Most of us would love to be in a “2 gram rut” lol
I'd settle for a gram in my area
😂 all my trips in Texas equal out to grand total 2grams. Time for a trip to AZ / CO / CA
Amen!
The part where he explains the importance of making sure the boulder isn’t going to move again is such great advice.
My twenty minutes of escape to forget today’s garbage. Always enjoy watching Gary go for the gold . 👍👌
Great information on sand, and gravel! Haha...I think we all have a "crack" behind us!!
lol
There is no gold in the prison safe!
Morning Jeff and Gary. Who worked that spot? Dan-0 and I did got chased away by wasps lol. And yes my vacuum is awesome 👍. Great video and very informative my friend. LBPA4life 👍🇺🇸⚒🍀😎
wasps I killed a few that day !!!!
We planned on puttin a hurtin on that spot. Lol
Holy smokes that part where he was going to talk about working that little area after moving the boulder and his buddy brings his metal detector down and caught him off guard is so hilarious 😂
Thanks for making these videos. I've learned a lot from them. Found my first gold nugget crevicing.
I tell you, you have the best videos on the net, makes me want to go pan every time.
Definitely. Me too!
me three !!!!
I liked your quest.. Seems like that particular Tourist always finds you Gary.
Jeff is the/a comic relief tourist!
Funny Truism
✌️PT
And a lot stronger than me - comes in handy on those big boulders. lol
Amazing!!! 70 year old man moves 2 ton Boulder with a pry bar by himself. 👍. You forgot your red cape Gary. Lmao. 🤣. I haven't had a 2 gram day in quite some time. Excellent video Bro. 🇺🇸👍😎⛏
Time to head down off the hill, see if we can fix that!
Thx for cheering me up 😀
You always share great information, Gary, and you have such a way of presenting it. Love that you were able to get out before the rain. All the best to you!
Thank you for describing what you are looking at so well.
Local tourists - LOL. Poor Jeff, just trying to help. Great tips as usual. That's a great little tool for roots & gravel - didn't see it in your shop.
Devin I've been trying to get one also !!!!
I'm thinking about building a couple and giving them away this winter - maybe Jeff can win one. lol
@@TwoToes Maybe if you add some lead. LOL.
@@TwoToes See Devin what I'm up against !!!! LOL
Great video as always Gary. 🇺🇸
Thanks again Gary & Jeff. You have no idea how much your videos help us newbies identify the best starting spots! How about a video on sand/gravel comparisons (fine vs coarse black sand, hvy vs light gravels), what's in your pan besides gold that makes you do a second, third pan. Thanks again guys.
The day a vlf beats the SDC on a nugget that counts I still won't swing the vlf.... good work out there
With the recent rains… there is going to be some good gold being moved!
That rock slide that happened off highway 70 looked pretty knarly
@@kalidilerious Gnarly, Dude. Not, Knarly. You're welcome. Go Gary and Jeff! We agree on that.
Thanks for another good video to watch.
Love seeing that V-Sat perform!
I cannot explain how much I learn from Mr. G The Two Toe
Loving the weather we are having, awesome video 😎👍
such beautiful country! Dan-o keeps telling me I need to go...maybe this is the year!
Very good instructor, you are patient.
Good point you are making about bedrock coming up to meet the big boulders being where you can mine the gold...Thanks!
My Gold Master 2 is the deep depth master of the 4 detectors I have.
Flat out no frills but beats my Fisher GB2 and Minelabs GM 1000 every time!
Love the Minelabs GM 1000 over all, but all that high tech signal crunching beats down its pure signal strength a bit.
Thirty years later still the Deep 45 kHz VLF Master!
Thanks Gary

@Robert's happenings I don’t have a MD20 but looks interesting. Do you have one if so, how do you like it?
@Robert's happenings The MD20 is 300khz. Hummm, usually means super tiny material detection with little depth.
Still interesting.. I’d like to test one.
Love my White's Gold Master V-Sat !!!!!!
favorite youtuber teaching prospecting ! perfect time of year keep up the great work Gary thx for sharing
Behind you is where the crack is .... Always. Thank you for your adventures much appreciated ❤️
Thanks for all the great information Gary, Semper Fi!
That's awesome!!, We'd love that sort of stuff in Victoria (Australia)
Wish I was in a 2 gram rut sheesh lol nothing to complain about there interesting tips on moving boulders thanks for that. Not a bad piece Jeff over half a gram can’t get mad at that. Crazy the sdcw couldn’t see those. Great video can’t wait to see the return trip thanks for sharing see you on the next one👍🏻👊🏻
That was a fun day a lot of work but fun !!!!!
@@Smithsgold most people don’t understand what we put ourselves through for getting a little color in our hobby, it’s always fun while your doing it but the older you get the more it hurts the next day lol
@@48thstateprospecting that's for sure !!!!
nice gold thank you for sharing the adventure.
Thanks for the quality effort you both offer in your vid. 2 grams of shiny is still ok!
Thanks for sharing this beautiful video.
The place is awesome..
The color stones too is awesome
It is a joy just to watch the video and listen to yr experince in fing color stones. I hope i could get from you one or two small color stones found here from you..i prefer it is raw stage..i haven't seen one...i hope it not too expensive for me own ones..thank you..God bless your expeditions and findings.GB

Can’t wait for the next video!!
I don't know when this was taped but I guess it was before we knew the RIVER was coming at you. Be safe. At least this weather will make new places to check out.
Interesting comparison of the two detectors. And I'm with the guy saying that I would love to be in a 2 gram rut.
Great video Gary thank you way to go Jeff. It is hard to find gold on the South Yuba but it is there. And some good flood gold in every pan hopefully. Nice nuggets something to write home about! I just spent three days in Missouri Bar South Yuba River pretty much got skunked. I looked up at the sky and shouted stingy River where's the gold! The next pan and 1/8 inch slate popped up and then another one and then it was all over! My buddy Justin Smith has a Federal mining claim there. He was not there. There was a burn scar by our miners fire pit and a homemade stretcher at the top of the trail did not look good.
Really enjoyed the options that you were given and how you approached the River, I am really sorry that you are in this terrible 2 gram rut, keep your head up and keep on digging!
Show us that aerial footage and explain what you saw. Interesting prospecting tool!👍
Coming up in the next video.
getting in some PT on that boulder, Marine! OOORah!
im in a .5 gram rut . thanks for the video gary, always a great way to start my day at the shop.
Get to work brother lol. No RUclips 😎
@@MericaAdventures isa movin massa, lol
You are a wealth of knowledge and do an excellent job of explaining what to look for and how to efficiently and safely prospect, so thanks for sharing! All reasons for why you consistently find gold.
2 gram rut? How about a .10 gram rut 🤣 If I could find 2 grams average I would get around 200 grams a year panning…that would be BeAutiful! Always fun and informative to watch your videos Gary. Of all the guys I watch on RUclips I think your channel is heads above on information, great gold and silliness. I hope you cure that 2 gram rut for the next showing…take care.
I've discovered that the best gravels when prospecting new places contain Garys, you're always guaranteed at least two grams of gold. If you work those areas down to bedrock or start seeing Jeffs then it's time to move on cause you'll start finding more lead.......
You should be on tv!
I enjoyed watching this video.
Gary, you must find pickers in your earwax the way you ALWAYS seem to find such great gold!!
Good thing you and Jeff are such good friends or you might catch him dumping your bag upside down to catch that “Honan rut gold!” 😉😁🤣🤣
🖖😎👍 Cheers & thanks for the great content!
Another great day soaking up the sun and gold To boot 👍
Nice work guys, started to get back out with some help and have some concentrates from the hassayampa up in wickenberg, wow water was way low, hardly ran a sluice box, barely. Using my mini sluice to check it. Found a good clay layer on side of hill. Just ran 8 test buckets. Probly going up to box springs creek next.
I found good gold in a wash right by the road once you get through the wickenburg mountains and it starts to go down hill into the desert.
@@mikeblair2594 I was on open BLM land close to a rest stop a little further up. There are places but need a truck to get there just to the right side as you turn thru wickenberg. Problem, dont have a truck. Have you seen a place called box springs creek? I been looking but no luck
Hi Gary I really enjoy your videos I have watched all that you film and I am also a old car buff and would like to follow you on your journey with your old truck my last complete was a 55 Chevrolet 5 window I would like to follow your progress thanks Dave Johnson
My kitchen has put the truck on the back burner. I have hopes to be back on it by April or May. I have been filming as I work on it. Once I get it running, I will start posting videos. I don't want to post one or two them have 2 months without anything. I figure once it's running, it will be killing me to drive it.
thanks for the video looking forward to getting out there soon as the pest covid lockdowns ease up.
I watch Vogus prospecting.
He uses a "yabi " pump.
Its a hand pump made for catching live bait for fishing.
He can suck the bedrock clean under a foot of water.
Great video Gary as always wish I could do 2 grams thank you sir love you man David Johnson
Nice AU thanks for the lessons....very helpful....we have a small creek in AZ called Lynx creek and we get the small stuff for sure. But your lessons will help.
Nice find 👏👏🍻
Thank you for posting great content 👌
Nice looking gold. U guys did good. Thanks for sharing gary
You are very smart man in my book those tricks of yours are so much useful for beginners starting out for sure. Great video always a pleasure to see you out on the river finding that gold. Meaning if they had no clue on how to move a rock 10 times there weight
Pretty location and as always. Learned something. Thank you!
Hi Tony here! New Subscriber as well. Just found your channel and really enjoyed watching you guys working the area. Also, your explanations were really helpful. I'd love to see that amount in my pan here in PA. I was out last Thursday shooting a video for my channel and well very small piece. It always nice getting out and enjoying the outdoors! Your area looked amazing.
Poor Gary, only 2 grams a day...lol I'd be happy with that!
2 Grans is a little over $100 for playing in the creek all day , you are doing pretty good from my angle
thanks for the information you have a great day hope one of these days I'm watching the video and you find record breaker nugget
Great video. 2 grams is good. Best of luck on getting out of the 2g rut. And thank You for the Boulder advice.
Two Gram Gold Rut !!!!!! LOL
Nice work, 2 grams is still nice gold ⛏️🤠🇦🇺
A TGR is not a bad place to be while your waiting for a big nugget. Being in a TGR makes you a Tiger, a good club to be in!
Thanks Two toes great to see another video of yours. It’s warning up here in Australia 🇦🇺 and getting colder there so it is changing now.
I’ve been making around with my harness on my detector so it fit good soon we can travel in land Covid-19 restrictions and all are going to ease I’m going to try and do a video put in on RUclips I’m learning hope I can do it all good 👍 Cheers.
Gary did you hear about that rock slide that happened on highway 70 near Tobin? Looks pretty knarly
looked pretty cool
I have a feeling 70 is going to be closed a lot this winter.
@@TwoToes I think so !!!!
Maybe a hand dredge or yabby pump would be able to get that gold under water.
Great job fam. Keep on living the dream. Gold squad out!!!
just at the start, stopped to vote for finish where you found gold before/move the boulders...now watching to see what you choose.
so cool and fun.
👍great job guys
Getting an itchy ear, enjoying the wild views too, but a garter snake was an oops moment. I have caught some, just how often have you encountered any rattlesnakes lifting rocks or in the timber?
This river so beautiful......your eye grow smaller than before.....to find gold........lol...
This is all good info , however I dont know what state they are in much less what river. Please share general location.
Great video
Looked like a pretty good day moving rocks. Wish I could find 2 grams.
I cant wait to find my first nugget.
Great video. Wish I could go Prospecting with you one day. Living here in Sacramento and hard for me to find Prospecting partners
Hanging out for the new sniping season here in Tasmania nothing but rain, lots of it, so watching videos, not so bad. Curious about the bed rock what is it, looks hard, can see quarts veins ?
Great video. Your newest subscriber

Nice .
I think I’ve seen that place before. Lol
Great video brother. 👍
🤙LBPA4EVA 🤙
I’d love to have 2g days. S Yuba DOESNT produce real well
Trill I just spent three days panting in the rain and got a couple hundred micros text in a few flakes. I will try some side Creeks. The Middle Fork of the Yuba River is mostly claimed up so I will try to go there and ask the people if I can pan
good one
For me, it's harder to find a spot to park my car. I cant tell you how many times, I've had people come by and tell me I cant park there. Or, they dont want me to cut across their forested property to reach a state owned creek. Even though I'm 5 miles from civilization.
Morning
You should show what you eat for lunch.
With that big storm going through there now everything will change. All new deposits just calling your name.
I'm loving this weather!
@@TwoToes I bet. It is needed but watch for mudslides
New England is a 2 gram in 6 months kinda place, 2 gram rut? I can’t imagine that much in 1 place. 👋🍀
Sure would like too experience gold fever, had buck fever.
Great information Gary. Thanks for sharing! LBPA4LIFE
I’d be stoked on a .50 gram rut😂
Same rut for a few days now. Happens
Nice
some gold is better then no gold. just a thought maybe a gold monster 1000 it will pick up the tiniest pieces. ? just saying. you have a good day.
I know you’re very good at finding gold but not quite sure why you call very large rocks and some boulders Gravel. When that word is mentioned we associate with very small rocks. Like upland birds pecking grit from road gravel
