    How did make gun stabilizer ?

    • @MarcelAdamCG
      @MarcelAdamCG  2 года назад +1

      You need a simple IK Rig, with 3 Bones.
      First, the "Turret Bone" as root bone, put it in the center of the turret ring.
      Second the "Gun Barrel Bone", which is a child of the Turret Bone. It should originate where your gun barrel's vertical drive is located. You have to disable all rotations, except vertical axis, so that the Gun Barrel Bone can only rotate up and down (Bonus: you can also limit the rotation to a certain positiv and negativ degree, to limit the gun's depression.
      And finally third, you need a "Target" IK Bone (this can be Bone inside the Rig, or eg an "Empty" object). For simplicity, i explain it as a third Bone inside the rig. This third Bone has to be child of the root "Gun Barrel Bone", so that it moves and rotates with it. Put that Bone some meters (eg 10 meters) in front of the barrel. Then go to the Bone Solver Tab (in "Pose Mode") and add a "Inverse Kinematics Constraint" to the Gun Barrel Bone. Make the "Target" Bone the Ik Target and set the Chain length to "1". Now you should have a gun stabilizer. If you are unfamiliar with rigging, i recommend you first watching a tutorial about Rigging and IK (Inverse Kinematics).

    Is Eevee already support rigs?

    • @MarcelAdamCG
      @MarcelAdamCG  6 лет назад +1

      Not really. The armature modifier is still disabled. Thats why i had to create the rig by using animation constraints only. You can see it by looking at the antennas. I couldn't get them bending. So they are only moving stiff as a whole.

    How long did it take to render this scene?

    • @MarcelAdamCG
      @MarcelAdamCG  6 лет назад

      Actually i don't really know because i rendered it over night. But because of the volumetric fog it rendered quite slow for eevee. I would say around 1-2 Frames per minute on a gtx 1070.

      @MarcelAdamCG  3 года назад +2

      Oh its you again :D What happened to your last comment? I did not delete it.
      However, for the sake of the slightest chance, that you are not simply trolling, i will grant you an explanation: The tanks armor design has a technology called "Active Defence System" in mind (it's all those tiny sensors around the hull). This active protection allows fewer hull plating, resulting in an overall lighter tank, but still increasing the effective protection.

      @@MarcelAdamCG a good tank doesnt rely on any hills or houses to cover the weak part and can fight on both terrain. Flat terrain and slope terrain. Leopard 2a4,a5,a6 only good at slope terrain cuz the gun depression and good turret armor, but u fight in city map, it cant cuz the hull is weak and u cant peek out of cover , u cant always rely on objects to cover ur hull. Russian tank they just simply peek out of cover eat ur shell and shot u back, only the gun and tiny little lower plate is weak spot on russian tanks, while the rest nato tanks have entire hull is weakspot.
