@@bloodfith1 Either by doing survey, or I believe remote survey can detect ruins.

This ship somehow manages to be very strong and not realy strong at the same time.
With amount of time effort and God damn cash you would expect something on the Ziggy lvl and you get body positive Onslaught that ate small support fleet.
Ye, my onslaught, or maybe i should call it "brrrrtslaught" at this point, would easily chew right through it. It would flux out a few times tho before that but it can take it.
The burst potential of the inferno cannon out dps’s the Onslaught considerably. This usually comes at the cost of more flux efficient and less powerful secondary armaments for the Infernal machine.

That minefield is pretty crazy though, there isn't anything quite like it unless you have a fleet made solely out of dooms
@@CyberVonCyberus mines are overrated, can kill some poor hound at best or be 1s deistraction for enemy PD at worst.
It is weaker version of low tech fortress minefiled and you can ignore it unless you are one of these NO PD slots min maxers.

Go to your game folder like this:
Fractal Softworks\Starsector\starsector-core\data\config
Open settings.json with notepad++ or other text editor
Search for "altMouseMoveToMassTransfer":false,
and switch to true
"altMouseMoveToMassTransfer":true,
Save file.
Now you hold ALT while simply moving your cursor over on items to drag them to your inventory. Much faster.
There are alternate upgrade options for the doom wagon, can get an improved shield generator, downgrade the big cannon to enable an upscaling on two of the modular weapon mounts plus a few more ordinance points to put stuff in them... and I think you can switch the burn drive out for something else... But maybe you just found the options you went for more suited to your playstyle ^^
Small tip on the infernus
-place all defensive hullmods as possible especially reinforced bulkheads, automated repairs and resistant flux conduits
-crappy accuracy but low flux weapons are the bread and butter of the infernus
-shunt the shields, they are barely useful
-mines are one of the best upgrades
I was hoping Rarr would discover this soon or later based on the last few VOD’s.
This is probably my most favourite starts in modded Starsector.
i love this start. the ship is incredible, and the best part is, it starts out as a hunk of junk. this is going to be good.
I remember using the standard battlewagon as a tanker + salvage rig in my end game fleet. This video makes me want to give the Cathedral start a try.

Ship and Weapon Pack includes a Cathedral start for Nexerelin since 2021.
This is the funnest game I've played in a long time and I haven't even gotten to the mods yet...
One of my favorite things to do. Adding expanded hullmods and similar mods makes it even more enticing. Me like progression/doomships.

I can say for sure there's a dwarven mine in some point of the video... all I'm also gonna say its that is *very explosive* , to say the least.
My current fleet is two metafalica's and a couple of Mora's. Not sure why but i love broadside style ships.
dont think i ever did that start but its one of my favorite battleships if i can get my hands on it during a playthrough.
The ship is great, not super op when fully upgraded but decent enough.
I would recommend starting by getting rid of the d-mods asap.
It comes with a salvage rig I think so it makes a good early game exploration/salvage mission flagship.

Would love to see more ships like the infernal machine. As in more ships you can transform from a shit brick to a death brick. Mod suits, specials, large built in upgraded cannons, ect ect.
FYI there's a utility mod that gives you a report after every ship fight to see how much damage was inflicted by every ship
It really helped me fix my AI-controlled builds - I was deploying fully kitted out Gryphon's at 20 DP per-ship that weren't even in the top 10 damage dealers in any given fight, but I wouldn't have known any of that if not for the Detailed Combat Results mod.
Man... i really can't wait until starsector comes to steam. I want to play it.

theres a free starsector key laying around somewhere in a review in youtube you can check that out and test the game for yourself while you wait for the steam version, its actually worth it and the devs dont mind because its like a free demo

Asking here on the off chance I get a response before my dumb ass figures it out, how is one meant to do the custom start? Is that functionality part of the underworld mod or another mod? I ken the infernal machine is from underworld. But the ability do do custom starts themselves do not appear to be.
Bro, you never consider making a performance guide? Like i have a good PC and increase the ram of the game in the config but still running kinda bad (like 10+ mods)
The game overall struggles with lots of shit on screen. Especially huge amounts of strike craft.
Java isn´t known for being ressource efficient.
@@Manslayer-eo1nh well that's true, in general it runs pretty god in space but go all the way down to 10fps in combat (and i'm a sadic that use a loot of ships lol)

Make sure windows and graphic drivers are up to date. I'm sure you have already, but just wanted to throw it out there. I had a massive performance increase updating windows when I was forced too for another game. (I hate updating for a lot of my modded games on my gaming computer, have had it break so many things that worked before)
Granted I'm not running that many mods. But using UAF as an example, large semibreaves would bring the game to a crawl before the update when it destroyed something. Afterwards I could sling them with no issue. Yes the frames will drop, but it wouldn't be a damn slide show.
Try the guide for changing it over to Java 8 ?
Works well for the post big battle fps tank that usually occurs due to Nexerelin calculations.

You need an alpha first. Without one, it is kinda iffy

tunning this mod myself and HOOOO BOY did i get lucky, 3 freaking nanoforge events that remove Dmods from your ship, for a grand total of 5 removed dmods from the flagship. XD all for free

Please make a mod collection package and upload it to a mod hosting site for the mods you showcase on youtube.
Just makes it easier when there is dozens of mods to install and would be greatly appreciated.

long story short of the ship, it starts off godawful, its got heavy supply and fuel consumption, low speed, and very poor weapons, but as you upgrade it it becomes a proper flagship, with heavy firepower, good durability, long range and decently fast,
the issue is, to upgrade it and repair the d-mods will run you a grand total of over 15 MILLION credits easy, for what the ship becomes and is, it is absolutely REDOCULOUSLY overpriced, but still a fairly dam nice ship fully upgraded, just nowhere near its *price* in worthwhileness
It would shine best with the Derelict Contingent Industry perk, as it uses its D-mods to drastically reduce its logistical footprint and produce a tradeoff benefit for each D-mod.
