I remember right, they had a black carpet on the whole stage, maybe I'm mistaken?
@@rosieohdonald1364 You may be right about the black carpet on the stage, it would have suited the the set decoration. It was a great concert though, wasn't it?
Yuppers, I saw the Eagles, once in a lifetime
Saw this tour in 1977. Steve Miller was the support act. Fantastic performers with an incredible catalog of Hits.
That is wild I just saw Eagles and Steve Miller in Oct last year.
Take it to the Limit is a great live song to listen to. Vocals are phenomenal.
EAGLES are the best no doubt Great Songs , Great Lyrics , Great singers , Great Songwriters, Great Musicians, Great Performers, they are the total package
Travis
I was fortunate enough to see Eagles in concert with a friend in 2002 when they did their one of Hell Freezes Over tours in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. They played there for 2 nights. I remembered Joe Walsh wearing a helmet with a camera pointing at the audience and his bandmates. This concert and others were before sudden death of Glenn Frey (singer on this song). His son, Deacon stepped in for his late father. Now, Vince Gill is the singer for Eagles.
They’ve had such an epic lineup over the years 🤯
Cowritten with Jackson Browne. You should check him out if you haven't already. He wrote some pretty amazing songs.
no matter the lineup, the eagles were a hit machine!
I saw the Eagles in 1976 at the bicentennial concert on July 4th at Tampa Stadium with Fleetwood Mac and Loggins and Messina. It was their first tour with Joe Walsh as a member and it was an incredible concert.
Some of the very best harmonizing in the business!!! Spectacular in concert!!!🤘🤘🤘🎶🎼🎵🥁🎸🎹🎤🎙🎧🤘🤘
Desperado is definitely an Eagles classic. Maybe their most haunting tune. Linda Ronstadt also has a banging cover of that one, but since Frey and Hendley were part of her original solo tour backing band that was understandable.
Chill make-out tunes that will still sound incredible for many generations to come. Great driving music that makes ya happy.
They are SOLIDLY in the Country/Rock genre. Ive seen them a couple of times, they are one of those bands where the vocals are BALL ON DEAD CENTER TOP
I saw them in concert in D.C. a few years ago. Best concert ever! James Taylor opened up for them. Fantastic night.
I was at this concert-it was my senior year of college and it was awesome from beginning to end. Such a talented group!
The Eagles are the best rock-n-roll guitar group in history alongside Lynyrd Skynyrd, imo.
Honestly one of those bands with too many great songs to list. I’d recommend just pulling up their hits list and going for that. 🤙🏻
React to Joe Walsh, “Rocky Mountain Way”, “Funk, 49”, “Walk away”, “Life’s been Good”, “All Night Long”, and more.
First song I learned to play was Lyin' Eyes by the Eagles. I was just a beginner and struggled with the B-Minor chord, but I figured it out. This was the second song. I was like Holy crap-all open chords? That was 40 years ago.
Saw Eagles in Phoenix in 1972, opened up for Humble Pie (with Frampton)
Thanks Travis for this. The Eagles are a favorite of mine. All very good at their craft.I know they all didn't always get along, but the music they made was very good.I have a couple of suggestions for you.Another power trio to check out is Grand Funk Railroad, and you did play some Robin Trower for me but the one I asked for wasn't the best quality.Try Daydream from Robin Trower in 2005,it was his 60th birthday from the Rockpalast and it shows what he can do with a strat and some great effects. Thanks again!
One of my favorites! Thanks for the review
One of my favorite songs from the Hotel California album is Last Resort. The emotion of the message really brings it home.
In the early 80's, I was on my way to Phoenix from New England . And, I actually stood on a corner in Winslow AZ. One of life's one offs.
Had to watch this right away as Eagles are notorious for having their videos taken down. They have always been in my top 10 rock groups - usually around 7th or 8th
A much younger me was at The Long Run concert in the 70s... it is still one of the best shows I ever saw.
Life in the Fast Lane
Country Artist reacts for the first time to the Eagles. That is selling it! Totally plausible.
If you haven't yet need to check out the song that they most sing for there last song for the night called Hotel California sing by the drummer name Don Henley many years ago I was on vacation in Branson ,MO and we saw the tribute band for the Eagles they sound very close to the original band the next night we saw the Oak Ridge Boys there live they was just passing through then that's how we saw them
the Eagles tribute band we saw are from Branson, MO
TIMELESS,NO DOUBT!!! GOOD CALL! -HOTEL CALIFORNIA, LIVE 1977
React to the Live Performance from Sony Australia from their 1st Farewell Tour …that song would be
ALREADY GONE epic masterpiece.
I'm not at all a fan of this kind music ... but I'm more than impressed and most definitely enjoyed this one. Good music is good music period ... music without borders.
midnight flyer, my man, after the thrill is gone
Thanks for that! You said it well.
Hotel California is my very favorite Eagles song. Profound. Smugglers Blues is by several members of the Eagles.
Randy Meisner needs to be praised. He cowrote the song Take It To The Limit, and sang it beautifully live. RIP Randy❤
Check out take it to the limit..same concert, capital centre 1977. Randy Mesner was amazing. Cheers
I like the studio version of " I can't tell you why " , also the studio version of :In the City "
Of course, you have to do the live version of "Hotel California" from this same concert, I am just now chiming in, you may have already done it,
Not yet, but I’ll add it to the list
Good deal, this is the reaction video that people like to see, I know you will like, and be asking, "Why did I wait so long? "
Need to give Jackson Browne credit for initiating this song.
One of these nights
That's good old Joe Walsh with the bandanna. He took over after Bernie left the band.
Best all around band ever. Check out Take it to the Limit, live 1975
Eagles with Linda Ronstadt were one of the pioneers of the "Country Rock or Southern Rock Genre."
How many people who grew up listening to the Eagles know every lyric to most of their songs? Many...
Me. Lol. Love 'em.
How hard a song is or not shouldn't have anything to do with how good it sounds. At the end of the day, does anyone want to hear you play that matters. Nobody says, that sounds hard so I;m going to go out and buy it. If it's too complicated it's not easy listening to the ear when it comes to rock or country.
Wonderful reaction. Take It Easy is an Eagle's song that you should highly consider for a video.
Great band!
Legend’s
I'm a HUGE Rush fan, but the Eagles are my favorite "normal" band. Every one of those musicians is a great musician and play multiple roles. All but one of them sings lead on several songs, 3 of them had massive solo careers - Joe Walsh, Glen Frey, Don Henley. Don Felder is still recording and touring as well - and they had amazing harmonies. You should check out Seven Bridges Road to see and hear how these guys could all reallly, and I mean, REALLY sing together!
Nothing today can hold a candle to this!!!!
It's great too
The best ever.❤
Face it guys. After the 70s, music is on a ventilator!
😬
Just found your chan el. Id love to see from the same concert Lying Eyes, Take It To the Limit and Hotel California - all wonderful performances from this concert . Great reaction to one of my favourite Eagles songs .
Grew up on The Eagles ❤
First time viewer of this channel. Please mention the song name in your video heading.
Eagles are a strong draw, needless to say. Never saw this version of Take It Easy. Didn't disappoint. There is never much of a letdown in song quality in an Eagles live performance, although the studio versions are always more powerful overall. Good reaction to a great song. New subscriber.
#THEEAGLES #HOMEFREE #VOICEPLAY #BASSGANG
Since we're doing some classics, also from 1977, how about Heart - "Barracuda"
If you like Tom Macdonald you will like "Get Over It"...I think it is one of their best songs
I was there
Glenn Frey had some hits in the 90s too after went solo
You'll never find a better spending guitar player than Joe Walsh
7:00 it's 5 chords....but I get your point
I don't believe there's a country artist that never heard of the Eagles.
Sometimes the best guitar riffs are the ones you can hum.
Have you heard them before? I like seeing The people that haven't heard the band and what they think about.
It's funking EAGLES!! ❤
Legends.
Sure will miss Randy Meissner. RIP
Please react to the band OCEANBORN
Song: Lifting The Veil
Check out "Circle Sky" by the Monkees.
Send me a link!
I AM NOT SURE HOW MUCH YOU LIKED STEVE VAI AND YNGVE MALMSTEEN BUT YOU CAN SEE "QUADRATUM" COVER "FAR FROM THE SUN" AND "FOR THE LOVE OF GOD". QUADRATUM, ARE MUSICIANS FROM THE BAND "UNLUCKY MORPHEOUS. JILL DOES MOST OF THE GUITAR PARTS ON VIOLIN!!! MALMSTEEN SAID THAT FAR FROM THE SUN WAS INSPIRED BY VIOLIN COMPOSERS AND THAT IT WAS FANTASTIC TO SEE JILL PLAY IT ON VIOLIN.
I'm very much a classic progressive rock fan. However, Eagles is fantastic for radio play ear candy, something most progressive bands don't do.
IT KINDA HELPS IF YOU LIVED THROUGH `65 TO `75. THIS SONG WAS MUCH NEEDED BALM FOR OUR NATION.
@@maxmaidiac2237
Generation Jones here. Born in January of '60!
@@maxmaidiac2237 You don't need to yell!
Actually this is a song that was mostly written by Jackson Browne.. with some input by Glenn Frey.
There's a great live version of this with The Eagles, Jackson Brown and Linda Ronstadt all on stage.
So which "Eagles" are we talking about? Early (pre-Walsh) Eagles were pretty darn close to a country band to start with (Great stuff no doubt).
NEMOPHLA new single RISE
These words are right out of Obama's mouth when he awarded the Eagles the medal of freedom at the White House" he said the Eagles sold the most records and albums than any other musician in the entire 20th century and that's quite an accomplishment considering how much great music there was" and quote, Barack Obama
Nice job on resisting singing along. I know I can't.
Please react to more eagles,
I might have listened to this if you name the song
IMO only three bands have these harmonies: Eagles, Beach Boys and the Beatles
I know what you mean, but more than 3 chords. G, Em, Am, C, D
Take n off, LoL
Talented musicians who all ended up hating each other. I think Don H. and Glen were the main culprits behind a lot of that animosity with the rest of the band and between themselves as well imo. It’s yet another band soap opera that distracts people away from the music which should be the only thing that really matters…and the majority of it was great imo.
If you are a country artist, this can't be the first time you heard the Eagles
First time reacting, not listening
First time right.
🤣
Eagles were 10x better than modern country.
desperado reprise
WAIT? YOU DIDN'T GIVE ME A HEART FOR MY SUGGESTION? WHAT HAPPENED DID YOU ALREADY REACT TO UNLUCKY MORPHEOUS AND QUADRATUM COVERING STEVE VAI AND YNGVE MALMSTEEN?
No man stood on the stage that didn't play an instrument. Most of them these days hold a microphone and have back up music.
If rockers keep pop out of rock, we end up with pop containing no rock.
Ok so this is a first "reaction" video right? Not first time hearing? Because no self respecting country "artist" would have gone so long without having heard The Eagles.
Huh? For the 1st time. If he's been listening to country in the last 40 years he's been listening to the Eagles. Modern country IS the eagles
So its not his first time hearing them
1st, th Eagles, can’t do a bad song, 2nd, Bob Segar, can’t do a bad song, Clint Eastwood, can’t do a bad movie, but, enough of that, Jackson Brown, wrote, th majority of th song, he kept it for years, ( UNFINISHED) Glenn Frye, knew about it, pestered TH, he’ll outa him, & he gav it 2 him, where he (and maybe Don Henley) finished it. 😂😂😂, Isn’t Histry GR8😂😂😂👍👍😎😎😎👍😂
zzzzzzzzzzz no thanks mate
Stay away from the eagles, don will come looking for the change in your couch cushions. You will get a strike
kind of blows my mind that a " country fan" has never listened to The Eagles.
Rock In Peace Glen Frey.
