  • “The abuse in our relationship was not just physical, but emotional and manipulative. Darius would “love bomb” me and make me feel like I was the most important woman in the world, only to get extremely distant and cold over a perceived insult to him,” Keke Palmer wrote, per Radar Online.
    Fans are in an uproar online after reports surfaced of legal actions Keke Palmer has taken against her son’s father. The actress alleges Darius Daulton Jackson has been abusive on several occasions throughout their relationship.
    KeKe Palmer Gets Restraining Order Against Baby Daddy After He Broke Into Her Home!
    In an update shared on Nov.10, Radar reports that a Los Angeles judge has granted Keke Palmer a temporary restraining order against Darius Daulton. He must stay 100 yards from Palmer and their infant son. Palmer also has sole custody of Leo “until further notice,” per the outlet. Darius is not allowed visitation. There’s reportedly a December 5 hearing in the books to determine the permanent status of the orders.

    Agree 100%. As a retired Finance Officer I saw it over and over many times, for many years. The same situation. A young, professional woman would apply, and get approved for a mortgage. Most of the time she would be very stressed during the process because she had a fiancé, boyfriend, or partner and they had plans to marry, or co-habitate. Often I would advise them to purchase the home jointly, if they had plans to marry. 4 out of 5 times they would answer:
    1. He won’t qualify because he isn’t working, or has bad credit, or makes much less than I do.
    2. He’s not interested in being in the transaction.
    What ALWAYS struck me about these situations was how intelligent, beautiful, professional young women were wasting their lives on absolute losers. Ironically in every single case these men would show up at closing, acting like they were the ones buying. I could only come to the conclusion that we must be doing something wrong raising our ladies. I still can’t understand it. DON’T MARRY DOWN LADIES.

    • @Barbiette123
      @Barbiette123 7 месяцев назад +34

      It is SO WORRYING! What are we doing to make our girls feel the need to coddle and tolerate these losers?! 😢😢

    • @heysimmone
      @heysimmone 7 месяцев назад

      @@Barbiette123there are people programming our young ladies to lower their standards, saying they'll be lonely cat ladies with no love in their life, and that it will be their fault. The men don't want to rise up so they indoctrinate women to drop down. And they find other women to co-sign on it. Then they also tell them that their standards will keep them lonely for so long that by the time they find a "high quality man" that they will not meet HIS standards because they are too old and something must be wrong with them to be so well put together, yet still alone. It's a no win situation for many of our sisters out here.
      It's all calculated, predatory, mass emotional abuse to control the female gender. Our girls today are paying for the actions of the bra burners of yesterday.
      The women who actually tell these young ladies to hold fast to their standards are severely outnumbered. Women in general sincerely want relationship and companionship and not all of them are desperate and scared to be alone, but when it feels like the entire opposite sex tells you that you must shrink or adjust to get a good relationship, and pockets of your own gender co-sign on it, then you start thinking that you must be wrong for what you want and that your desires are holding you back...and that's when they get you. The patriarchy can be evil on a young lady.

    My friend was in an bad relationship with a narcissistic man whom she shares a child with. When he went to prison, she opened up to me about what she endured during their relationship, but was considering letting him come back home when he got out. I knew she suffered from low self-esteem and I made sure to constantly remind her that she was beautiful, intelligent, hardworking, accomplished, and just an overall good person and taking him back would be a mistake. She struggled because she kept saying she didn't want to hurt him. She ended up making the right decision. He got out of prison and tried to make her life a living hell, but she stood firm, and is thriving today. I'm so proud of her. If you know someone who suffers from low self-esteem, please remind them of their value and self-worth.

      I wonder what it is about her personality and self worth that she would allow this. We think about victims of domestic abuse as ppl who are stuck financially and physically in abusive relationships. Keke could have a bodyguard snap Darius in half. She could change the locks or move with no problem, even leave the country. Idk why she stayed with this man and actively chose to have a baby with him! Keke is an airhead and she can't be as confident as she projects. How long can she keep saying that she doesn't know anything when she has the money and leisure to learn life skills. She didn't know how to act when Trey Songz got aggressive with her. Everyone has to learn to protect themselves, if not who will?

    I'll say it again. Be careful who you marry, and more especially who you have children with. Millenials need to learn that they don't know everything and start listening to those who have credible life experiences they've learned from. Too many are rushing towards parenthood and marriage for the Gram without heeding the warning signs, nevermind trying to get to know themselves thoroughly first before diving into life-binding relationships. Focus on yourself and take your time. Things eventually fall into place when the time and the partner is right.

Usually they then become verbally and physically abusive!! This truly textbook behavior. I feel so bad for KeKe! And of course, it’s not easy dating women above you, SO men, don’t!! Leave us alone!! I need need a man to take care of me, but I need him to match me financially and more.. we will hold each other up forever. It’s thought out here. Also, it’s even sadder because Keke approach this man. 😢😢

STEVE TRIED TO GIVE HER SOME GUIDANCE, but KEKE COULDN'T STOP TALKING DUMB LONG ENOUGH TO LISTEN TO A MAN WILLING TO BE A COVERING (Uncle Steve). As a result of following her own short-sighted ideas, totally discounting Steve's wisdom, she's a single mother having to deal with psycho baby daddy issues until the child becomes 18. Too bad, so sad. This drama could have been totally averted.

Years later with 2 beautiful daughters and channels like this one, I found my voice again, I found my self esteem, I found my confidence and I found the courage to leave and start afresh. • @dumadan7561

      Totally agree with you. I love that you mentioned that it’s not just about money. It includes everything,including exposure, mindset, interests, intellectual capacity, ability to be open to new useful ideas about life. I’m 46 and married for over 14 years to a good man but he is not forward thinking in many ways. I knew it from the onset but others (family and friends) didn’t see it and I couldn’t really put it into words to explain why I was hesitant about getting married to him. Now I feel stuck with a man who is very stoic in his beliefs about everything in life and will not entertain any other ideas. It’s frustrating because I’m the complete opposite. This to me is another example of marrying down. Someone can be educated, good at heart but also be set in their narrow beliefs, possibly due to their upbringing. It’s worse than all the other things really because it’s much more difficult to break away from such people, on the guise of them being a good person otherwise. Convincing yourself to leave such relationships is so difficult and that’s where I’m at.

      Date down and getting married doesn't mean doing it eyes close and ignoring red flags and one instinct. I dated up one man and he make me feel miserable I dated down many guys and only one which is my husband and father to my child he is a blessing. I made sure to ask questions and I check myself how I feel around him if I feel funny in a bad way its a no if I feel good every day and feel secure I stay in dating and I also pray to God to guide me and he did. Loads of woman sadly don't pay attention to what they feel actually they go with the idea. Kiki must have seen the red flags but when on, sadly I know many woman will think its a one time thing or he will change with time. One needs to get knowledge about what is a relationship about and one need to know themselves too and listen to their own spirit talking to them accepting the reality of this relationship is not work or its working. Some woman have good guys and ditched them for bad guys. Sadly because they have bad friends giving them wrong advice or even worse they can't be content being in peace with the good guy but because of greed wanting more they end up with a bad guy. Any man can be horrible any man can be good one needs to be careful

      Dating up or down, this can happen to anyone. Money does not keep the monsters away. Coupling well is a blessing from God, and we have to be willing to wait a long time to see if these partners are worth our time. Even when the connection is strong, give it a few seasons, then double that time before trusting. For me, I waited two+ years to even let him step into my home, but it still happened. So honestly, count yourself blessed if you found good deserving partners. They will hide their true colours for as long as it takes. Do not judge the women that fall prey to these manipulative POS. Be careful how you judge. No one settlers for less, people pick and choose using the best information they have at the time. Give her grace, and she deserves respect for getting out. In her position it’s so easy to give up and hide behind ego, but she chose to walk away. She faced her demons, she’s fighting back. That is what should be the focus.

      @beeiz5656 7 месяцев назад +2

      @@Barbiette123, that’s a great question and honestly the answer all over the place because abusive men/ partners show up in many different ways, here are a few “ NON NEGOTIABLES” when it comes warning signs: 1) as a woman you should always feel safe around your partner, you should not “ walk on eggshells “ so not to tip him in a bad mood, 2) if your partner is aggressive towards you physically or abusive towards you in their words and apologizes or makes you feel like it was your fault that he behaved in that way when he clearly has a choice to always walk away or to choose a different behaviour, THAT IS A BIG WARNING SIGN- nobody can be responsible for another person’s behaviour and he is not wanting to take accountability and therefore he will not change as long as he blames somebody else or something else he is not going to change because he sees the problem is external not internal. 3) remember you are no ones purse or nurse ! you cannot fund his lifestyle and you cannot nurse his emotional wounds, he must show up and contribute the best he can and to know that he must take care of his own healing. Now, aa a partner we can offer love and support, we can choose to contribute a bit more to the relationship financially and choose to be emotionally available to our partners however there are limits that must be set! 4) beware of a partner that wants to isolate you from your family and your friends, have more influence on how you dress and where you go! That is classic controlling and will shrink your identity which is what the abusive person wants! 5). Most important is women must learn to love themselves unconditionally first! When we love ourselves we gravitate towards others who show us value in relationships, self love will help us to know that no other person is worthy destroying ourselves to please and accommodate them. Sadly, most women give more to a relationship than is given in return. They become exhausted and as time passes, maybe children are involved, they think they have invested too much to walk away and start over, that’s when they have lost themselves, but the sound of a woman’s footsteps walking away from a sad loveless abusive relationship is the most powerful sound she will ever hear! I would encourage all women to watch the movie The Color Purple...those strong female characters changed my life.

    YES FUMI!! He forgot himself and I’m so glad he slipped up. She’s been enduring this for longer than we know and he unknowingly forced her hand with the Usher concert incident.

    It’s so beautiful that as grown adults that when parents visit you’re both thrown back into that love and security. You and your husband revert back to being cared for cause you have good parents. ❤❤ I want my children and their spouses to feel this way when I’m around. I want them to both feel that nurturing.

    I just watched video on Feminine universe. In the video, the “girl out of the league” trope was explained. Men who get in relationships with women out of their league, whether through education, money, fame…. The guy quickly or eventually goes from worship to resentment which leads to all types of abuse. She literally just posted the video this week, and Keke’s situation perfectly emulates this. Praying for healing and guidance for all parties involved.

    Thank you Fumi. We need to encourage our ladies to do better. I made a comment on another channel saying that an insecure man will always find a way to try and gain some level of power and control over his woman even if it means DV. Ladies, please learn from Keke, Halle Berry and other female celebrities that date or marry down. It ends badly if a man is insecure of his woman's achievements. A man's ego is more powerful than his love. Please take care of yourselves and level up.

    I feel so sorry that Keke is going through this. I think so many people called this from the beginning with that disgusting tweet of his. You don’t know, what you don’t know until you know!!! And the best teacher is life and experience. First comes compassion and empathy and healing. Then come the lessons- how to break the pattern etc. She’ll get through this. Sending her and Leo so much love ❤

    Thank you AUNTIE FUMI for finally saying this!! Every single time we date down, these men become SUPER RESENTFUL of us and most of them become emotionally abusive to say the least! DO NOT DATE DOWN. I LEARNED MY LESSON!!

      Agreed. Im sure Steve and Mommy Keke were not the only ppl who tried to give her a different perspective. we must heed the knowledge of the elders, even if we don’t agree. Store the knowledge and look for areas in life to apply it. Teachable moment here, Aunty Fumi is right sometimes we have to learn the worst way to grow/mature. It seems like she has learned. God bless her and that beautiful baby.

    If KeKe would have hurt him in self-defense, she would not have went to jail, because she was protecting herself from harm. I agree with you. This man is a narcissist, with a big “N”. I had a past friend who is in the church, who came back into my life decades later. I had not seen him in years. I am single. He took me out for lunch on my birthday, and was so nice to me. He was ‘love bombing’ me. Then one day, the narcissist in him showered up. Long story short, I end up needing therapy after interacting with him for a couple of months. Now, he’s out of my life. I think I will be forever, traumatized from that relationship, but now I am free. Narcissist! Without a doubt. 😂😂😂😂.

    As someone who has worked in DV field for 23 years, it is good to see this support. I don't know why people are surprised. black women experience the most DV in this country. Love Keke down and I hope all the survivors get this support. think "dating down" is not just about money. And most POC have such deep issues with money they get triggered when we say date up. Money is a VERY important aspect but that is just the beginning. A person also needs to be on the same accord physically, mentally, and most importantly spiritually. I dated down and definitely paid for it in my younger days. but never again. I would say don't date down, don't friend down, don't family down. If the vibes are not in harmony move on. The thing about vibes is you have to be in tune with yourself, your needs, and your self worth to be able to pay attention to them.

    Thanks you Fumi, gorgeous as usual. You sound advice also goes for us more mature women who are entering new relationships in our 50's + not just the younger ladies. Like you said, if we tolerate bad behaviour dished out by of our partners (red flags), they will continue because that is who they really are.

    Fumi you are so right, sometimes we women think that we need to marry young and when time passes by we panic. I am thankful I waited. Not all that glitters is gold just because he is fit and handsome does not mean he is perfect... Eeh simple is quality a man with stability and has a plan for his life and his lady then he is refined wine. Girls let's know our value.
    Keke has b nothing but amazing handworking young woman. She let's in the snake in the garden 😮. I feel terrible for her. It's a pity, its really is

I appreciate your maturity and can demonstrate right in front of us how people can evolve and have the confidence to apologize when it is needed. Thank you for seeing our plight in the millennium. I applaud you as a woman, mother, wife, sister, black female and most importantly as a human.
