What's funny is that a lot of bands have female bassists because a non-playing girl wants to join (or is asked to join) a band and the bass is the instrument that is allegedly deemed 'easiest to play', so the guitarist will say "I'll teach you some shit on bass!" and a band finds it's bass player. Bass is not that easy to play, especially if you don't have big grubby male fingers, those strings take a lot of dexterity if you want a clean sound. I have mad respect for girls who can rock that rhythm section.

But if you never played Guitar or Bass your going to get better sound and play with a Band a lot quicker with a bass than a Guitar, Manily because you can Play root notes and Hide behind the Guitar Player. Once you start getting Pass beginner level bass Guitar becomes more challenging. and it is so much more Important to play with Drums etc.

Been playing guitar for 9 years too. And whoever said guitar is easier to learn... No, it's easier if youre learning simple stuff, but learning things like jazz, metal, prog metal/rock is very hard to learn

Back in the 70's all I had was a hollow body Hoffner, and later a fretless JazzMaster, which I wish I still had both, and now I see 5 and 6 strings bass, wow. You mixing person/equipment is very good too. Thanks for sharing, and keep recording.

Can anybody tell me how she manages to slap the E string and mute it on those 4 quarter notes throughout the main riff without using the left hand to do it?. It seems she does it all with the right hand I know but it's damn hard.
