- We've done a few upgrades to the Supermang, besides the new throttle body and bigger supercharger pulley, it's also got a new (second hand) supercharger.

L67 are a very underrated motor! mines surprises a fair few people thats for sure
She is sounding strong! And despite some opinions on anti seize on plug threads and the very temporary wank coating on them don’t install them dry im sick to death of repairing plug threads and getting stuck plugs out for people!

Thank you for the stall test! Yeah Simon's converters are tight good luck holding it on foot brake. My wh was 42-4400 flash but couldn't foot brake past 3200 without it doing the bat mobile smoke screen.

L67s are awesome my first boosted car had an l67 in the old vs statesman. Nothing could touch them at the traffic lights off the mark king haha

Reliable consistent numbers are the way to go. With all that said i'll be keen for the stroker motor and the M112 blower that goes on it (or a turbo)
M112 then add a turbo with the m112 like Richard Holdener did, he used an eBay gt45

I've gotta L67 VT Calais with stock boost and it's lots of fun especially in peak hour traffic and you see a gap when you need to change lanes, give it a love tap hard enough the whole car does a till back and people get out of the way

I know in some racing classes if you run forced induction they make you run a 45mm restrictor in the intake it restricts horsepower but creates torque might be worth a try to see how much if any gains anyway killer video can't wait to see track vids
Also I have a stock VP V6 engine with a 6v71 blower on it stock injectors in the vid no Tune will post link if you want to see it running. I will delete it after you have watched it if you want also

I love the Supermang video series a lot, very interesting to see what Holden (and you guys) over there in Australia made out of the Opel Omega A / Senator B which is its incarnation i am used to here in Germany ☺ .. those RWD Opels still were real cars which i love, not like those new school vehicles they build today 😔
They kinda are, except every part bar the door handles are different.
We have been doing this to all Opel models since the 70s, including the Kadett and Omega. The VB Commodore was the original to use an Omega as the base. 👍
@@Low760 yeah, that's why i find it that interesting.. as f.e. we over here never got a V8 engine in an Opel Omega, that's something we would have loved in this body. Actually 20 concept V8 Omegas were built by GM, they got a Corvette engine and the strong Holden V8 rear axle..
@@MafiaboysWorld i know, and as a gearhead and classic car lover appreciate it a lot. As for example i love the Torana, it's kind of an Ascona A on steroids, but way more developed and made better in many details.

@@nopadelik9286 I'm gonna go into both your answer to low and mine so it doesn't seem like I'm off topic. 😂👍 We DID have a V8 Torana concept aswell, called the Torana XU-2, but it used our 5.0L 308ci Holden motor, not the Corvette. Unfortunately, the gas crisis of the 70s killed it and every other muscle car being developed off (Phase 4 GTHO Falcon for example). 👎
It wasn't limited to GM either. Perfect example I know of off my head is the Ford Mark III (aka TC) Cortina. In Australia, it's called a Cortina and has the 250ci 4.1L inline six. In the UK, they fitted the 3.1L V6 and called it the Granada. Then on top of that, you got the two door version of that shell and called it the Taunus. Very confusing if you don't know what you're searching for.

I'd make that hp trade in a heart beat. Even if it doesn't run faster at the track you are making more power down low with 6 less psi of boost stressing internals. Dyno queens might like the extra hp, but people who actually drive on the streets know that is a good trade.
Hopefully in a burnout box soon to would be sick!

Have you guys thought of chucking on a Front Mount a2a intercooler, should be able to drop back down to a really small pulley then with sufficient cooling to the charged air, for memory it wouldn't fit with the front bar on on that VN as seen in another episode but maybe you can do some cutting and m'gyvering

Be interesting how the same setup goes without the intercooler. My guess would be much the same considering the boost is reasonably low and you're running E85

Oh snap, this is still an M90? I thought you'd upgraded to an M112 already. You're going to need a significant upgrade for the stroker motor, an M90 will choke it up really quick. An R1900 would do a beautiful job - you can turn it nice and slow so it won't heat the air up much, and the higher efficiency will mean lower parasitic drag on the crank for more power everywhere, baby!
How long does it take to go from Dandy to Mexico for that on road testing? 😜

Try not get caught In Mexico 🇲🇽 private roads that have workshops on them are pretty rare
Don’t coat NGK threads. They already have a trivalent coating
So that’s why I have to constantly do spark plug thread repair’s it’s because someone reads somewhere about a coating and believes that will protect it and prevent wear and corrosion on the thread!

Half a century and I’ve never had to do a plug thread repair in mine or any clients vehicle. You also can’t get the correct torque if you use crap on the threads.

Use 5L V8 plugs off the shelf. 0.5 gap is too small.
Yep, maybe one step colder BPR7EF would be the go. For 8psi 0.8-0.9gap would be fine, 0.5 is overkill

Why anyone ever persisted with the Eaton blower is beyond me , super small blower and a low volumetric efficiency….. I know let’s machine the snout and put a super small pulley on it and not make anymore boost but triple our intake temps 😂 and then wonder why 🤣🤣🤦♂️

@@rapposracing8538 I’m not in the habit of clicking random links in the RUclips comment section 🤣 but I searched your channel up and I’m assuming you are referring to the 10.75 @128 in a 1475kg VS ( could have been a VR apologies if it was ; either way it’s a second gen commodore ) don’t get me wrong it’s impressive but budget ? I get that V6 shit is reasonably cheap but it’s also not a factory L67 motor either it’s an ecotec with L67 top swap with nitrous . Mace camshaft and I can only guess a whole lot more fruit inside too . Built 4L60 and a converter and 3.7 gears . Is it running on 98 or E85 ? . Ok let’s look at a few different combo’s here … budget built 355 on the spray would go bottom 10’s über easy … hell I have seen 355’s running through factory bananas run into the 11’s N/A , as would a LS with a cam swap and nitrous (5.3 and upwards!) especially in a set up that only weighs 1475! My point is the people out there that think you can spin a poor little M90 with a pulley the size of a thimble and then the blower will make 40psi of pressure when it isn’t case .
Mate I’m happy for ya that you got a M90 blower to go 10.50’s it’s no mean feat but saying it’s a budget build is beyond a stretch !

They've got a big following and work well with small mods. My v6 setup is very simple and certainly a budget built for what it is, im under $10k for running 10s, all my cars are low$ builds and so is scotty's stuff compared to what most people spend, like his mate mindej he called out in the LS swap VN, he's spending way more $$ but im reakon scotty's going to give him a surprise when they hit the track
