I used to have hundreds of rounds of the S&B because I was getting them for around 55 to 60 cent per round. I would buy 125 grain, 147 grain, and 200 grain to shoot them up in my two AR platform guns and my Ruger ranch too. They were great for the range and cost effective too. I have no idea what they cost these days. Now I just reload a lot of 300 black out for both super and sub sonic as well as range ammo and hunting ammo.
Would love to see some of the current AAC offerings from PSA tested.
Love 300blk subs suppressed. My 10.5" AR has no problem cycling suppressed or not. The only stuff I've harvested deer with were Black Butterfly 200gr Maker Buzzsaw, and it worked perfect.
Gorilla makes some absolutely devastating looking subs that at least for me cycle and group great in my 12.5 "other". Haven't shot them into any sort of medium. though.
All I use is Black Butterfly Maker Trex for hogs. Works great!

Yes I would think so. 75-100 yards is what I try for.
I love that Caldwell DFT 2 sled your using. Looks really good, and much easier to use an AR10 or 15 with a long magazine!! I use S & B ammo in my 6.5 Creedmoor all the time. Shoots good groups and is less pricey than most of the others out there. Thanks WTW!! 👍👍
You may want to get dedicated 300blk magazine, all my issue with loading and unloading went away after i got rid of the 223 magpul magazine

Look up discrete ballistics. They are subs and shoot great out of my cascade sb and scout. Killed a few white tails with them

Awesome video. Apart from that novelty Fort Scott stuff your new Ruger is a precision machine. I haven‘t seen any rifle on your channel being less picky and super precise.
In my opinion all that Fort Scott stuff is funky because it's meant to or at least tends to tumble. I'm surprised you didn't get a keyhole even at 100. 😅
The fort scott do the same from my .300 AR platform with 16" barrel. Glad to confirm it isn't just my rifle LOL.

I have this exact same rifle & it does the same thing where it's hard to open the bolt after a shot. For some reason it's only when a round is on the right side of the mag. I polished the underside of the bolt and it helps but it's not a fix. I switched to a lancer 10 round magazine L5-AWM and it's MUCH smoother. Thought you might wanna try that. Awesome videos btw!

Almost bought this exact rifle yesterday after seeing your last video on it. Decided to wait a week to see if I really still want it. I’m glad I did. I shoot exclusively subsonic 300bo and I’m not buying a rifle that I have to drop the magazine to extract or work the action.
Fort Scott is great for self defense, but stink for precision hunting. Stunk in my 20 inch 6.5 Grendel AR. Hornady black ELD match is sub moa and my choice in taking the last 3 whitetails I harvested with that rifle. I think the tumble on impact may tumble on the way to a 100 yard target. At least in my experience and now with WTW.
If they tumble on the way to 100, that's definitely not good. Did they keyhole the target?
@@scoyoungerNo. I was being sarcastic. I sight my Grendel at 50 for a 200 yard dead hold on deer vitals. The Hornady Black match I use is sub MOA at 50. Got 2 deer at 175 and 1 at 70. The fort Scott was like 1.5 inch groups at 50. Maybe worse. I can’t recall. At first I thought my barrel had issues till I shot the black. Consistent sub Moa with that.

The action was giving trouble with all the rounds. Maybe an issue with that magazine? (Got to be a problem with that or the rifle)
Worst time to test subsonics especially out of a 16” barrel. The speed of sound is lower through cooler air. So if your ammo is already on the threshold of going super in warm weather it is gonna go crack in the colder weather.

Have not. Me personally I wouldn't want that big long mag on it. Get in the way. Don't think it will work that way without modification

The Fort Scott tumbled upon a bad group in my 6.5 Grendel 20 inch AR. Would be good for self defense, but I passed them up for Whitetail hunting. Hornady ELD match got the nod for that and is 3 for 3 against the deer. Hopefully the Fort Scott are better in this setup. Definitely a sweet looking boolot.

Because it is quiet
Low recoil for youngsters and with maker subsonic bullets they open with three petals@1050 fps. Effective on deer inside 50 yds.
