You just witnessed a chase that covered 24 miles, involved 121 of the City of Milwaukee's squad cars, and woke up an estimated 740,302 residents in the middle of the night, only stopping when the engine finally gave out of the driver.
hahahahahahahahah omgod so true. waste of resources, i promise anyone reading this 5 squad cars would have been equally, if not, more effective in subduance. has to be a "show of force" type ordeal or they were all just bored and joined the chase.
First time in history the officer was so bored with a pursuit, he asked if he still needed to be on it. 🤣🤣 I bet that 4 runner will still go for 4-5k on market place.
If the frame is rot-free, it could sell for $6-8k in CT. Looks like an SR5. Got a dealership near me that specializes in 2nd-Gen 4Runners, a lovingly-restored one with almost 300k miles sells for $10-12k.
That assumes you're in any state to actually *notice* a dozen patrol cars queued up behind you. Edit: Original call was shots fired, and the 4Runner matched an/the involved vehicle. Which explains the convoy. And the reluctance to authorize a PIT on the pursuit commander's part (edit: at least initially). And the car was stolen as well. Still, doesn't actually mean the two perps *weren't* drunk as two skunks in addition to being Felony St00pid.
What a waste of manpower! 20 or so cops chasing a car going 10 to 15 MPH. Three of four should have been enough to bring them into custody. Who is left to guard the community?
Unbelievable....all that law enforcement could not figure out how to enclose around that car after he was pitted ???? And how many cop cars does it take yo chase one car. At one point i counted TEN. All those cars and how many times did he get away ??
So here's my take on this.. ..first off, thank you for sharing this video and all the other content...this does rival many TV broadcasts, especially since a select few caved to the media and won't air programs now depicting the good and brave actions of our law enforcement, hopefully that will change. When a vehicle is going as slow as it was in the beginning, why wasn't the many, many vehicles not brought up to box the subject's vehicle in? This could be viewed as a diversion tactic as well so the quicker the vehicle is stopped, the sooner the remaining officers can resume coverage in their patrol zone. At the overpass around the 17 min mark, why didn't 2 more vehicles move in on the left to completely block the suspect? With that being said, thank you for the content and continuing the video up to and including apprehension.
@@tandyallen8498 Hey Tandy, when COPS hear that shots have been fired, and a suspect is fleeing....what do you think they will do? Go home and watch TV? At the 17 min mark, when they were all huddled in close proximity around the suspect, did you think they still weren't aware of the "shots fired". They had multiple opportunities to pit that SUV, and while they were in a slow pursuit, one of the Tahoe's could have pushed the suspect's vehicle into the ditch. The fact the SUV was able to get away and zip through the neighborhood with both front wheels flopping around was ridiculous. Looked like nobody wanted to scratch their patrol vehicle. Yes, I get the fact there is protocols, but many missed opportunities. So to answer your question, I'm not going to drive alongside as a civilian. As a LEO, I'm going to push that SUV off the road and keep it from endangering the public.
I am from this neighborhood and it's actually pretty smart of them. They should have pitted him at the start, but if they pitted him and he crashed into a house or family or school or anything it would've been bad news. I understand this probs took place in the middle of the night but you never know what could happen. This took place in the North Shore of Milwaukee where a lot of high middle class families live. I literally went to that elementary/middle school at the start of the video he drove by.
A bad waste of time and resources on the tax payers dime... I am sure there other high crime areas that could have been patrolled instead of miles long 20mph chase
Also...HIGH SPEED my ass...and if they are worried about him/her having a gun....then WHY did they (cops) surround the vehicle several times??????????????
Is this really a joke? This could have been over a long time ago. Why are they wasting resources on these people? They don’t need that many officers involved.
You got to be kidding me, thirty plus freaking police vehicles, multiple pit maneuvers and still unable to keep a small SUV blocked in from escaping. I realize the gun range is necessary to meet qualification requirements but repetitive pursuit driving training should be a requirement as well, especially after seeing this.
Here in South Africa where im watching this from cops would not waste a single moment. They would go right up to the vehicle, smash the f window and rip him out just as quickly as what the vegicle stopped
As a reminder for everyone screaming that they need to PIT the car: The PIT Maneuver is LETHAL FORCE. Using that maneuver is the same as pulling a gun and dropping the suspect. Even at low speeds. Boxing in the subject may also cause em to panic and suddenly go speeding off, making the pursuit a lot worse. Remember, you're only seeing from a civilian's point of view, not the view of the cops, both in terms of safety, but legal ramifications as well. Considering how often cops are getting thrown under the bus, it's easier for em to just let the chase sputter out on its own if the subject is being stupid, but not actively risking everyone's life.
You couldn't be more wrong. That only applies to when the car is moving at a rate of 70 or 80 at 15 miles an hour give me a fucking break home boy that's ridiculous
@@milesonewheelwinter Have you worn a badge? Have you undergone Use Of Force training as mandated by WI State and US Federal law? There's a lot of either willful or simple ignorance there in that statement of yours. Even a low speed PIT, which by the way, under eyes of law is considered a form of vehicular assault if done intentionally, can cause an accidental flip. Especially so as an SUV, with its higher center of gravity can easily flip over due to stupid happening. I suggest you spend some time not only understanding Use Of Force, but also vehicle physics and accident rates of SUVs at low speeds. Rollovers are one of the biggest factors with those vehicles. Every cop I've ever had the pleasure, or displeasure in some cases, of working with, treats any PIT action as a last resort due to training and mandates under law.
The only thing if all of the officers would do would drive thar suspect away from residential area and get into the highway which might have delays of traffic but hey it's at night time.
Ummm, apparently Milwaukee officers were really bored that night. I mean, how many cops does it take to take down a vehicle, even an armed one? This was ludicrous and comical at the same time.
I really don't understand why more cops and departments don't use the rolling block Or the boxing and techniques instead of using a pit for their only option.. At those speeds they could have easily boxed them in and stopped the vehicle in the 1st 10 minutes or less
How much fuel and labor hours did this cost? Safety is one thing. But this appears to be a couple to many LEO/Interceptors than needed. However, at least there is a Ton of Training footage available 🤣

Yes I admire and respect law enforcement but that one could have been shortened. Watch Arkansas state trooper chases.
Those aren't all Milwaukee cops though. Pretty sure some are Bayside, Brown Deer, Fox Point, River Hills and Glendale as well🤣🤣🤣🤣
Only police I say should definitely be defunded heavily.
First time in history the officer was so bored with a pursuit, he asked if he still needed to be on it. 🤣🤣 I bet that 4 runner will still go for 4-5k on market place.
Nah, used cars are going for a lot more because of the pandemic so probably 5-7K

Haha Right? That yota had no quit. Some dealer will pick up at auction and flip it for 8k. ‘Looking to get away? We’ve got you covered. Clean carfax.’
Likely just finally ran out of gas.
This was almost comical to watch. The only thing missing was the Benny Hill music playing in the background.
You'd have to dial the speed of the music down to about 50% though...

Thanks for watching.

And shouldn't there have been attack helicopters on this, too?

most agencies have a policy preventing officers from "boxing" in a suspect vehicle
reading in the description *shot fired call* maybe there was one gun in the car?
