I was taught to play this with the very basic chorus but seeing you go up an octave for the 2nd part of each note (does that make sense?) sounds fantastic. I'm not sure if you've improvised or if my ear is so bad that I didn't hear it but I'm adjusting how I play this from now to play the way you do. It's so simple but it makes it pop. I'm relatively new to bass so videos like this help me fill in the blanks so don't worry about the fuck faces who give you shit for playing an easy song, you can clearly play great, you're good looking and your video helped me and I'm sure a few others.
It's the real version of the song with her moving up around the 10th fret. I do this myself and it's way better. For the basic one you don't if you just learned it
When you are playing the bass you feel powerful. You feel that you are into de center of he song. You are the soul of the song. It's percusive, too, so, mostly in funk, you are really feeling good.
I heard years ago that she married and lives in London! Her dad is a bass player too! I read a comment years ago in a bass player blog where they were talking about her, and he made a questioned comment to which he replied, "Because I'm her father!"
