@EasterBurn I don’t think that’s exactly true. Unique toys has its own slightly different KOs, so maybe it’s the same thing here where this is retooling WJ.
@EasterBurn Well I remember Optimus shooting a jacketed round from one of his fuel tank pistols in the factory scene before the forest fight in RoTF. Perhaps the Transformers borrowed some innovation from humanity since the first installment of the live action franchise. Otherwise, jacketed rounds could be a more pervasive form of projectile throughout the intelligent universe... Then again, TLK retconned everything regarding humanity's history with the Transformers so who fucking knows.
A quick way to differentiate between clip and magazine is that the clip is a strip of metal that holds bullets while a magazine is the metal/plastic box we are very familiar with. The former were primarily used on WW1 and WW2 era rifles, which you use the clip to slide the bullets in the internal magazine, acting as speed loaders
@@JFTSwiertzgranmastersword hit it right on the head. Most older battle rifles used stripper clips, just bands of metal that the rear of the cartridge slid into, to load rounds into the internal magazine. You placed the clip onto a rail on the gun and pushed the rounds into the gun, stripping them off the clip, which was then discarded. The US M1 Garand used something slightly different called the enbloc clip that gathered the rounds in a staggered bloc and the entire thing was loaded into the gun. Once the rounds were all expended, the enbloc clip was ejected so a new one could be inserted. Enbloc was more rare and has little use on modern arms, while stripper clips can still be bought and used as fast reloads for box magazines. The ones I use have 10 round stripper clips that attach to the detachable box magazine with a 'spoon' and then act like the stripper clips of old where you push down and they feed into the magazine. It takes 3 stripper clips to completely reload my magazines, but it's extremely fast compared to individual loading cartridges, especially if you need more hate seeds in an extreme hurry. My stripper clips are all saved for TSHTF situations. I normally reload one at a time while watching TV or some.
I was certainly confused considering Jobby's stance against non-transforming transformers. But was surprised it could transform especially with how better the back is.
Here's the difference between of a clips and magazine: -A clip is just a way to hold a stack of ammo inside a firearm. Most look like a thin layer of metal that holds the base of the rounds and have no spring. -A magazine is a metal box with a spring that houses the bullets and feed them into the action by slowly decompressing that spring. In that case, Optimus has a magazine.
@@JayYappa21 Technicaly, you are correct. Well, depends on the firearm. An example of clip-fed pistol would be the MAuser C96, as the magazine is internal and is reloaded via clips from the top. Still, clip fed pistols are rare. Clips are far more common in blot action rifles, especially those from WW1. Think the Gewehr 98K, the Mosin-Nagant, the M1903 Springfield...
I'd like to remind you that pretty much all of the cybertron scene, including the character designs and cgi, was done within a tight time limit of 6 months
4:50 No worries, I got you. That's a magazine. Magazine: a case that carries ammunition to be put into a gun. These are typically rectangular or curved, but there are also other variations such as a drum magazine and a dish plate magazine. Clip: A small strip of metal made to hold ammunition. It is typically used as a tool to slide the bullets into the magazine instead of putting each one in individually, however, certain guns(mostly older ones) had the magazine built into a gun and couldn't be removed, or simply had no magazine at all, so the clip was used to feed the gun, sharing a similar purpose as a magazine, but as a strip instead of a full case.
