- Elkhart Lake Police attempted to stop a vehicle near Lincoln Street and Chicago Street in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin on Sunday, July 11, 2021. Stop sticks were successfully deployed on Highway 23 before the pursuit ended in Sheboygan Falls with the arrest of the driver. For more videos and photos, visit / incidentresponse .

Ikr, he was probably amazed that he didn't lose the officer in the first quarter mile. Those were some professional evasion tactics too, that officer was just in another lvl we can't comprehend.

I love how people tried to assist the officer in stopping the vehicle, kudos to them!
It's actually quite dangerous for them, because they could easily be charged for causing harm to someone, because they are not qualified to assist the police!
@@daveyjones369 No one will be charged because they helped the police stop a fleeing felon. Back when police were first invented, citizens were required to come to the aid of an officer and failing to do so was an offense unto itself. Hue and cry, followed by the issue of whistles were how officers called for help. I personally wouldn't put my property at risk, but mad respect to the driver of the black car.

A vast amount of Wisconsinites are setting records daily for the worst drivers in the lower 48.
That's sad that the officer that failed trying to pit doesn't... but the 2nd officer that DID successfully stop the chase gets some scratches on his squad & you can hear him say "I'm gonna get in trouble for that" ... that's sad that he even had to think that might happen. He successfully stopped it & the damage was low speed & minor... I hope he's told don't worry about it, you did good.

Yes long boring and slow... but if you're going to do that why not just pull over? Evading police is evading police even at low speed.

I lived on Little Elkhart lake in the early 80s and worked at Road America. During the early part of the chase I was just enjoying seeing those scenic roads again. They went right by the road I lived on.
Well, that was a pleasant, leisurely, Sunday afternoon drive.
If nothing else, we all LOVE a good 'Stop Stick' hit...... Well Done Officers 👍

depends on the age and damage, a little fender work and the one that did the pit will be back on the road because it's a 2021. if it was an older explorer or CVPI it probably wouldve been replaced.
How many miles this guy could have been taking out with a PIT! One that actually would work! These idiots that tries this crap should be in jail a long time,, but I’m sure he was out as fast as he went in
What gets me is the guy actually used his turn signals.
Where’s the dashcam from the second police vehicle? We missed seeing the best part of the chase, the ending was just a bunch of cops on a country road and beautiful evening scenery in the background. lol
it amuses me to no end when cars being chased signal their turns and/or lane changes.
Don't want to get any extra tickets while running from the police. I wish that after a chase ends, the police go back and look at the dashcam and write an individual ticket for every single violation.
4 out of 5 student drivers could of nailed that first pit attempt. 😅 And the failure to use turn signal charges is the least of your worries buddy...

NGL, that Taurus was in pretty good condition. It wasn't until the rear tire went flat and the car started "squatting" that it looked like all the blown-strut Tauruses (Taurii?) in CT.
Doofuses were standing in the way when the pursuit-car wanted to leave.

Hey . at lease the driver is using their signals while changing lanes or turning at times and slowed dow afew times in the beginning for stop signs. But hey , if you run for the law enforcement , it just gets worse.

I'm surprised a dept as small as elkhart lake has policy that allows pursuit. (assuming the officer was following policy)

EVERY SINGLE DEPARTMENT in America has a formal policy on pursuits. Their insurance mandates it.
For the most part, a safe driver, just stupid. As to the PIT maneuver, poorly done by officer.
The driver has 8 different jobs and he's needed at work... he should have thought about that before he took off. Be a lot simpler, cheaper, safer to just pull over and see what the officer wanted. That part is unclear... why did they want to stop him in they first place?
Usually you can find the arrest records for these police incidents but nothing is found, no name, just the charges. The unknown driver was arrested for fleeing, and his 4th OWI. Guessing he must have connections for them not to release the POS name

Hey folks and people watching I just wanted to give you a heads up. You see the black SUV with the landscape trailer behind it that pulled in front of the car once the car got around him and then a second time he pulled out in front of him but he went around him real easy that was half ass. Don't get involved unless you're going to be 100% committed to stopping the vehicle, and don't think your insurance is going to cover it, or the police is going to pay for it, cuz it ain't going to happen that's on you so think twice before you pull out in front of somebody to try to help the police during the police pursuit trust me, I learned the hard way

Poor dude was lost in life. He did wrong but I feel for him. Thankfully he wasn't a violent criminal. I hope he finds his place in the world and becomes a productive citizen. God Bless.
Most Polite runner ever.. 45mph in a 65 area, turn signals.. What more could you ask for?? Now the other hand, the Cop.. Needs some Arkansas state patrol training, ASP would have had the Runner waking up 6 months from now.. They put people in a coffin for 75mph in a 65mph zone..
