Another awesome video! Regarding the extraction issue, that is a common problem with the Savage bolts. I have had a few do that. They use springs that are barely adequate for ejection and the pivot bearing for the extraction claw is mediocre at best. Good news is there are after market kits that can be purchased to fix the issue and usually I have only spent like 20 beans or less on them. I do the work myself but I imagine your friends at Heavy Metal could do it, if you didn't want to.

@@anthonyjackson8518 Anthony, I'll give you a safe starting point, but you must know that type of rifling, length of barrel and type of firearm will all play a part in this type of load. For my 16.25" cut rifling bolt action, 6.4 gr. of Bullseye gives me 1100 fps. If your barrel is longer, etc. you might need a bit more to get it out of the barrel. Make sure you check after each shot if you cannot see a hit downrange to be sure you haven't stuck one in the barrel. In my development, trying to get down to this level, with some of the powders like Unique (dirty) it would stick them after 2 or 3. It's really fun though to be able to use the .308 subsonic, so I keep trying different powders. Bullseye is much cleaner and this should give you a starting spot.

I have an AR and Bolt gun in x39 and it's AWESOME with a can. It's my main deer rig for under 125 yards and it works great with Tula 124gr soft points. It's crazy how quiet it is even shooting supersonic rounds. Don't buy any Hollow Point steel case ammo for hunting since that stuff acts like an FMJ.
There's not a lot of sub sonic rounds made for the x39 and I'm not aware of any expanding projectiles for hunting. If you want to hunt with subsonic rounds I'd recommend getting a 300 Blackout.
You can't go wrong with either.

Accuracy test are interesting, but results vary from gun to gun. What would really like to know (since you mentioned you don't just poke holes) is which subsonic will take down deer.

I wonder if some of them are meant to be subsonic out of a pistol, but have enough pressure behind them in the longer rifle barrel to go super? Really impressed with accuracy overall out of this new rifle! I bought that Bushnell Banner 2 to replace the scope that came on a Mossberg Patriot package and it was night & day better.
