Not sure how much of a budget build it is considering you have all that man power and mechanics working on it,but still good content anyway; got to love a barra
Just have to point out, that pinion gear/valve section likely has a torsion rod in it. Long story short, to 'manualize' you need to weld the upper part of the shaft to the lower section. If you put it in a vice, it will twist - if you don't disable that, it will have a mushy feel and react poorly to bumps.
Where can I get the sz territory mount? Ford parts had no idea they couldn’t even give me a catalogue number for it, unavailable is all I was told. Presumably petrol SZ TERRITORY?
I've got a factory egas 2007 BF sedan, is it possible to just drop a small turbo on it for a little extra boost or will the engine shit itself? Been told its guts are a little softer than stock barra's. Turbo on egas yeah I know but I have extremely limited budget and just want to mess around with my wheels.
Just for ease, keeps cost down by not having to make lines or buy a pump, less weight and things to leak up the front. Falcon power steering pumps are known for failing and leaking. Done these a few times and they work really well!!!
So far working out the cost its $800 for the Car $400 for the Motor $700 for the Auto $200 intercooler $550 in exhaust materials $200 intercooler piping materials $300 for loom and wiring $250 for ecu $100 for engine bay paint $150 Ford pedal $200 P/S and A/C delete $950 Headstuds and valve springs $850 allowed for a future proof fuel system $600 1000cc fuel injectors $1900 Borg warner SXE372 $160 New Radiator $1000 allowed for plenum $300 for hoses, bolts, misc $250 for transcooler Just under 10K at the moment we could probably reduce the intake to $150 for a factory BA-BF plenum and if we didnt use the $2600 worth of turbo manifold and gates we already had we could probably save another $2,000 all up but if we future proofed some items and the car proves to be as fun as we hope cause thats what this is all about having fun.
FG lpg will do 540rwkw with cams, springs, studs and oil pump gears. Pump gears are more if an issue if bouncing of the limiter. The lpg gas has stronger rods and 11.1:1 compression.
Nor Dic for sure . But this gas motors will be in short supply soon and I’ve heard amazing positives for the FG Na motor . Be nice to see if it’s true ?
Really should have welded the valve body on that steering rack before putting it back together to stop that small amount of free play they have, and I always slot the piston as well
$800 for a car $700 for a built auto and $400 thats a cheap start we could always do somethings cheaper but we may go further with this car depending on the result.
5:18 "From a distance, it looks alright" - The exact same thing I say about every project I have ever done 😄
ive never an e series that clean......... even in the 90s xD
Great to see some EA love! Beautiful modern day classic imo.
Love the hemi 6 pack Dyno poster on the wall in the engine room nice! You guys have good taste.
Shots fired! @Fullboost
ha ha! nothing like a bit of banter right? (we secretly love the fullboost guys!)
I can't believe how easy you make this look. Like playing with lego...
I'm enjoying this series, nice detail on what's done.

Great work and awesome detail 👍

Love the content mate ! Keep it up can’t wait for ep 3
Good idea with the territory P/S and Dayco A/C delete pullys. What did the pair set you back?
Check your sound Check-check 1-2-3 Check.Go HARD.Adam
Awesome work guys
Good shit boys 👍
Modifying the k frame like that would it interfear with the engineering side of things?
Sweet. I have an EF ib the shed, Maybe this sort of thing is the way to go. I want mine street though.
Question, did you replace the headgasket? Or leave it alone.. if so, why? Great content, cheers. 😊
stock ring gap not an issue at 500kw?
Great work guys :)
Maxx Performance, what do you think about this type of motor a bf gassy pushing 500hp on 98 fuel? Thoughts?
You should teach old mate next door how to weld and prep an engine bay lol
Where can I get the sz territory mount? Ford parts had no idea they couldn’t even give me a catalogue number for it, unavailable is all I was told. Presumably petrol SZ TERRITORY?
So is that a crg t4 pro mode style manifold? As I thought the s372sxe only comes in t4 ?
have you got a link for the the intercooler you bought from ebay
gem overload

Lookn sick boys 👌👌
Nice work lads. Audio was heaps better too.
Awesome work, just to clarify with the rack it's just a matter if pulling it apart and taking the seals out to make it manual?
Phill Bundy no, need to do more than that. The valve body has a torsion bar in it that needs to be welded solid otherwise it will be sloppy
Weld the quill loop the lines
I'll be building one of these soon
Do you guys do Barra swaps for customers and how much just for NA Barra into a AU falcon
yes we can message our facebook page and we can discuss it further
@@maxxperformance1613 oh bugger I'm not on Facebook I hate it
Why for did you manualise the stearing? Was it due to the turbo location where the power steering usualy sit.

Was this a lpg motor?
Music source plug?
Twin gate pro mod manifold on a budget build.
So what is the actual Budget?
10s for 10k
Or 9s for 5k
So far working out the cost its
$800 for the Car
$400 for the Motor
$700 for the Auto
$200 intercooler
$550 in exhaust materials
$200 intercooler piping materials
$300 for loom and wiring
$250 for ecu
$100 for engine bay paint
$150 Ford pedal
$200 P/S and A/C delete
$950 Headstuds and valve springs
$850 allowed for a future proof fuel system
$600 1000cc fuel injectors
$1900 Borg warner SXE372
$160 New Radiator
$1000 allowed for plenum
$300 for hoses,bolts,misc
$250 for transcooler
Just under 10K at the moment we could probably reduce the intake to $150 for a factory BA-BF plenum and if we didnt use the $2600 worth of turbo manifold and gates we already had we could probably save another $2,000 all up but if we future proofed some items and the car proves to be as fun as we hope cause thats what this is all about having fun.
Can you make the power steering rack manual on a Fg mk2 and delete the power steering?
We havent looked into that yet but being a heavier car it would probably make it a pain to steer
Maxx Performance let you know in a couple weeks. Buying a separate rack and going to try it out
Be better to go with an electric rack from the territory or an astra power steering pump?
Low760 wouldn’t have a clue where to begin with those lol
Is that the dedicated lpg motor?
Yeah, got my answer from episode 2.
I would love to see how far you can push an fg NA motor. I seen reports of 500 rwkw with the usual supporting mods.
FG lpg will do 540rwkw with cams, springs, studs and oil pump gears. Pump gears are more if an issue if bouncing of the limiter. The lpg gas has stronger rods and 11.1:1 compression.

Got a Part number for that AC Delete Bracket? the only ones i can find are claimed to suit (EF EL AU HX)
Budget Why call it that will you build one for me for the same price?Best Mate and a magic box.cheers.Adam
Hey guys can we upgrade turbo i fg ecolpi
soo sick
Does the odo still work?
Good question! We will address this in following episodes :)
Why would this one work? None of them did... 😂
Really should have welded the valve body on that steering rack before putting it back together to stop that small amount of free play they have, and I always slot the piston as well
What size turbo was that please guys? Borgy S372? Is that right?
Sxe372 yes mate :)
Are you going to run it as LPG or petrol and does that gray paint have a colour name or number please, thanks. Seeya Rob
Hey mate, We will be running it on pump E85 fuel. The color is machinery gray and looks ok!
I want to build one of these to
Oi can you put a Barra in a XH for me?
When will we see her at Calder?
As soon as we can get it finished! And when they re open the track
Y manualise the P/S?
Weight and simplistically, was a drag car / weekender.
👌👌👌👌
Run a plasma and ebay intercooler see the difference.Adam
looks shit hot so far
Nice music choice
Said no one ever
sam steeno I’m proof you’re wrong. Rethink.....
Meann.skids now
now i wish i kept me ebII :(
#drEAmkiller
Crap music tho
just an expensive build with a chinese intercooler.. just like 90% of other builds
$800 for a car $700 for a built auto and $400 thats a cheap start we could always do somethings cheaper but we may go further with this car depending on the result.
