I’ve honestly enjoyed every minute of this show! Thanks to all the boys for putting this together 🤙🏽
I agree! This series has been alot of fun to watch recently. Obviously we don't get these cars in the US, so it's cool to see another continent's take on budget builds.
so $2k challenge out the window because of "donations" has turned into who has more mates with performance bits to loan rather than a genuine $2k challenge
Nick Turner yep. The vt especially is waaaay over 2k
yeah like free clutch, free torque converter there's pretty much your $2k's right there haha
Yeah. It's a bit disappointing. Budget was blown a long time ago. I was hoping for a genuine challenge "with reciepts". Maybe some firmer rules with no donations etc.
Yeh, they spent 2k in pizzas the dossers.
That's cool and all.
But there's no much more on offer to learn from the way they did it.
Made me smile that figure you got for the AU!
Wonder how many runs it took
“Wouldn’t even give me his address.. meeting him somewhere to pick it up” - Nek minit cops confiscate your gear
wombatau haven't seen a nek minit reference for a while now.. I guess it just became part of Aussie slang over time. 😂
@@ceke Yeah, stolen from NZ like all great things lol
STOWLN FOR SURE
Bill shorten 2k budget
Even he wouldn't blow it out like Buba 😂😂
Torn between admiration for Bubba's gall at getting so much free stuff/help and annoyance because he is doing that.
I'm sorry but was that the 2k or 10k challenge.
Each team got $2,000
@@STREETMACHINETV Only referring to the Holden guys.
so the holden blokes must have called a lot of favours yo get what they got done for 2k
Yes a bit doubtful there, it cost $3000 to rebuild an auto, so how did that work?
@@jeffsewell412 Didn't you see Bubba's face glazed like a Krispy Kreme donut after the rebuild? 😂🤣
With 100% Cletus approved Tractor Flap.
hell yeah brother ....do it for dale
mind you i think roadkill and mcm might disagree on who started the hater pipe idea
Roadkill started the pipe, Cleetus added the tractor flap.
25 bald eagles added as a result 😂👌
Cleetus is a cockhead.
as an Australian I've been waiting years for mighty car mods to do something like holden vs ford on a budget but they never did. so here's street machine doing a beautiful job! love your work fellas. nice editing and commentary. love it
Mighty car mods are lame I think
I love the AU, true budget build. Amazing achievement Scotty
True budget? Most hi-po cars spend 2k on dyno time
@@simonbull6415 they did say in episode 1 that dyno time is not Included in the 2 grand budget. With all the 2nd hand parts and him staying true to doing it as cheap as possible, 350kw is an awesome effort
Brilliant,i say!
Your bonnet 'modification' get my thumbs up Scotty! We won't talk about the Vaseline...
That AU Falcon actually sounds really good :O
This is the NEW "Roadkill" . Similar format, grass roots racing and banter, just free on You Tube. Thanks Scotty, Simon and crew.
Roadkill was free on youtube too, right?!
@@tonyhitch5799 it was, until Discovery took over.
Awesome work boys! Keep it up.
Up the mighty AU!! Whooo
Dammit, next episode. 🤬🤬🤬 I wanna see Bubba get whipped NOW Scotty!! 🤣😂
Not to mention thanks to you, AU's have now quadrupled in value the past three weeks. 🤷
Yeah sorry about that!
@@STREETMACHINETV Well I did see an AU Tradesman for $300 a few weeks back before the Veloster coilpacks crapped themselves (joys of experimenting with E85) and spent $500 fixing that, now the cheapest AU's are $1200 and BA's are cheaper! 🤦😂🤣
Don't worry, Scotty will find a way to crash it at some point. Maybe you could pick it up cheap from the wreckers then. By the way, there's still lots of cheap AU's- they are a POS after all. Not everyone selling an AU has seen this series. The real bargin was the V8 Calais anyway. Anything that's being done to the AU can be done to the VT- only with a better out come. Those Holden 5.0's only have 8.5:1 comp. Perfect for turboing
Yeah, now they’re worth $50. 😂
@@s_p_onarge8720 😅😅😅
the sound of the holden 😍
With the amount of $$$$ over budget the VT is, it will be towing a trailer full of lead as per the rules of $$$ over budget = extra weight added.
Hey. You want to be cheap. Go with a Ford. You won't to be just a bit less cheap. Go with Holden. It's some Aussie considered to be classy. Lol
The AU was easily the best all round car ever designed and manufactured in Australia. The things went for ever
I think the Au has this in the bag with nilly 1000nm of torque pretty impressive
Loving the show, but maybe you should do one of these again and do an actual 2k challenge.
All it would be is headers and a tune lol
Ripper series this one, Carnage Team :) Rock on!!
Just don't take forever to get the next episode out to us. Rock on
Loved this episode! I was surprised how much power the 5 litre produced without the nitrous, with only a different cam, carb and reco heads. The old ford is going great too! Good power figures with only a small FG turbo. I have also used Tranzco and Hallam Performance, both great places for performance work
$2000? You'd be pushing to get a gearbox rebuilt for that alone!
Connections mate 👌😂
Just want to thank you guys at Street Machine great series and as a fan need to buy more magazines.!
Totally worth the wait 👍 thanks lads. What a good half hour of Hoon goodness.
This has been a blast to watch but I have to say the commodore HAS HAD MORE THEN $2000 spent on it.
What do you care. You are a hulk if not the Hulk. You alone have spent more then 2 billion dollars on steroids in today's money. And you bitching about some dudes cheating in a fun only "competition"? Get out of here.
Sheng Han Move along Keyboard warrior, Jesus Christ’s everyone has to be a hero...
$$$ over budget = extra weight added.
The only thing I look forward to on youtube. Love this build I've let all my friends know about it. Want to get as many views as possible so we can get more budget builds. Love your work!
Scotty can you make more series like these? There just something unlike what everyone else does.... even more like your v6 vengeance project... that thing sparked my interest in cars
Oh yeah, I've been waiting for this! Btw, I live in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and I was outside working on my 600 whp Civic and I had a big ass frog jump on my leg. I took him in the house and the boys have him swimming around in the bathtub. My oldest son said that he feels like a pickle, so they named him Pickle Rick...lmfao
We released him back into the wild...lmfao
@@Brock_Landers should of chucked him on the Barbie mate
for real though, AUs are actually incredible performance for value right now.
won't get many runs out of it before it goes bang at that power level tho haha
If you chucked some ARP studs and got it balanced while you where there it would be good bang for buck
AU's doing incredible things
I'll happily purchase the V8 stuff for 2k to cover your costs, since it's probably more like 10k worth of parts
Hurry up and race these babies I've been waiting for weeks haha. Good stuff fellas
I think the AU will take trap speed and MAYBE time, but the VT will take the 60ft all day.
AU has a power advantage, HUGE torque advantage but will struggle to get it off the line and that's what will kill the time.
but will the VT tow a trailer overloaded with with 3 tonnes of junk, a 5 meter fence on the roof and 2x4s hanging out the windows? That's what I thought.
If you watch the vt dyno, you can see that the vt makes over 1000nm so the vt has a torque advantage over the au
Just remember, 6 cylinder vs v8 . Turbo vs NOS.
The holden will absolutely ruin the AU's butthole because 3rd gear is going to give up 0.0002ms after the first hard 2-3 shift.
They would have been much better off with a BTR, but at least it'll be entertaining.
How far can the VT go on a bottle to make that power? Not far.. AU aaalllllllllll day, VT all 3mins
Love this so much. Now i know what to do to my AU to get some power. Thanks guys
tbh first time i watched anything aussie made like this. lovin it guys. well done!
Great series, would be willing two donate a couple of dollars too see more/longer versions of these. Really rare stuff love it boys
i love it how the ford au just fwired up strait away and the vt didnt even start up lol true ford power
GO THE MIGHTY AU !!!!
Was keen as when this popped up on my notifications keep up the great work guys
Throughly enjoying this series! Couple bogans in the shed 😂 Keep up the good work lads!
Go the mighty AU nice numbers on the Dyno guys
Love the Chinese safety boots, been an awsome series to watch so far, cant wait to see the next episode
Enjoying the videos but with real cost of parts and labour it would be close to 10k budget 👍
The Holden boys are such good sports and mates. I love it ❤️
Beast60 thanx brother that’s what this is all about
BUBBA medlyn love you bro! Keep up the good work haha. End of the day it’ll always been ford and Holden.
Worth all the wait. 🤙🤙🤙
Now hurry up and upload the next one already.
Great episode fellas.i would be excited to watch you guys in the future do a best of 3 matches, throw another 2k on each challenge.make the vt and the au the very best they can get for the final showdown race
awesome vid guys! was a spin out seeing trevor at tranzco pretty much built my whole car knows his stuff
Nice job boys!! The vt sounds awesome!!
This would be a great series...it it was really about what could be done with $2K
BEST EPISODE TO DATE!
just comes together well, with a bit of fab work, bit of fun, few tech tips and some dyno and fire up clips all make for the perfect video.
good to see no cardboard boxes were opened in this ep(other than the pizza = acceptable)
I can’t understand why there are not heaps subs for this channel
It’s brilliant
Didn’t skip a second! Awesome series 👌🏼
Brilliant Aussie TV - love it
Absolutely fantastic show its become old school power by Bubba against new tech by Scotty.
Absolutely love this series keep it up boys
YTFB!! Finally been waiting for pt 3
Add in all the free stuff and labour your spend bill would 9k each really not a 2k challenge the every bloke does not have access to all help your getting
I hear that but so what?
Not everyone has access to a decked out workshop with 2 hoists either. It's besides the point.
9k, are you kidding me? 😂
Yep, that has gone out of the window.
@@spiritlevelstudios a workshop with hoists and stuff make all the fucking difference. Imagine you can shrink every down and pick them up like toys.
Hey I love what's going on learn a heap and all that bur come on free nitros stuff free tranny rebuild free dyno tuning free auto sparky working the au let's see an honest cost sheet
Great video Scotty and crew, have fun trying to launch the au with over 900nm cheese cutters and a manual box, can't wait for the smoke show.
He's just gonna have to send it
Great power out of the 5.0 but I suppose when you have about 4k worth of parts under the bonnet it will get you some grunt
THIS IS CARNAGE and i love it.
Sick! The VT actually sounds pretty good
I think they missed a zero on the budget for these builds!!
Besides the tuning/dyno the au would be far off.
YES IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS 😃😃😃😃😃 GO HOLDEN
Great video and really looking forward to the next one. I do wish you had avoided cutting the bonnets, keep them street presentable.
Great episodes though I would actually love to see a real $$$ challenge that didn't involve plenty of hand outs or "dodgy" deals lol like even if it's a 10k challenge or something. Best series yet
Definitely more then 2ks worth of parts for both cars lol
Amazing! Loved the episode!!
3:50. I like the way you file stuff. That's the way to go.
Love the Sloppy exaust dump. Nice Scotty!
12:23 "GONNA BLOW IT UHH, I MEAN PUT IT ON THE DYNO. LOVE IT BOYS KEEP IT UP
I love this series I cant wait to see the final episode a d next seasons builds
Best Episode EVER!!!
Is Zane, Mechanical Stig's long lost twin brother or what?
Loved every second
Good stuff. Keep it up!
Did the the Holden guys have a 20k budget with favors on tap? Obviously both have spent over 2k. Getting a bit ridiculous now. Should have been some more firm rules. What about the reciepts etc mentioned at the start. Will we get to see a run down of the cost? Should have just made it a 2k challenge with no mates rates and no access to hoards of workers and donations.
$$$ over budget = extra weight added.
Great work, thank you for shearing
Can't wait for the next episode
love the vids, keep it up
Looking forward to next episode im keen to see it now
The holden has no excuses now
Good series! And go team Scotty.
Whoa that nitros was pretty awesome. Bit dangerous lol.
I hate it when a 2k build triples lol
What you expected a perfect hole THIS IS CARNAGE 🔓
The Aussie Ford 6. What a gem.
good to see a mad beavertail tow rig ...thats all i build and run ...beavertail for life
Kingatow Crew
Love your channel mate 👍
@@gordiedrift thanks mate we have a new build starting live every Saturday at 10 would be good to have you along for the ride
Awesome stuff guys. Can't wait for the BIG CHALLENGE!!! Who's going to win FORD or HOLDEN? the power and torque figures are pretty close.
When you think they know a lot about cars then you see they drive a navara
Daddy Baby such a Shit heap but it was cheap
Any chance of a rundown on the Barra ECU install?
we'll be doing a vid on that soon.
Love this stuff man this makes me want to turbo a sohc so bad 😂😂
This stuff is awesome
I loved the tapping a thread with an impact driver.
It actually works really well
Massive inspirations guys
Awesome episode! More of the building, less of the unboxing please 😁
been waiting for this day
Sweet being hanging for more content hahaha
AU+ turbo+ flapper exhaust= Scotty's on a winning formula.
Edit; Jeezus, look at that torque on the first run after the new clutch!
Looking good guys
