But did anyone ever doubt whether her claims were valid? To me it all made sense. Listen these are very wealthy people. I expect this kind of salaciousness & debauchery. It isn’t shocking to me whatsoever. It is sad that she went through all that violence.
But I keep saying, this doesn’t sit well with me. This was all a money grab masquerading as trauma & victimhood. This lady lived a life of having everyone of her needs taken care of for well over a decade. There was ample time to get a hold of her senses & leave as she endured some sick isht. Then she had the cahoonas to leave, only to return demanding 30 mill. I don’t like this mindset at all. This is taking away a woman’s ability to recognise right from wrong. At what point do we hold women accountable!?!?
She stayed for the money. And when she left she had none coming in so she went after more. Her intentions are not genuine. How is the money relieving her trauma? My former partner was emotionally abusive towards the end of our relationship. I still have nightmares about that time. Shall I go & sue him now? Recognise how often Fumni says *I DID NOT CHOOSE* to do certain things. Cassie always had that agency & she must be held accountable for not choosing it.

@@yanikeonpurpose - Cassie was a "dear in headlights" when Sean mislead a situation and took her from the boyfriend that she had at the time. We can always look at things from the perspective that we have as an "elder," or as an outsider looking into the situation, but we don't know what all she was dealing with at the time as an "innocent" young lady thinking she could make music, and that the (new) man who was showing her attention and affection - a big name in the industry like "Diddy" would help her achieve success in the industry. A lot of people get swept up into the magic and machine of it all, and by the time they look up, they've gone so far down a road that they didn't plan, and going back to a "regular life" seems unreasonable, so they stay in what's familiar - even if they are being abused and manipulated like he was doing to Cassie. Thankfully, she had the where-with-all to get out; thankfully, she connected with Alex - who was a God-send, and he nurtured and loved her for real. Sean is a sinister character - people have been letting things out and putting pieces of info out over the years, but you see that there are people who are STILL tip-toeing around him - putting their toe in the water to see if it's safe for them to tell their experience with him. I think, kind of like the Olympic doctor, Weinstein, and Cosby situations, there will be more spillage after this settlement with Cassie, and more accountability is coming for Sean "Puffy, Diddy, No-Love" Combs. He may have to take the route of another of his industry colleagues and go live in a different country. We shall see...

I was abused by my second husband. One day I fought back and almost killed him, and I KNEW I had to get away from him. I did and I do NOT regret getting away from that marriage. We had a beautiful baby girl and God took her back because of the situation I was in. She was too precious to be fathered by a man like him. God bless you, Cassie. I now have a husband who loves and honors me, but I had to work hard to overcome the trauma. I thank God for giving the wisdom and strength..

@evf8974 I hear you loud and clear. Please let me offer this; I survived SA and didn't speak a word until 25 years later. Someone, out of ignorance said to me, if I spoke sooner I would have "saved" others from being abused which is absolutely ludicrous! The shame, blame, stigma and responsibility for others was not mine. It was squarely on the abuser. This was the moral thing for Cassie because she has a responsibility to her healing process, health and well being. It is the morality of Sean Combs that is questionable.
Perhaps he WILL have his day in court. When one -victim- survivor tells her truth, many will usually follow. Cassie is on the path from SA survivor to THRIVER! May we all find a pocket of peace in a world that is unkind.
Apparently at a recent award show he had the nerve to thank Cassie for being there for him through the dark times. He has had a nasty habit of doing things like that, giving her phony shout outs in social media posts, etc. I would imagine hearing about that award show moment was a horrible trigger for her.

I'll just say this: if the allegations *we'ren't* true, wouldn't Diddy have gone the way of Johnny Depp and Jonathan Majors?: to have their day in court, to argue their innocence.
That said, Diddy absolutely did everything spelled out in that 30-page complaint! Notice that Cassie was not required to release a post-settlement statement downplaying any of it, nor apologizing for any of the allegations mentioned in the complaint. Also, notice that Diddy's post-settlement statement mentioned nothing disparaging about Cassie, nor alleged that she lied, nor alleged that it was all make believe. As they say in law school: look at the facts and circumstances.
Further, attorneys can be disbarred (which means lose their law license and ability to work as a lawyer) if they file false statements with the court and acitvely assist a client with presenting false evidence or false testimony to the court.
Cassie hired the same attorney (Douglas Wigdor) that took down Harvey Weinstein. Wigdor also represented the SA victim in a civil suit against the chief of the International Monetary Fund. In a nutshell, Cassie had the receipts and hired the best lawyer in the world for this type of case to represent her!
Disappointed about the case being settled? Understand that this was above and beyond Diddy. ALL those GOVERNMENT agencies (including police), international hotel brands, the record labels (including Sony), doctors and hospital workers, security, and all the people who Diddy paid to turn a blind eye by taking his pay-offs over the DECADES probably applied MASSIVE pressure and told Diddy that if he didn’t settle, it would be his life. The truth would have taken down - like dominoes - people above and beyond even Diddy's influence, social strata, and pay grade! Naturally, Diddy settled.
Cassie is sooo brave and liberated soooo many women when she filed this suit against Diddy. In one act, she 1) got justice for herself; 2) took back her power; 3) provided a playbook for prosecutors to bring criminal charges against Diddy (that 30-page complaint is the paper trail of all paper trails!), and 4) provided a playbook for all of Diddy's victims (to file similar, civil court cases) that I am sure will be coming out soon, such as Danity Kane.
I fail to see how playing innocent in court is proof of innocence. As you mentioned before, the truth would have won in the end due to so many people not having the ability to withstand the exposure and consequences. I still think JM is guilty because bm always expect their bm pathology to be accommodate. They think disrespecting women is cool and he messed up choosing a ww.

I believe Cassie. I was raped by my “friend’s” brother. When her brother attacked me, the sister also dragged me along and pushed me to her brother to rape me at their house. I was only 16 years old and couldn’t tell anyone. Her brother was older and she was my schoolmate. I didn’t talk about it until I was a decade later. It’s hard to tell when you are afraid and shocked.
Almost happened to me at a younger age too. My friend from school said i should visit,but when i turned up she wasn't around but her big brother was around. He tried to rape me but i don't know how i got the strength to break away and ran away

Diddy has a reputation since the 1990s. I’m surprised it’s just coming up en mass now. Kim Porter and Misa Hylton were his first well known victims. The bodyguard was all over the internet doing interviews about his behaviour. Caresha is the new victim it’s more than the golden showers that’s happening. Cassie’s story is their story. This is exactly what I thought, but this is how narcissists think - one rule for them/theirs, another rule for everyone else. I have met people just like him in real life. My sis had the voice of Whitney and we were always compared to the Jackson’s because we had more then just musical talent’s. We also talented in business and 🖼️ arts and dancings and building and many many things God Blessed us with. I was Talented in Fashion and could make a dress or any out fit from and idea in my head. I made scrubs for my mom and quilts and many outfits for some HS students and they paid me for it too. But, I remember My older sister couldn’t stand up for herself because she wanted to be famous so bad. She stood up to other kids at school and would protect me from bully’s but sometimes I would be quicker to run 🏃🏿♀️. So, this famous producer (funny how it’s this dude) told us we would have to sleep with him. I grabbed her hand and we ran down the stairs and I told my mom hurry drive off. It’s crazy because I always knew I’m more then a star. I’m am Gods walking trophy 🏆 for HIS KINGDOM. I NEVER WANTED FAME AND STILL DONT BUT GOD SAID IT WILL HAPPEN BUT NOT LIKE MANY THINK IT WILL. Im so glad you spoke about her youth and inexperience. I also had exposure to that world, and as an artist myself, the '10 album' deal would never have flown with anyone with experience. No unknown, untested artist would ever be offered such and most would not take it if they were for many reasons. He conned her from the beginning with his only interest being dating her. He didn't even give her 10 songs let alone 10 albums! That alone speaks to his level of conniving control and manipulation. He will not come back from this one. My therapy started when I started to talk about what I went through. Even after I got married, what I went through stayed in my head and almost ruined my life but my husband, just like Cassie’s husband, hold my hands and encouraged me to tell it as it was. I saw different therapists to assist with my healing journey m. This is so triggering. I am so proud of her for filing. She got her power back.

Trauma is one of those things you just can't really explain to someone. It is a journey in it's own right, one that you have to come to terms with and accept.
Even among abuse victims, no journey is the same as no experience is identical and it's mostly pain that occurs internally. It's mostly lonely even if you have alot of support. It's not always dark though. Your understanding of healing grows in the same way as everything else in life does. You learn to appreciate the ups and downs, to listen to the triggers to guide you where you need healing or protection, and to find the courage to rediscover yourself and love yourself unashamedly.
I'm super proud of Cassie and the support she has. May God bless her in her healing journey❤❤

Fumi, I can relate to what you are saying. When I was 25 years old I left my country and came to the U.S. I remember a male family talking to me on the phone for over 2 hours. He said you are 25 but you look 16 and people will offer you drugs and God knows what else. Neva, Neva eva accept it, Neva eva do you here me? I said yes sir. And do you know it came to pass and I told the hairstylist that I was working for to never ever offer me drugs, with a stern voice and face. You know? He never tried that ish with me again. Another time I was with a friend at a bar in Hollywood called The Cat and Fiddle, I was living my best life. Just having a good time. At some point, I felt like there were eyes on me. I just turned around and it was almost like these men were scoping us out. They came up and offered me a drink and I said I'm ok. Anyways they started chatting us up. They heard my accent and wanted to know where I was from blah, blah, blah. Eventually, one of them said to me come with us to a fabulous party in the Hollywood Hills. They wanted me to go and told my trans friend that she was not invited, straight up. I was like, what is this? I said no thank you and turned away from them. These vulture's are always lurking for the vulnerable, When I saw that pic of you and Sean, I was like we could be sisters.

100% AGREE! I was in an abusive relation amd it took me 7 years to realize it was time to get away. Than, it took 7 years more to literally free myself fron the influence of my ex, until one day he bumped into another woman. This girl SAVED ME! And now I am worried for her. It has been very hard fon me and I ma still recovering. Until today there are people who describ my ex as a good person ,a kind soul, just a little bit troubled....I ma the one to blame becouse I decide to start a family with a person I didn't know well and that's a fact but nothing I have done justifies his behavoiour, the beating, the mental abuse. Aniways, after all these years the facts, my kids and the goals i reached are speaking for me.

Reminds me of the country singer Jelly Roll he won best new artist at the country music awards in USA at age 39 which isnt typical he had been in the business awhile he was even associated with hip hop artists back in the day ....switched genres and now older and getting recognition.
In those days men treated woman like property,no respect . Woman at that time did not have many choices. They thought this is how to get up in the game. Now women will speak out. I can imagine the pain those women went through, poor Cassie. Its an allegation that has to be proved. Shes still in pain. I hope shes safe. Shes found someone who loves her,I suppose her being a mother has given her the courage to speak out. I was about 25 when I tried to get into the modeling profession. After the pics were taken… the next step was to… While the photographer was taking the pics, he said that I was going to make a lot of money. That statement was a cue for me to 🏃♀️ and never look back. Money was, is not my idol. I use money to do the necessities, but not to worship. Therefore, I was not impressed with him when he mentioned a lot of money. And I am happy that I did not pursue it. I was about 25, but I looked like I was a teenager. I was very skinny…. When my husband met and marry me I was about 34 going 35. The bones in my waist were out there… I was not starving myself… I ate healthy… in small portions. Yet I looked fabulous… and if you saw me at 35, you may think I was 25… My hubby… thought that he was racking the cradle…
The reason gave the above information is because I knew I would have made it, but Jehovah said, “NO” Now, I am a teacher/counselor… I am happy I listened to my Lord… I am sorry Cassie!

Everything you said is so true. It’s just shocking when one thinks of Cassie as this young, inexperienced teen being shallowed up by a vulture who was almost 2 decades older than her. I believe her story and also admire her strength ‘cause she’s still standing and sane. Many others, like Maia Campbell, were not so lucky and the vultures of the industry chewed them up and broke them completely.

Fumi! I really love that you’re taking the time to give this valuable counsel. While I do not know the details of Cassie’s experience, I remembered being very wary of this when they first got together. And just a note that some of our beautiful daughters aren’t ready to receive support from the people who care about them. In retrospect , they realize how hard friends and families had tried to suggest course corrections, tweaking, whatever the advice was, but due to their natural place as individuals needing to assert their own independence, they reject the counsel. And once again, NOT because they were rebellious or difficult or anything of that nature but by mere virtue of not having as yet gained the wisdom that comes from experience, they unfortunately made these poor choices. I know that Cassie would be a great source of wisdom and credible influence for those who are entering or considering entry to that particular industry.
I have followed and listened to you for so long. You have no idea how many “regular” girls have been through this and don’t say anything because of shame. Thank you for highlighting this “alleged” preparation that even the quietest girl in the most remote areas has been going through for generations!!! This is why I have ALWAYS been afraid of having a girl child because I would honestly end up in jail if she experienced a quarter of what I went through as a kid
