I am having trouble aligning sketches like shown on 6:06 , it seems like I cant draw unless I am directly clicking on the selected sketch plane. Is there a way to fix this ?

Make sure your sketch gets created on the correct face, "Normal To" (ctrl+8) will orient the view normal to the active sketch plane to ensure you are sketching in the correct direction. If the sketch is off, or your view is off, start the process again at 5:30. I hope that helps!
