    For those still waiting, thank you for your patience. The entire Max Payne timeline and video on Vito Scaletta from Mafia 2 is currently being worked on. Hoping both of which will be out by next week! As far as Ghost of Tsushima goes. Just Tenzo left, then I'll combine everything to make it easier to binge!❤
    P.S. I also have a special RDR video on John coming....

    Yuna and Jin basically became the first Shinobi / Kunoichi. Yuna needs to be in Ghost 2 she's such an amazing character, and it's her people who are now what's being called The Ghost Army, aka a Shinobi Clan.

    If any theme sticks out from Yuna, its a theme of survival. She worries about the Survival of Taka, She worrys about her own survival, and eventually worries about the survival of JIn. Jin is by far is the most compassionate character in ghost of Tsushima. When Yuna was going to be executed because Shimura wanted to frame her for poisoning the mongols, Jin refused because he didn't want to feed Yuna to this 'honor' that lord Shimura was pushing onto him: whats the point of honor if it means betraying someone who has helped you survive and now only wants the best for you. which is why I think Yuna sticks with Jin after the beginning of act 3, and even far past act 3 she visits him after the ending of the game (which may imply that they will be working more closely together in the supposed sequel)
    This actually makes me realized why I hated Lord Shimura during the finale of this game, and why I spared him. He does so much to maintain his honor for an leader that doesn't believe in "another way". That facing your problems head on is the only solution to a problem. It clings on to a tradition that is failing in the face of adversity, of a society that wants to change but can't because the one guy at the top has some ideas about how things should be compared to what it actually is. Honor died on the Beach. Why should it die again in a graveyard?

    • @terminator9489
      @terminator9489 13 дней назад +1

      People like to shit on shimura for clinging to his honor but samurai were always very rigid warrior, and to break the Bushido (the samouraï code) was almost heresy
      And jin didn't become the ghost easily he had a lot of problem especially with the poison, he says something like "once the mongols are gone, I'll stop using it"

    Yuna is one of the few female lead characters I've seen in the last gaming and cinema titles. I liked her immediately in the first scenes because of one reason SURVIVAL. Its easy to write a story of a character but you can mess it up without reason, purpose and goals. Yuna achieved 2/3 of those and lost one. But she kept going and helped create a legend. I hope shes a sensei of the next generation of Kunoich in Ghost of Tsushima 2. Great character.

    I thought of an interesting point on the whole “adding a supernatural element to the war against the mongols”, as in history, the actual mongol invasion of Japan, as well as the second mongol invasion were both wiped out by hurricanes before the main invasion force ever got to Japan. Because of this, the Japanese had a religious reawakening as they attributed the storms to the work of the gods. I would say that we could see something similar in ghost of Tsushima 2, due to the fact that the mongols were brought down by a legendary figure, who could be sent by the gods, or at least that’s what the stories out of Tsushima may say.

    I will say the game did a little too much to make it so Yunas actions to prop up the Ghost is the right answer. We saw a few instances where people may fear the ghost, BUT it put more effort into Shimuras viewpoint being the more destructive route and barely any merrits of having its pros.
    Not saying his blind faith in honor is good but he had a point in not straying to far into the enemies ways which would have fear leak on to the people, or left unchecked taking matters into their own hands and doing a shitty job while doing so.

    • @navyhusky2020
      @navyhusky2020 14 дней назад +6

      Yeah, I think at the point the Mongol's started using Jin's tactics, like the poison, against the people of Tsushima it gave Shimura's philosophy a bit more credence

    • @schmittybacall1655
      @schmittybacall1655 14 дней назад

      Honestly, I thought the same, but once the first chapter is finished, the effects of Jin’s actions can be felt. His actions indirectly caused the mongols to begin to become more destructive and oppressive, as well as looking for allies in any and all locations that would fight the ghost. Jin fixes many of these issues, but still, his escalation causes the mongols to escalate. The issue is that we see the entire game from Jin’s perspective. He sees how effective his methods are and rarely ever focused on the downsides or the future issues that could be caused by his actions. The only time that I remember him specifically blaming himself for the escalation of the mongols was the poison in the final chapter, which he taught the mongols to use and fear. Both sides have merit, but the game wants to show you how the direction that Jin goes is possible even though he dedicated his life to another life style.

    • @d.n5287
      @d.n5287 14 дней назад +1

      @@navyhusky2020the mongols already are willing to use "dishonourable" tactics such as taking out the first samurai on the beach by lighting him on fire. Perhaps Jin did make them more brutal, but the mongols were going to be as brutal as necessary to accomplish their campaign objectives.

      @@schmittybacall1655 I get that but the game still goes through the extra mile to make Yuna the good one. I also don't take kindly to her referring him as the Ghost especially when in person. Jin is not a tool, especially when multiple times she' seems ready to cut and run

    He and Miyamoto Musashi have a lot in common when it comes to going against samurai tradition; That's definitely someone he should come across and learn from in the sequal,
    The video game was awesome through-and-through one of the best I've seen and played thus far, (next to red dead redemption 2) keep up the good work sucker punch; As far as the character of jin sakai goes I do not consider him a hypocrite or a tratior to honor at all, He continued to show himself to be the most honorable, more so than his uncle due to the fact that he valued innocent lives more than the need to appease the rigid dogma of the bushido code for the sake of his uncle and the shogun, they were facing an enemy that was using their code against them to take over the land and the people and jin saw no other choice but to break away from that in order for his people and his country to survive the murderous onslaught of the mongols, Thus it forced him down a path that he was Initially resistant to but ultimately embraced for the good of everyone Which in turn has made him a beloved living legend among his people as well as tsushima's very own japanese zorro, He may have sacrificed and lost everything because of the harsh choices he was forced to make, but he also gained a whole lot more from his willingness to sacrifice and lose everything for the greater good of all and he for a video game character has my utmost respect for that.
    His uncle however is the villain of his own story because he was willing to sacrifice an innocent woman like jin's friend yuna to the shogun and blame the poisoning of the mongols on her; something a man of honor should never do, so I personally don't care about lord shimura's pain, he deserves it and what better way for him to suffer more than to be spared and live with the humiliation of having his own nephew and "son" go on to become a better person and greater legend than him, the shogun and the entire class of the samurai. LONG LIVE THE GHOST!!! 🔥💯😉😁👍
