When you're clouting rock when crevicing, wear safety glasses! Polycarbonate they're light. I fix a small elastic tape to the specs and put it around the back of my head so they don't slip off. Being a jeweller I don't want to risk a shard of rock in my eyes! ...and I stow my nuggets etc in my bank's deposit box for safekeeping. Your videos are enjoyable and instructional. Thank you so much. Now, I got to return to my work.

I've watched about 20 of your videos and just noticed the cathedral pepper sauce bottle on the shelf behind you in your intro!
It reminded me of my youth digging for bottles in the old lumber camps on the coast.

The reason for hitting the like button. The more likes there are, the more it suggests the video to viewers who arent already subscribed. I know lots about youtube hehe. Also make sure you bring those saftey glasses sir. You only have two eyes and you wont be doing too much of this without them. Not to mention all that beautiful scenery.

  • @jefft1991

Oh Gary, it's so simple. I watched your video, as I always do, and you said something that I don't think anyone has comented on. You said "your going to have to do something about the glair on the ph./camera if your going to continue making thease videos." Well! We certainly do not want you to stop making videos now do we? Try a small box, I don't know, say shoebox size or something simalar, to fit and inshroud the camera on the tripod. Take one of the sides of the box and cut it out, to fit under the camera, between the tripod, where thay mount. Mayby a zip connector wraped around to hold it . Or tape. But, YOU will be able to see if it's RECORDING! Just like the big boy cameras in Hollywood. It's a starting point, hope this helps. Thanks again for another FINE video from the Mother load country. Jeff T. So Ca.

Although I wasn't really in 'gold country' I took what I learned from you so far and cleaned my first crevice. No gold, but wow, it was great practice. I know I need a few more crevice tools, and gloves. It was so fun, but my back was pretty stiff the next day! Keep up the great work. You are a great teacher.

Using the small COIL I know you'll lose depth. But do you gain more sensitivity for flour gold ? The small ones are great for trashy area's. Basically you can change the whole detector by just changing coils. No need to buy 2 or 3 different detectors , just change coils. Thanks for your information.

thanks for the video! do you have any tricks "offshore" the rivers? the reason i ask is i live in a part of sweden where we barely have any rivers, and the ones we have is full of moss and dirt. all the rivers have dried out eons ago, and all there is in my part of the country is small lakes and sometimes between them creeks more like streams. there are large parts of old river gravel areas around but they mainly put roads on top and they might be up to 30 meters deep. (and again water can only be found close to the areas but not in the river gravel parts). and its hard to find crevices when everything is covered by trees, moss and dirt... thank you very much for all videos! / swedish gold fever
