    Follow a SOLIDWORKS Expert as she walks through the sample Certified SOLIDWORKS Associate (CSWA) sample exam and explains how to perform well in the actual test. This video covers questions 3 & 4, which are heavily focused on sketching and creating a simple part. The CSWA is the entry-level certification for SOLIDWORKS and should be possible to achieve after learning SOLDWORKS in an educational setting, after taking an Essentials course, or after using the program correctly for a few months.
    The SOLIDWORKS Certification program allows users to learn the program and challenge themselves to obtain official recognition in their mastery of the tool. Learn more about SOLIDWORKS Certifications at www.solidworks.com/sw/support...

    what shortcut keys are u using while u sketch? while u shift form line command to tangent arc and that sort

      To switch from a line to a tangent arc you have two options. One is to use the "a" key on your keyboard, which swaps back and forth (don't hold it down, just click it one time). If your line is mostly straight from the previous segment, it will be tangent to it. If the extension is mostly perpendicular to the line when you hit the "a" key it may apply a perpendicular tangent, so make sure the line is headed out in the direction you want the curvature to follow. Another way to enable that command is to touch off with the line tool. Start drawing the second segment and pull away the line preview, then come back and hover over the origin point for a second (no clicks) and leave a second time which should give you tangency. Hope those help, they are extremely useful shortcuts!!

    How do you know you had to start sketching on the front plane? How do you figure it out?

    • @MLCCADSystems
      @MLCCADSystems  Год назад +1

      One of the first skills to develop is the ability to look at a part or a model and identify the primary feature. If it is an extrusion, you choose a plane where you can see the profile. If the part has an obvious Front/Top/Right side, then it should be obvious which plane to sketch on, but many parts don't have an obvious orientation so you can just pick one, any one, and get started. I hope that helps!

    when making the same part i GET A MASS =1046.81 grammes I working solidworks 2021, there is a big difference, how do i solve that ? or is it due un update on the mass property function ?

    • @MLCCADSystems
      @MLCCADSystems  8 месяцев назад

      These parts are designed to be very sensitive to the specific features and relations that are called out. The mass properties are used by the test to confirm that the model is correct, so the most likely cause is that there is some discrepancy in how you defined the model relative to the intended design. Review your work and pay close attention to details, I hope that helps!

    Hello, is my answer very close to the answer key ok? Like the answer is 939.54 but my answer is 939.59

      There is an allowance for variation built into the test to account for service packs or other variation sources. I assume your answer would be correct and should not disrupt any related questions, but I don't know the exact accuracy range they use.

    I did this exercise i got mass about 850. Is this a problem?

    • @MLCCADSystems
      @MLCCADSystems  26 дней назад +1

      Yes. Measuring and reporting the mass of the part is how they determine if you built the model correctly. If your mass does not match up with the provided answer key, you have missed something important and would not get the correct answer. Double check dimensions and the material definition until you get the correct answer.
