I still remember the first time I met one of their "easy" civilian fleet, they wipe out my battle fleet.
From then on I run from them.

LOVING these. Starsector is a game I've wanted to get into for a while, and while these aren't tutorials it is building my inspiration...
I say do it. The game is cheap enough and I've probably spent more hours in this game than any other, maybe even as much as the next two most playtimes combined (meaning 2000+ hours). At worst, you support a genuinely passionate developer who produces consistently fantastic content, albeit slowly. At best, you'll find something to come back to every 6 months to spend a hundred hours on.
It’s cheap and it’s a good game, I just kinda hopped in and I found the easiest way to make money after like my 7th play through. You’ll get it bro
It's a pretty casual game and easy to get into. You don't really need a tutorial.

A beautiful story. I have loved Starsector for 8 years, but know it isn't terribly good YT content without nice editing, so props in making it really entertaining!!

Nice thing about Pather ships is that some of them (the Brawler which Rarr started with is one, the Cerberus is another, mods add more) have distinctly better ship systems. Case in point: The Brawler normally just has maneuvering jets, whereas the Path refit has Accelerated Ammo Feed, which can double the rate of fire of all weapons on it for five seconds. Of course even without that they all have Safety Overrides on them for free, which is just "go fast and shoot more but take a hit to your range and performance time." It's not for everyone but if it's for you then OHHHHH BOY ARE YOU GONNA HAVE FUN
A pather ship is always a welcome addition to any fleet that follows the hit n' run playstyle. You just have to watch their flux, but you can either maximize their maneuverability with mods, or go enhance their flux dissipation rate.
Dude, we've allbeen dreaming of making a suicidal bombing-themed run with torpedoes and raids, and you're the one who made it for us. Big love and do more of, well, starsector in general.
The moment the Eradicator opened fire for the first time at 3:00 made me need a change of pants.

Only to try and kill me with literal brain damaged built together ships with more leaks than Marvel and its movie trailers.
Calling them terrorists feels like giving them more credit than they're due.
What they really are are the worst kind of purists, too stupid to even fathom the tactical utility of terrorism, or the self-defeating policy of using 'just-a-little' technology to enforce their anti-tech idiocy.

As an FYI you can turn off the flashbang when ships explode in the settings file if it bugs you. Same thing with the static when you open new screens.

search for a line that says "enableShipExplosionWhiteout" and where it says "true" replace it with "false"
do the same with "enableUIStaticNoise"

The more i play Starsector the more i get the feeling that Pathers are on to something. Fiddling with advanced and exotic technology in this setting seems to bring about all sorts of NOPE and DO NOT WANT.

Just returned to Starsector, and those videos just a cherry on top to add to the mood! Keep it up good man!
The real challenge is trying to delete Legio Infernalis from existence. They have 1 system, but loaded up with military defensive structures (including planetary shields) and Alpha AI cores. You have to have like 60k fuel for the whole system and something like 20k marines AND 10k heavy armaments to invade them, though you can just carpet bomb them with 80k fuel.
they are however not immune to going into your config file for Tahlan Shipworks and just turning off Legio Infernalis entirely
In my current save persean league just wiped them out idk why but im not complaining
Please make more of these. This was very entertaining. I played vanilla starsector to its end point but this makes me want to play again with mods.

parting ways with an LP Eradicator was the hardest thing I've done in Starsector, and I've killed Omega sharts.
I've never seen or heard of this game before but I do know that this is in fact the proper way to play.
I backed starsector waaay back when it was called by another name. Cant remember but youll find Out quick. Never Had i thought it would Turn Out so well and still be developed on. Its a good Game to have fun
There's a mod that torpedoes and missiles reload without having to worry about ammo, but takes longer for a reload. Missiles and Sundry is one of my favorites.

Yeah, I did try and tone down the explosions by slapping a fade filter over it but it seems like it wasn't enough, I got a few ideas for the next video though.

Rarr you should try hunting Mess fleet, they're stupidly profitable if you can consistently hunt them down, they drop a lot of loot especially gamma and beta core, after couple of battle you can have about 40 of them and trade them with Tri-tachyon official for 300% the original price.
There is a special mess star system north west of the core systems which has stronger mess fleets but better loot, also Manchester at the North east of the map will lead you to a treasure trove.
Meanwhile bigger smugglers: who knew that arming space jihadist can be so profitable?

Hey Rarr, you should add Graphics Lib to your list. It turns that white flare on ship destruction to a fiery ripple that works much better with the game. That, and a bunch of other little improvements.

Not sure if the ludd path eradicator is in vanilla or not as I have never run into it. It if however, hilariously overgunned for its size. I mean, that one turret is a friggin battleship size weapon mount. Ina 20 something DP cruiser lol.
