I've made tons of jerky and I found that Moores steak marinade marinade overnight and smoked or a dehydrator until dry the best I've done and less work
Yes! It’s sooo good! I will definitely do overnight for sure. I just wanted to show a quick, easy way.. it’s so easy and sooo good!! Thank you so much for wdtvung! Much love!😁❤️🤙
Great video on beef jerky. I make venison jerky in a dehydrator but, wish I had a Pit Boss Vertical smoker to do it in. I will refer back to this when and if I get one. I also have a meat slicer at home. Slice my jerky meat down to about 1/4 inch. Place it in canning jars when it is done. I enjoy watching your videos every week. The jerky looks great!
Nice! Brian is absolutely awesome and we've been throwing tips each others way for some time! I love how this community supports all its members! Also, that jerkey looks 100% perfect! Great cook Brett! Happy Thanksgiving to you and Adam if we don't chat before Thursday... Griddle (and smoke) on!
Love the channel. I have used multiple of ur recipes. However I might have missed it but how much corn starch and water did u use in this one . Thanks and happy Thanksgiving.
Brett!!! Awesome beef jerky! I’ve not tried this but will definitely be on my list of things to do!! So glad y’all got the card and stickers!! Appreciate the HUGE shout out!! I was in shock for a second I’ll have to admit!! This community is by far the best on YT in my opinion and I look forward to seeing many more great cooks from the Waltwins!! (So I can steal the recipe of course 😂) Take care my bearded brothers from gator land!! 🍻🍻
Woot woot!! Heck yes brother! We loved it for sure, and so excited that we got to do the shoutout! You are incredible, and we apologize for such a late response! It has been crazy, and we're trying to get all caught up! :P Thank you as always for the love and support!
That is one thing I have never actually made... my own beef jerky. That will definitely be on my list. What kind of smoke chips? Great stuff man. Smoke on!
Wahoo! Thank you brother! This was actually just the competition blend pellets from Pit Boss! They worked out very well! Much love fam, SMOKE ON INDEED!
Loves your videos You guys are the reason I got the ultimate griddle, sadly Pit Boss is difficult to get in Europe. Next time you need to marinade strips of meat try putting everything in a freezer bag or any food safe plastic bag you can tie off. Then there is much less mess and clean up
Thank you so much fam, we appreciate the love! Thank you so much for the recommendation, we will absolutely do this next time! Take care and GRIDDLE ON!
Beautiful beef strips ! Well done ! I’m actually making ground beef jerky this week ! Cheers Brett! At first I thought something was missing in the video but maybe not !…Lol
Love the versatility of the smoker, great idea, and would save a ton of money as I love me some jerky!!! SMMMMOOOOKKKKIIINNNNNN!!!! (in the voice of the "Mask")
Great video Brett! The beef jerky looked fantastic. You probably know this already but since it's actually cooked and not dehydrated it needs to be refrigerated. I don't want ya'll gettin sick. By the way I made a video the other day of your sweet soy sauce chicken stir fry and it turned out delicious. If you watch it I think you'll get a kick out of some things I say. Anyway great video brother and have a great Thanksgiving 🦃🦃
Yes! In fact, really should have emphasized the idea, this is not for "long-term" jerky, but really quick jerky that would need to be consumed before the meat goes bad. We will definitely have to check out the video fam!
So brett. I've asked you this before but I didn't get an answer. I'm in the market for a smoker. But now I see that you have one of those stand-up chest smokers. I only have a family of five but I cook a lot of meat. What do you suggest. And be completely honest please.. I do a lot of tri-tips and burn ends, and chicken. But I am lost. There's so much on the market these days. This will be my first smoker. Procrastination is my worst enemy
Kris! I am so sorry I didn’t answer when you asked before! I LOVE my vertical! Adam has the Lerado, which he loves, but he is a bit jealous of all the room I have! You’ll be happy either way. But I’d say for all the meat you do, a vertical would be best. Much love Kris! Keep us posted! 😁❤️🤙
I would offer my answer for you to get a pellet smoker, vs a stand up smoker I have both styles, but use my pellet smoker more because it is better, easier and produces better product. The ultimate way to cook meat in my opinion is Sous Vide. I would put mt steak cooked that way against any steakhouse. #SousVideEverything
Came out looking delicious, Brett! I'm a huge jerky head! Idk if you guys have heard of Buccee's but they have some delicious ghost pepper jerky (yes I love my jerky HOT) and man I'd love to replicate it cuz its so darn expensive! Lol. Awesome video as always 😁🙌
Thank you for the video.... it just struck me that you boys are closely related to Jack Black....😅 I dint know if you ever heard that before. I hope I'm the first to I'd this. Thank you!!
OK, a few things I'm taking away from this video. First, your clock on the stove doesn't match the clock on your microwave and it's driving me bats*&t crazy. Next, I need to seriously consider this smoker. I haven't seen one in person but I love the amount of room you seem to have. Last, this fat kid loves him some jerky and this seems to be the PERFECT remedy for my weakness!! Great video Brett!!!
This cook was done in 2 hours - bare in mind - and maybe it wasn’t clear - this is a “quick” jerky cook - so it would need to be consumed within a few days. To cure/prep/cook for sure true jerky would be much longer - not trying to confuse anyone - for sure we mentioned we added water to the pan. Cheers!🔥🔥
@@codyrussow170 oh for sure, we weren’t offended at all, thank you for clarifying! I guess our definition of jerky is maybe not the right call - we did the protocol for simple jerky we’ve seen on major channels - just trying to show a simple quick way here.🤙🤙
Not sure if you missed it. At the 7:34 mark - smoker is at 250, and at the 8:10 mark, pulled it at 2 hours. Typically we are more deliberate with the directions - this was a first attempt and fairly rushed instructions. Cheers.

Frank!!! So good to see you brother! Yes!! We have a cookbook! We are so excited for it!!! Much love to you! 😁❤️🤙
Nice!! Beef jerkey, you can't go wrong.
Right?!? It’s soooo good, and easy! Thank you so much for watching Martin! 😁❤️🤙
I make mine too in the oven. Homemade beef jerky is so much cheaper and better tasting. Nice cook.

OH YES! A meat slicer is the way to go! Thank you so much for watching fam!
Great video. I'm on a Weber Kettle now but I will be getting a smoker or flat top for Christmas. Can't wait.
Woohoo!! Keep us posted on what you get Chris! Much love brother!😁❤️🤙
Love it! I will try it I'm sure can be done on a regular no electrical smoker, I'm correct? Thanks.
Woot woot! For sure, this can be done on either! Much love brother!
Excellent jerky Brett! Definitely perfect for the big games! Cheers 🍻

Thank you so much for watching Dustin! I actually doubled the recipe, so I believe it was 4-5 tbs water and cs… Let us know if that helps 😁❤️🤙
What a great and simple way to make beef jerky!! Great job Brett!
Absolutely brother! For long lasting jerky, we’re going to dehydrate some and see the difference!🔥🔥

The food looks good but I hate the vertical smoker by pit boss always got error codes and had to replace the thermometer
Brother Brett! I am hoping to see these offered on the #Waltwins food truck soon. Please take my money 💵. Looks delicious .
Haha!! Yes!!! We will sell it as a side!😂🤗🤗🤗
On behalf of the Waltwins...they will happily take your money!!!

More like 4-8 hrs, in my opinion. If it's done in 2 hrs, then I will buy that smoker. Sorry Waltwins.
