That was a wonderful adventure to watch. The two of you together is at times like a Abott & Costello episode...lol. The search for the conglomerate piece will be a great watch and I can't wait.
Nice. Found someone's lost vile/can👍 you might think the video is too long but I bet there's lots of people who think like me and could easily and happily watch another half an hour of video from you two cool dudes. Happy hunting! Looking forward to the next video.😉😁👊 💚💛❤
Hey you found our blue can😂😂😂 Those where some awesome finds!! The bullets were super cool. Was nice to see the different machines work as well. Thanks for taking us along. Much love from over here in Lake county🍻⛏
Very cool find in that painted can! Reminded me of the Lost Blue Bucket Mine legend of Oregon. You are inspiring me to devote more of my prospecting time to artifacts- really fun to try and piece together what the original miners were up to! Thanks, Gary and Jeff!!
Power pole gold Basement gold Pocket gold Logging road gold Now ??? Canned Gold 😂😂😂😂 Only Two Toes CAN find gold Anywhere 😂😂😂😂😎 Well done and thanks fer shar’n ✌️
Every Monday I get up and contemplate trying to go home from work and go gold mining after I watch your videos in the morning lol, you and Jeff crack me up . I’ve always wonder if some old miner has ever hid his loot in some secret spot and I got lost to time, that was awesome when you found that can. I’m getting ready to detect an old Chinese camp no ones messed with so I’ve been told, on our claim. Good luck on your adventures.
It is so nice to see you out prospecting with your good friend, Jeff. It is so beautiful in the mountains, in the sunshine and fresh air! Have a blessed day!
On ya Gary! Good to see you both slogging it out in the sun... Loved the bullets in the bark and that tin of good ol goodness, enjoyed the show. Keep em coming guys!
You never cease to amaze! I've said you could pull gold out of a flower pot..... now out of garbage! Have you ever tried the county dump? You should start a "gold in the oddest damn places" series 🤔. Cool bullets also!
I would not say that your videos are to long , I really enjoy watching you guys using the metal detectors. Y'all are finding some real treasures. Keep up the good work. Happy hunting
Fantastic finds. My brother found some old musket balls in a yew tree he was planking up, unfortunately wrecked the saw blade but the lead made fantastic colours in the wood
Sorry, the keychain idea was while I was watching. That can is so cool! What a neat find. I’ll never look at a rusty can on a hike the same way again. I’ll probably have to take them all home “just in case” lol
Gold ,square nails and a musket ball stuck in a tree ? 🤔 Heads up Jeff !!! Remember the Natives (Gary’s tribe 😂 )shoot prospectors for their Gold . Nice video Gary thanks
@@Smithsgold Right after I bought the SDC2300 they came out with the 6000 and I was thinking that maybe I should have saved my money for a another year or two, but watching these videos I think the SDC2300 will do the job and I won't have to get a divorce. I sure get a kick out of watching you to on these videos and I've learned alot, take care and thanks
Well Gary your videos are my only prospecting enjoyment these days, I retired and moved to OK to start a small farm from CO. I haven't figured out how to go west to have some fun. So just know you do make a difference to some if not all. Great job!
Miner was probly scooping gravels into that old tin can from a bedrock crevice, wonder if he lost his spoon to? That round ball looks like a 36 caliber from a pattern 1800 baker rifle or trade musket! great finds and vid!
Loved the video..would love to see you two metal detect the butte creek..i think you would find some good pieces there and would make for a great video
I feel like I could watch an hour long video of u and Jeff. I try to make my videos shorter. But mine are not near as cool as yours. Keep doing your thing you guys inspire us all to get out there
Well done, I just released the other day a short of why you double tap the holes! Found a silver ring below a pull tab!! All the best in the field from Colorado! And great reminder to hit your dirt with a metal detector before pitching.
cool bullet almost a west coast witness tree, as close as we get. I'm binging all the vids you've posted getting the fever going good , I'm over in the coast range, but heading east asap ! happy hunting, thanks for all the great information !!
Um, no thought to putting it in the bottle? Snuffer? Your pocket? 😄😄 Great video Gary! I hope there's access to the high country this year so you can do more videos. What with the fires and all.
Silver coins were once cut up to pay ppl when they had no smaller coins. That’s what “pieces of 8” are, 1/8th of a coin. Not sure if yours are the same kinda thing though🤷♂️
There is a trail marker tree directly behind you. They are called Indian thong trees. They wee intentionally bent to mark trails before the was road signs!!! Some travelers would use them as places to stop and rest along and in between stops to their destination.
I wish them white rocks would sound off my detectors to. And Jeff’s find was cool. Iv never seen a can like that. Have you found anything like that before? I’m thinking it was a storing can. Great video.
You better be careful, if Jeff turns out to be a closet alchemist, he's going to own you someday! Sorry Jeff, can you imagine picking on someone just for that? I mean sure, as far as superpowers are concerned, being attracted to cheap metals is kinda lame, but I think you own it rather well. Good for you buddy, good for you. Ooh, and I see that you just re discovered how the first pencil was made. (I've gotta wait til the end to comment, I've edited this about 6 times)
Aahhh…I get it; you brought a professional lead and square nail detection artist! Good thinking, my man! Every once in a while you need that quarter-inch classifier with you. It’s okay, your secret is safe with me; “Wink, wink, nudge, nudge, say no more, say no more! A smile is as good as a nod to a blind bat!” -Monty Python (Just kidding, Jeff…gotta keep Gary puffed up and occupied so you can sneak off and work the best spots!) 🤣🤣🤣🤣 🖖😎👍
Great video and finds can’t believe that can had gold pretty crazy I think someone swiped that material and buried it and when they found out it was gone they killed him and never found it 😂😂😂 2 grams not bad at all thanks for sharing see you on the next one👍🏻👊🏻

I've got to tell you, none of your videos are too long. You make excellent videos. I'm looking forward to your next adventure.
Perfect timing for this video. Geno, Bill & I are heading up to the pits tomorrow. I'm bringing my 24K & SDC. Love that scraping tool with a magnet!
The SDC 2300 sure has an edge in many situations. Also, thank you for helping me develop a better eye to evaluate gravel in different locations.
Those round balls stick in the wood were pretty cool!!

If you run out of old fishermen to watch.....

Thanks Gary - as always great stories and great story telling. You guys are quite the team (and funny together). Nice finds!
This one was really interesting. The blue gold scooper was a really cool find. Just proves "all that glitters is not necessarily gold"!

nice finds, round balls and the can. Maybe the can is how the blue bucket mine received its name.🤔 probably not.

True one reason why coins were eventually made with a reeded edge . To stop coin clipping.
And they did the same with large cents in colonial days.
Long videos are good videos (just so you know). Thanks for all the hard work!
Coffee and gold!!, life is all good
Super nice video! "you keep your gold in the red can, mine is in the blue one" :)
Should try a video with a cheap detector. Like a 500.00 dollar one. I'd be curious how well it does in a known gold area.
I like this multi detector in the same place thing, very interesting.
Am i first in the comments good morning i havent been out in a few weekends working my tail off good luck
.More venture..more findings..more reward.God bless
I'm curious as to why you don't use a pin pointer when you get close to a target. I never leave home without mine.
Awesome video and can't wait until the treasure hunt. Oh and the video isn't too long. Not for me anyway lol

Gary, go buy the gpx6000. You won't be disappointed. It'll leave that sdc2300 for dead mate.
longer the better!! LOVE'EM
