    Hi Ben. I haven’t watched the video yet but I just wanted to ask something. So I have a RUclips channel where I sing sometimes, and for all three years that I’ve had my channel, I’ve used only my phone to record so the audio quality…it’s not bad, but I know it could be better. (Or at least I hope so. I don’t want to buy a mic and then see that the audio quality has not changed in the slightest) But yeah, I have the chance to buy a mini microphone. It’s very tiny, one that you just plug into your phone. It says it’s a Lavalier microphone. I guess my question is, should I buy it? Will this microphone drastically improve the sound quality?
    I don’t have a lot of options. This one’s less than 5 dollars, and others are more expensive😅😅
    I’d really appreciate your feedback and advice, thank you in advance! Sorry by the way if this comment sounds all over the place

    Ben I have two Tascam DR-10L units and syncing up in post two individuals on the street talking is a living nightmare.
    Though the individuals are four to five feet apart you get pre-echo. You have to completely reduce the sound of one
    of the subjects speaking to have usable sound. If you try to sync both units and lower the sound of one of the units while
    the other person stops talking which many people suggest that I do is ridiculous. To do this it would sound unnatural
    because usually when one person is talking the other person man interject something at the same time the other person
    is speaking. Have you actually used the Tascam system while two people are speaking four or five feet from one another?
    Seems to me the Tascam is only good when one person is talking.

    Audio makes my head spin, wireless audio makes my head explode! I love the idea of the Tascam and the multiple audio tracks at different levels - and no dropouts. Btw, your Tascam DR-10L link is incorrect in the description

    Nice video, Ben! I purchased the Voical Air due to its "all-in-one" appeal.
    However, when I use this mic my voice skips and cuts in and out. This causes my sound to be utterly useless. Do you know what may cause this? Thanks!

    • @benjohnsoncreative
      @benjohnsoncreative  3 года назад +1

      Usually if you are experiencing audio drops it could be due to wireless interference. This is ultimately why I like the tascam dr 10l as mentioned in the vid

    Hi. For synching your video and audio on the Tascam what software do you use that lines it up for you? That’s been the hardest part for me so far.

    • @benjohnsoncreative

      I edit in Final Cut Pro x and it has built in syncing software. What I used prior to that was a program called “plural eyes” it is compatible with premiere and other editors

    Hey Ben, loved the video. I have a quick question. I would like to use 6-8 lav mics for a audio and visual podcast I am starting up. How would that work? Would I be able to use 6-8 for 6-8 people In one video. Or is there a better option for a group that size.

    • @benjohnsoncreative
      @benjohnsoncreative  3 года назад

      I would use separate Lav mics, if you can afford it get 6-8 tascam dr-10l then sync it all later
