      You simply can't squeeze into a funk riff like this and NOT express the artistic rush. Body movements don't lie, she's on it!

      BRAVA not Bravo , she is a lady.

    • @ricardosv9702
      @ricardosv9702 4 года назад +4

      'Bravo' is a term with different meaning depending on the situation it is used.
      The first of them is when it is employed as an adjective for he or she, 'bravo' (El = He) and its femenine form 'brava' (Ella = She) are commonly used as synonyms for the adjective 'valiente' (El/Ella = He/She) that means brave e.g. "Ella es brava (valiente)" that translates to English as "She is brave".
      The second situation is when it is used as an adverb to qualify an action, in this occasion the term 'bravo' is describing the performance in a good way implying it was good, great, amazing, excellent, etc.
      Finally, the third case is when we congratulate someone, the term 'bravo' is used as synonym for 'felicidades' (congratulations) or 'aplausos' (applause).
      Conclusion: the comment you were trying to correct, was actually ok since he or she was using 'bravo' in "Bravo performance" as a compliment (adverd; describing her performance) to say she did and excellent performance and not as an adjective (describing her) as you're implying.

      Paul Simard It is true. She had a second facebook page where she posted it with photos of her with Jamiroquai. For some reason, she or someone else took the page down. If we search hard enough, we might still be able to find it on the web.

    This is inspirational to anyone who has ever played bass. Back in 1979 I was in the Jazz scene in Orlando Florida, and fell in with a group of pretty credible musicians (group led by a guy with a stage name of “C Sharp”.) As touristy as that may sound, they were all competent instrumentalists, and could blow a top shelf Be-Bop set all night. Then, in discussions with the bassist, we concluded that playing Charlie Parker’s “Ko Ko” was a permanent milestone for measuring someone’s ability (with Coltrain’s “Five Steps” a close second.) I still have the chart for “Cherokee” he sketched out for me on a bar napkin.
    Having watched this video at least a dozen times, I believe for electric bass players, this is the equivalent of “Ko Ko” in the realm of Pop. Marta is phenomenal in this performance. The effortless skill, and the joy of nailing every bar, every phrase of this song brings vicarious joy.
