Turns out it was an Anti-tech locator all along

That variable ammo loader actually makes this ship just space battleship Yamato (even the shell names are the same), the practical embodiment of a solo supership.
All that’s needed is a wave motion gun on the front and you are set-

The Interstellar Imperium mod does have a Yamato start, wave motion gun included.
Old school BB hull but in space, Shock Cannons, Type 3 shells...

But with the Wave Motion Cannon disabled, which is more in line with later Yamato timelines.

The game is essentially free because they don't actually force you to put in a CD key to play, but good on you for supporting them either way.
Yeah, I did try it for a while, before I bought it. Very well damn worth it.
Gotta love those cryo-facilties when your able to get them, my last game I had found one and I thought it was close to 3 terrain worlds in different systems I found so I was like sweet awesome, to only find out each one was just 3 light years out of range to receive those perks.

This is more like the Space Battleship Yamato with its Wave Motion Beam disabled after the conflict.
The modular autoloader system that can switch to energy, kinetic, and HE Flak are the big indicators in addition to a fighter bay.

Oh hey that's one of my favorite ships, love broadsiders.
That ship is my favorite from the whole game and my ideal flagship, Mod it with Armor, Hull, hardened shields, ballistic range, strip all weapons, slap 0 cost PD and that's it, a ship who pushes their fleet to victory and can tank everything while shooting back hard with her 3 types shells main batteries, type 1 do high dmg and emp, type 2 destroy shields and type 3 strip armor and also work as long range AA.
I been trying to copy and adapt their weaponry to create a Yamato Mod, I need the same systems and slap a motion wave gun who obliterates everything but shut downs the ship for a minute or more, i know there's already another Yamato on a ship gallery, but it doesn't feels like a Yamato at all, but this ship does.

That is what I want to hear.
I already played a full campaign with this ship as the Dreadnought Pirate. The ship that appears from the void storms of the warp to hunt merchant vessels. Then later I made and faction in the outer rim and basically when full Great Crusade against everyone.
Tip. If you went with Built-in Armor and Targeting system and add on some maneuvering jets with other perks the ship is basically the peak of the dreadnought. Fast enough to escape all other capitals or swarms of enemy’s(and if you leave the backward facing battery on AI its great to run and suppress),has enough point defense to make missles absolutely useless unless in massive and i mean massive numbers,heavy enough to basically ignore frigates and shrug off light weapons, armed enough to obliterate everything from destroyers to cruisers in 1 to 3 salvos.
The only thing is i wish the thing had some regular HE rounds or something but that is nitpicking.
Hardened Shields might have won him that last fight, but hard to say.

if you want a super ship musashi manufactorum have a lot of them. you even can start with one of them(watatsumi, with 2 very op main guns from the mod fitted to large slots) with re-rolling your starting ships.

the final battle was amazing! i tried the same battle with a shield shunt XVI Onslaught and almost kill it but 4 reaper marked my end

Considering I am 100% sure that ship is supposed to be the Yamato, you couldn't have picked a better ship.
I don't think it's the Yamato considering it lacks the wave motion cannon.
Interstellar Imperium has a bounty ship that is very much the Yamato.

The Yamato had its Wave Motion Cannon disabled after the main conflict, as it was seen in the later series with a huge gun cover at the bow.
The main guns of the Yamato have modular autoloader system that can swap ammunition types. Seeing Gamellian ships get bonked by large caliber kinetic shells is impressive.
Metafalica is the absolute beast and arguably(or not) the best flagship there can be. It's versatile, broadside guns are crazy powerful and you can switch types of ammo you use. The only real drawback at the start is the 120 supplies per month in maintenance, which is somewhat crippling when you start the game. When you install some mods for story points it just becomes broken + skills. It CAN be overwhelmed as any other ship in the game but it's hard to die accidentally or due to flux overload.

literally the only way I play. Personally I add another Phira Cannon Battery to the front and add fighter bays for support.

metafalica, a wonderful and fun ship
Thow an Alpha core into the cryorevival thing and watch that growth grow to madness levels.
Once I realised you were calling it the "Cairo revival facility" I started wondering if that was a mod involving mummies.
Wonder if they will add living ships that you can control or some kind of infestation ship

I think for the large ships to fight against Ziggurat need many AA guns as much as possible.
Because annoying EMP is a nightmare against large ships.
Now we need UAF Super ship solo run :D GO GO GO :D

Heeey if you wanna do it again but cooler you can use SWP(ships and weapons pack) Excelsior that can be unlocked for free start in missions. So you can be 1 frigate army.
I wish I was this good at Starsector.

5:22 I think the Cryorevival Facility was only working at 50% capacity due to the organics demand not being met.

Alas the Ziggurat is impossible to solo unless you have immunity to emp damage or some ship that can overload it like a harbringer.

I'll be honest, the Ziggurat wrecked me my first time, had to call in for reinforcements twice, only during the second time it suddenly exploded. Didn't even get to see what killed the bugger.
