Another great Video. Please thank all your kids for their service to this great country for me. Only a half day...........hmmm...........I'd have a hard time with that one after finding what you have so far.
One of the best explanations I've seen on how to not just locate gold but continue to search for the best paying area. I think most people including myself get stuck cleaning one area of every small speck they can find and dont venture off to find greener pastures.
I wish you didn’t have to go back to work that day! Please go back and do part Two of showing where the gold gets the biggest! Love your videos Gary. They are so helpful!
Yo brother! Maybe you didn't have the time that you wanted but watching you and how you teach is like going to college. Really awesome and I thank you!!! Between you and Jeff Williams's older videos, we learn just about all we need. Thanks man!!!!!!!
Excellent tutorial on learning to read the bedrock, gravels and importance to test in an efficient manner. Thanks for taking the time to document so clearly. ⚒
This helps a lot, because I find a lot of iron and lead with my GB2 (sometimes with some small gold), but after watching this I realized that I just move from target to target without really mapping out what I'm finding. Next time I'm out I'll mark each find with little orange flags so I can visually see where the heavies are falling out, then maybe my day will be a little less sporadic and a lot more concentrated on the gold. Thanks Gary!
Great video showing how to narrow your area down to maximize finding the best gold. You are one of the best if not the best prospectors on RUclips and it’s a pleasure to watch your videos 👍👍👍
Another well made instructional video Gary! Your detector is awesome ! It and you don’t miss a thing ....!!! Hope we get another trip in before the rain comes. Water seems perfect for sniping and I have tims wetsuit!! :D
As combat wounded Vietnam veteran , thank you and thank you for ur service to! I wonder why you and ur friends never go into water is it permitted in that area , I dredged in Nc, for 9 years! Most gold in that state where I was , it’s all micro but like old timers I used murk, to get all invisible gold then retorted murk.
Ahoy YAH, thanks for Gary's lessons based on personal experience so i'm learning while here in New Jersey while i'm nearing my Day One when i will be free for leaving here for having good fun while finding Au in USA's safe areas of wilderness in California.
I really appreciate the knowledge you share. Its amazing how much there is to learn. Seems like a guy could just keep on learnin for a lifetime. You are the best thing that ever happened to my Labrador. He loves goin prospecting on the clearwater and snake. Happy veterans day !
Hey Gary, first of all, Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. You are without a doubt, the best teacher I've ever seen. Keep up the good work and God Bless you.
Another great video two toes. Like always great information. Hope to see a sequel to under the shop floor gold. My wife and I love that video. Much love from lake county.
Love your videos, well done and so educational. Ive been told that teaching is the final form of mastery, you have definitely mastered your skill! I just wish there was a little more gold over here where I am in Virginia.
That was a good one. I learned some valuable things on understanding drop zones and how I (or a guest) can use one of my relic detectors to score. Happy Veterans day all. Thanks TT.
When you first started using the detector, the hillside behind you looked like loose gravel. Was that an old hydraulic mine that was washed into sluice boxes? If hydraulic mining was still allowed, would there be Gold still in those gravels on that hillside?
Another great video. Thanks again for the phone call. It was a pleasure to talk to you. I went up to my claim Monday had a great time. It would be great for you come up an do some prospecting in the next couple weeks. Water is way low.
The river you are on right now I've seen alot of places like that that has plenty of bedrock and large boulders and gravel and sand. I just didn't have a clue back in those days. I could just imagine what I could've found and probably still can. I went off grid back then to fish rainbows if I would have been looking for gold I'd probably be rich off it by now. Lol. I'm looking for a hobby and I believe that I would enjoy this. Jim a guy I know used to hunt ginseng out there in the mountains and he found a crap load of that and back then it paid like 900 dollars a ounce for them roots.
Nice work, you explained and showed the process there as if you had been doing it a while ; D I really appreciate your instructional videos, Thank You Gary!
I can't believe I missed this video , I have to start keeping an eye on my notifications. Awesome informational video Gary and I'll be looking for any other videos of yours that I've somehow missed, best regards from Lloyd way up here in Ontario Canada.
Can’t thank you enough for the great informative videos you make! Tested the theory of this the other day (lead=heavier gold, iron=lighter gold/smaller amounts) and for me I found some real nice bigger pieces from tracking the lead streak though I am no two toes 😄.
Not bad 1/2 gram of gold for 1/2 of day of prospecting. Gotta ask did you get a new camera ? The quality is excellent and I’ve noticed your not having to drag your mic cable around plus your much further away from the camera in some shots. Thanks for sharing I do really enjoy the information you give. Have a great Veterans Day 👍🏻😎
I know about working on the house. Spent most of the summer on our remodel. Got my wife a perfect home for her needs but NEXT summer..... I'm gonna do what I love.... Prospecting!!!!
Great video you tdi will do fine. expecially if you have a couple diff coils Now If you compliment that machine with say a equinox 800 (totally waterproof ) and can double up as coin beach park and gold you will be fine and it will fing the small stuff down to no 6 shot
Hey Gary I know you love looking near the rivers the most for gold - However at screen 2:49 shows way behind you a big cliff of loose rocks and I'd like you to look there to see if that river gold is coming from that cliff which you seldom explore. Check that area for me please with your detector Gary.
Great explanation and video Gary and seems like there was a fair amount of fine gold at that spot. Must not have been any nuggets or you would have found them for sure!
I'd love to see another video with you and Gary working the rivers again Jerry , Gary could move all those large rocks and boulders as well crush up ore samples with those hands of his . He may call himself an old guy but he's stronger than most 30 year olds out there , best regards as always from Lloyd.
Hey Gary, great video for us rookie metal detector ist I’m working on my river detecting skills. Found bunch of lead Saturday in one spot and a small nugg ! like our buddy JC always says the lead will leed you !! Thanks. Hope to get out with you again soon 👍🇺🇸⚒
Two Toes I left you a message asking you what you thought about prospecting in some small rivers I know about in North Carolina and I did some research pretty quickly and the mine I was talking about I took my brother in law to it was the lucky strike mine. And I seen that Cain creek had gold in it as well and I believe that is a river in Spruce Pine which is at the top of the mountain and I believe it also runs through Ashville. So now I don't believe I'd be unlikely to find what I'm looking for plus maybe some gems and other minerals. And I even know of a cave up about halfway up the mountain and as far as I know out of almost 5 years I was out there I've never seen anyone else back there where I used to fish never even seen any foot prints or signs of anyone else. Let me know what you think please? Thanks Stuart
Where the two flows met with the larger rocks, you said the intsecting currents made a HIGH PESSURE. Can you explain a little more. Did you mean low pressure?
Well you did it again, you increased our knowledge another step further and we thank you for that. But I'm curious about one thing, it looks like your next to a lake, there is some flow but almost seem calm waters right there, my guess is that you may have found the largest gold in that area, I guess we will find out maybe on your next trip out
Gotta love that low water, sunny weather and no rain. None of that is a given at this time of year. Interesting analysis. An old mountain goat once told me that "It's all about the gravel." No nuggets this time. However, fear not. There are still plenty of them waiting for you up at Petey's Place. Will there be another video of you digging up North Yuba nuggets before the river rises?
Got to get my three boys up there to move a rock or two. Then we can get to the good gold. Look like we may have another month before the rain kicks in.
@@TwoToes Excellent idea. Get some strong young spinal columns up there and put them to work. J.C. may be able to help with a way of turning one big rock into many small rocks. Take Jeff along for the ride too!
No water today ? TOO Damn cold for me even in the summer. Love to give my Whites GMT a shot there. Sure Sniffs out Black Sand Bars quite well. I use to use a ol BFO to do that.
So sporty of you to do all of this yourself. Dragging around a camera and a tripod everywhere, in addition to aaaaaaall the cools to clean out the spots with... Great job, man. Love your videos, keep them up. What do you do with your gold? Do you ever melt it down with led to refine it, keep it all, or sell to .a refinery?
I was thinking, what I have seen in your videos your bedrock is a lot like slate, brakes easy. With that type of bedrock the gold doesn't have time to build up before it's moving again. Have you tried cleaning a large deep crevice, something that will hold the gold for a long time - could be a good video!!!
Pretty much everything. As I get older, I have a hard time seeing the puddle when tig welding, can still stick weld good and I have always hated mig welding.
Sweet. My grandma's detector can find me the gold! But I've been doing lots of research and I think I'm going to get the Fisher gold bug. Its 19 khz should be enough to find small gold in a tailings pit right?
