Beautiful gold for such a short amount of time mining! As to the thirst problem, you could take a water filter with you. Like that, you can drink the river empty and get to the bigger nuggets :)

That is my son Joe, the RUclips channel was his idea. After he got out of the Marines, he built that rock crawler. The original plan was to make a channel that had 4 wheeling and prospecting. Joe's wife, was in the Air force and got stationed in Omaha, Neb. There are no mountains in Nebraska, so the plan kinda fell apart. I was having fun making the videos so decided to keep going.

Gary, you should get you a Lifestraw bottle. It's light, has a clip to hang on your pack, (carry it empty unless its a long hike and you need water on the way), and you just fill it in the river, sucking it thru the very high quality filter. You're not adding weight to your pack lugging along water bottles.
