I should do that with my many Optimus Primes and my best Megatron.
Finally, a Starscream figure that folds the stabilizers against the the wings instead of trying to fold them into or against the legs

I still think Meteor is the better figure, although the Tail fins being a bit floppy is annoying, it still has the better jet mode, a smarter transformation, and a more articulated bot mode. I just think it’s a tad too blocky for modern MP.

MP-3 doesn't get enough praise on how they managed the underside of the jet-mode.
It really needs more praise honestly. The robot mode had a whole new aesthetic going on, which I prefer over G1 accuracy at all costs, and the Jet mode was damn near perfect. If you had an aviation fan and didn't tell them that it was a transformer toy, they probably would have thought it was a 1:32 scale (almost) model of a F-15 Eagle
I'm more of a guy who prefers show accuracy in my Transformer toys (not just for G1), but I cannot deny that MP-3, all things considered, definitely had an amazing jet mode.

Seems to be a curse with official Starscream toys. I can't remember a single instance of any offical Starscream from any of the continuities' toylines in which he had a waist swivel. Correct me if i am wrong

@@charlienash1050 I believe none official Starscreams other than Siege have a waist swivel, but Siege has it mainly bc the entirety of the jet mode is in his torso.
@@Spinworth yeah, Siege can have it because it doesn't Integrate any of the robot into the alt mode in its transformation. Pretty much you just fold the Robot into as small of a thing as possible and cover it up with the wings. Outside of that poor excuse, I can't think of any other official instance of a seeker mold being able to swivel its waist

The cockpit parts store in the chest making a waist swivel a bit hard to pull off. But perhaps with the new Coronation Starscream figure in the Studio Series line we might get a waist swivel for him

I'd like to recommend the earthrise Optimus prime, fantastic mold, intuitive transformation, no backpack(technically), a matrix of leadership and posable fingers
That "Gerwalk mode" feels oddly nostalgic. Baltmatrix does that a lot to any jet/plane transformers and I think that's pretty neat.
I've seen several other reviews of MP-52, all of them mentioning the loose ankles, so it seems to be a wide-spread issue. Other than that I'm very impressed with this figure. I can't wait to see how DS-001 will compare. It already has the one feature we all desire.
That loose ankle thing might be intentional, so it's easier to get the feet to stay level, but it still sucks because forward and backward balancing is non-existent.

To this day I still think that old starcream toy that I had was a rejected, repurposed design of Valkrya Fighter jet from Macross.
Takara reminds me of that one classmate who does shitty work, turns it in late, and literally misses 90% of the given instructions, but somehow ends up getting an A-, while others get a C- for the exact same thing.

I'm gonna be honest here...I don't WANT Starscream to have a waist swivel. My reasoning for that is that, based on what the actual design is supposed to be (with the jet cockpit extending all the way from the top of his chest down past his waist and into his pelvis), he would have never been able to swivel. He wasn't designed to. It would have looked really strange if the animation model had swiveled at the waist. I don't mind a lack of certain points of articulation if the reason for that lack actually makes sense due to the character's design.
That “Modika Godzilla Prime” legitimately made me happy
