I love your take on everything u review cuz its spot on to mine ALWAYS!! Its crazy!!!! Guess i dont need to tell ya what i thought of the season since you nailed it in the review lol!!! THANKS brother!!!!!
I feel the same way that you do about this season. Right down to loving Beth and wishing she had survived. I feel like a lot of the hate on Killer Flicks came from it simply not being a continuation of the first two seasons. As far as a new season goes? I would love it. Even if they go full-blown anthology with it. I would prefer a continuation of either this or the last group, though. However... with the behind the scenes stuff? I'm not holding my breath on it happening.
I agree, I went in with low expectations but it was nowhere near as bad as I thought. Some of the characters were really good, I liked seeing the scream mask back and some of the kills were pretty great too.
This was a decent watch, it held my interest throughout with the many twists & turns. Great reviewing Lee. P.S, I think you may have a doppelganger Lee, the guy who repaired our phoneline yesterday shared your likeness & his name was........Lee!!! (Cue) Twilight Zone theme.
I was also really invested in those characters from season 1 and 2 and really enjoyed those seasons, but I have to say season 3 earned it’s place. This cast of characters and the inner city setting was just so interesting. Deion, Kym, Beth and Jay really brought something special to the Scream franchise. I’ve kind of been shocked that there’s not more love for MTV’s Scream in general though. I think they’re pretty much up to par with the movies and even do some things better. The shows have awesome kills (some in season 3 made me outburst with discuss haha), the third season has some fun meta conversations, and the killer reveals were very fun. I think Ghostface in season 2 is one of my top three Ghostfaces out of the entire franchise.
I really liked this season. I enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would. This is how a reboot should be done. The lousy reboot that happened to Fear The Walking Dead completely ruined the show for me. Awesome video, as always. Thank you ☺☺☺☺☺
finally.just finally. Tbh i like season 3 but ill admit it does have a few problems with it. Great vid tho. Hopefully we can get the Scream series revisited, the Rob Zombie 3 from Hell trilogy, including the new one when it comes out actually. Well done, Drumdums
I like season 3. Tyga acting was terrible but I like how it started on halloween and tony todd character was cool. I love Beth's character! Cj wallace (notorious big son) ain't a bad actor either he talented like his dad of course. And the original mask being back thank god 🙏. Good review lee 👍💪
Here is your AHS review in a nutshell. Season 1 and 2 are amazing. Everything after that started off slow got really good in the middle and then floundered at the end of every season. Most of them had far too many villains and they didn't know who they wanted the big baddies to be looking at you freakshow. Best season other then the first two was def cult the fact that it had no supernatural ties really helped it and everything until the horrid Andy Warhul episode (ugh probably the worst episode of the entire series) and the I am women hear me roar finale it was damn good.
Finally finished the season. I actually enjoyed it. It was different and interesting to have a large presence of African American actors. I really liked Beth and think they missed an opportunity killing her. I did guess around episode 4 that Deion was not Deion but actually Marcus. But I still thought the killer was Liv. I think it’s definitely worth a watch. The kills were really good too. Way darker than the previous seasons.
I waited so long for this I knew I would somehow miss when it finally was put on Netflix. Just found out months late a couple days ago and immediately thought about what ur review would be. I'm only two episodes in, so far I don't have much of an opinion it's alright but I'm going to watch this video now then watch another episode before bed.
I have two more episodes to go it's better than I thought it would be.. However I don't like how every white guy is a bad guy, besides that I'd say it's nearly as good as the first season but I'm not finished yet. Makes me wish Halloween had a TV series. Starring Danielle Harris of course.. I guess the next move for the Scream franchise is Scream 5.
I enjoyed the ghost face from this season much more cause it was like OG ghost face where he was clumsy and you would see him boogie out of a situation. I felt like the first two seasons one was to rob zombie micheal Myers to me. Like bruh yo picked up a woman like a child and hung her like nothing.
I'm two weeks late for giving my instant input, but after recently watching Scream (Season 3) after surprisingly seeing so many recommendations. I have to say that it was beyond disappointing and quite personally insulting to me when they made Beth (the psychotic Gothic "freak" in the studios' eyes) the killer of the show. It's as if the creators were trying to make some foolish outdated statement with that choice. She was probably the only character who was interesting despite her poor taste in Horror films such as Rob Zombie's Halloween instead of the Carpenter classic, but I digress. lol The rest of the characters were annoying to me. The first two seasons were definitely better, and it's a shame we still haven't gotten an answer on who that mysterious killer was at the end of Season 2. Maybe we'll get some closure in the future.
I agree, though I'm fine with how season 2 ended with a sort of cliffhanger, the story is over as far as I'm concerned. And I'm fine with having standalone seasons with new casts and stories, but they really dropped the ball on this season. Hopefully they make a better season 4.
I enjoyed seasons 1 & 2 but for me this was the best season we got the original voice and mask back and i like that the story was something different i didnt see the ending coming i had a feeling that tyga was involved some how but the goth Lonely girl i didnt see that coming good story yes the acting could have been better but over all the best of all 3 in my opinion
I love the Scream movies, couldn't get into the first two seasons cos I Hated the Ghost face costume, but after I saw the trailer for season 3, I loved it, someday I want to watch it.. can't now cos my list for shows is longer then my foot size. good review :)
I pretty much agree. I didn't go in with very high expectations as I was disappointed that we wouldn't be seeing the original cast and tying up some of the loose ends in season 2. This season had some good moments though. I thought some of the twists were good and while some of the characters were kind of weak, there were some strong ones as well, especially Beth.
You like the only reviewer who likes Scream Ressurection I actually like this season over the second season I don't understand why this season is so hated can someone explain? I don't see nothing bad about this one I think Beth is the wackest Ghostface of the entire Scream media if we were to rank every Ghostface she be at the bottom of the list but other than that I have no issue with Scream Ressurection the cast are well known stars I like we had a male protagonist as well.
Scream is my favorite horror franchise!! I loved this season especially the ethic cast and gay character resonated with me! The hookman(candyman) vs ghost face was SICK AF I was gagged!! I love Kiki Palmer!!
I like how you said maybe for once in the scream franchise the killer should live in the sequel or next season and we know who the killer is And the killer becomes much more violent then before as a way of revenge
I agree with you! I was impressed by the kills for a tv14 show. MUCH BETTER than the latest season of Slasher, which fell so much in quality i couldn't even finish
Great review. I loved this reboot so much more than Scream 2, 3, and 4. I think having it only be 6 episodes really helped this story, it wasn't too drowned with filler stuff and the action was really good. Also, the kills in this reboot were so creative as for as thrillers go. I agree about the story being bogged down by the romance plotlines completely. With all the mentioning of Liv being the 'final girl' stereotype, I wanted them to kill her and turn that trop on it's head because I hated Liv's character so much.
I loved this Season 3. It took me a while to adjust to it because it was different and not what I expected. I watched the first 3 episodes and wasn't sure about it, actually I cringed at the first 2 episodes. I then watched the first 3 episodes over again and finished it out and loved it! I thought it was fantastic!
I get why people are mad that the story from S1 and S2 didn't continue but its CALLED an ANTHOLOGY series for a reason. People really over look this 3rd season because it had POC and scream has been notoriously WHITE.
I didn’t see the Deion/Marcus twist coming, but I saw the rest of them a mile away. I thought overall, it was decent but frustrating especially the way they would have a great setup and then cut away like the “candyman”/ ghostface fight.
Some of my favorite aspects of this series include it being responsible for alot of firsts in the franchise. The diversity, mainly with more black actors and the focus on inner city kids as opposed to suburbia hadn't been done yet and I liked seeing a final boy protagonist as the lead. Also this is the first time a story line was made up of all male kills, with the exception of Beth. We get our first black ghostface with Jamal (almost done in Scream 2 with Hallie before script leaks) and despite everything else, this season hands down had some of the best and goriest kills of the entire franchise. The Candyman/Tony Todd homage was fun and referencing Jordan Peele within the series was a nice touch. Having Paris Jackson as a cameo was also a fun nod since it was Michael Jackson's song "Scream" that inspired the name of the franchise. It's also fun that Keke Palmer can be attached to the Scream franchise since she worked on Ryan Murphy's Scream Queens alongside Emma Roberts, who starred in Scream 4
@@DrumdumsOfficial hopefully some of the highlights that came from the tv series could be incorporated into any future installments for this franchise. I love Scream in it's entirety and I want there to be a film that tops the original. That should be the goal for any sequel, but we'll see what happens 😂
I did like having a mostly black cast and the setting was good without feeling forced like drumdums said, but they just had to make it all political and it added NOTHING to the story... the only thing they were saying was "white people bad. racism bad" and that was it. Like half of the white people in the show were so blatantly racist for literally no reason. I like Keke Palmer and her performance was great but her character was so annoying because her entire character was "white people don't care about black people" and nothing else. They mentioned great black horror movies like Get Out, but the show doesn't do anything to elevate itself to anywhere near Get Out's level of greatness. They complained about racism while all their characters were stereotypes themselves. I would've overlooked all that but some of the acting was bad and the ending felt just so rushed and all that shit with Liv was a huge red herring with ZERO explanation, she was all "You don't know who I really am" to her dad and then... it was never brought up again. I'm alright with having standalone seasons with all new casts and stories, but this was easily the weaakest season to me. It could've been so much better.
I found your channel and started watching your Scream videos for the first time today. I was wondering if you made a season 3 video yet and what do ya know? You literally just uploaded it. Definitely got a new sub from me!
Great review! I was a fan of the first two seasons and I was bummed that they didn’t tie up the story. Because of that I did not catch this season. I may now have to check out the new season of Resurrection.
exactly what i was thinking, wouldve been perfect if somehow dion got like a football contract where the cast of season 1 and 2 stayed, bring his girlfriend and mum and had one of them 3 or the originals as the killer! maybe even 2 killers and have some link between the 2 series about how they work together
Cool review Lee have you at try to review Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul? Please review them they're both good and they're set in the same universe and even the film that set after the series finale of Breaking Bad.
I went into this season not knowing it was a reboot. I'm super disappointed they didn't continue the Brandon James story, after they left it so open ended. I loved the original story they made that still worked within the Scream story line, the characters were fresh and the familiar at the same time. This attempt at a reboot was so bad I only watched the 1st episode but then I was done.
Laufield, let me explain this to you, if you brought movie characters in there, the universe is knows about ghostface, so the police could just a search after the first sighting or kill.
Tbh I enjoy it better than the 2 fist seasons. Emma was such a downer and the geek and lesbian (forgot their names) became so annoying at some point I just wanted them to die. In this season we have some cool characters, Beth was my favorite and wanted her to be the final girl. This season went straight to the point as oppose to the other one they kept circling in circles.

There was some good things about this season as you pretty much checked but it wasn’t that good, at least in my opinion anyway. It felt rushed to me. God I wish they would’ve just stuck with the original characters. We got cheated out of who the killer was at thee no of season 2. Was it Brandon James, his brother, or was it Emma’s dad Kevin. So many theories! And we’ll never know.
I really wished that the cast from season one and two were is season three. But i thought season 3 was good. My fave season was 2. I was very suprised that Kieran was one of the Killers. I wish that they at least had something to do with Brandon James in Season three. I hope that there will be a season four
What if it’s all a multiverse So season 1 and 2 was the original plan and what would’ve happened because roman says in scream 3 that scream 2 wasn’t planned. And then season 3 is scream 2 because of revenge and one of the murderers are only doing it because they like murder. So if it was season 4 what would happen? Like a mix up of Randy and Jill’s Real Boyfriend (I forgot his name)
Wasnt a big fan but this scream was the first in the urban setting we now got in scream 6. Also, did not know who the killer was at the end so the reveal was good..but sour grapjes about the cliffhanger and unsaid answers
The first 2 seasons was too teenage drama for me to get into it.as a fan of the movies since the beginning I can say it was refreshing to get the iconic costume and voice back in season 3
I don't mean to be a mean spoiled scream fan, but I always felt 6 episodes was a short time to build and develop characters. So it was really hard for me to invest in characters. But it surely ranks above scream 3.
It was an interesting series and gave us somewhat of a wild ride but I'm with you on being super bummed of them not closing out the previous seasons properly. The casting for the first 2 seasons is quite possibly my favorite of all time.
Yeah I noticed that, not only that but they made it super stereotypical.Of course you got the black kid from the hood, and the typical rich white kid who is a complete asshole, the black girl who’s “loud and mouthy” with the light skinned girl playing the pretty love interest of course. It was retarded and the racism they threw in there was unneeded and unnecessary.
Late to this since I just discovered your channel. But they should have at least finished off the storyline from the previous 2 seasons before moving away from that. Matter of fact, one of the things they could have done with this season or the series on a whole is to show the origin of the ghostface mask and maybe let the series be like a prequel to the Scream films we know and love. The last episode isn't enough to save the season. And unfortunately the 3 worst Scream killers overall are Beth, Charlie (from Scream 4) and Jay.
I’d say this season was pretty solid. But if you consider it a movie it’d be better than scream 3. Crazy that scream has 4 movies and 3 full seasons and there’s yet to be anything horrible
I dont find this darker at all than the others just my opinion, season 3 was still decent though unfortunately it suffers from alot of misplaced comedy which kinda ruined it for me it was still decent enough though i guess...
As you said they left too many things open from season 2. Had they closed it up in like 3 episodes and not make it a season. Then dropped this one and decided to make an anthology, it would have worked.
I actually finished watched it 2 days ago on Netflix it really did surprise me as well season 4 maybe coming 2020 but on VH1 not MTV i really wanted beth to live she the best actor for this season but the season felt rushed that's what made it suck
Ugh. Ok so I just got done watching and I have some thoughts on this one. I definitely agree that there some great things about this season but a lot of what bothered me was the flow didn't seem very fluid. Like some scenes felt choppy and awkward. Some scenes would be overly dramatic, but then other scenes wouldn't be dramatic enough. In general though, I think I agree with your rating. I love the fact that the original voice was back and how many references there were to other movies. And idk if anyone else noticed, but Liv's dad looked like a mix between Bill Mosely and the dude that plays Jamie in GOT with a very similar voice to Roger Jackson. I'm glad his character survived.
There was wayyyyy too much political commentary but I liked the incorporation of the the diverse cast into the plot. Other than the overdone political commentary, this season was meh
I didn’t enjoy it. I liked certain things (atmosphere, original mask and kills) but I just couldn’t get into the rest of it except for the character of Beth. It’s so frustrating because if you took the storyline of 1 & 2, trimmed the filler fat by reducing the episode count and inject the look and brutality of season 3 then you’d have a solid season.
While overall I enjoyed this season, I was incredibly disappointed with the ending and “the Who done it’s”, it just felt very rushed and unsurprising. Especially after this season’s varying acting which left bits of face-level development and empty characters leading up the big reveal. Beth and Jamal are literally a renovated version of the original movie’s killers Billy and Stu with their same motivation being revenge and the added bonus of movies making better killers. In comparison to the o.g. the reveal in 3 just doesn’t stand up. It feels almost Disney-fied.
I personally enjoyed the 1st and 2nd season alot more as got a lot more attached to the characters and the way everything was set up with the story, season 3 I give a 6.5, most of the characters kind of annoyed me to be honest with the exception Manny, the cop and beth
The unfortunately truth is if that had actually finished the story with the original cast first which I think they should still do and if they had. than this season would have had a better foundation out of the gate! (why is season 2 not on DVD)! Despite them ditching the season 1 and 2 story line I actually did like season 3 and it's watchable but it's not as good as the first two seasons! I really did like Beth and I have mixed feelings about her being the killer and I agree I wish she had lived through the season! I didn't mind the new mask in season 1 and 2 but it was great having the classic ghost face mask back and having Roger L. Jackson back voicing ghost face was great! In the end not an amazing season but it's at least worth a watch, but I really hope they realize they made a mistake and finish the story from season 1 and 2 first before trying anything else!

Hell yea man!!! Freakin spot on review!!!!!
When your review got uploaded i was in the middle of watching this season so i saved your review to my watch list and i just finished the season last night....
If they do have season 4 of scream they will have. 6 more episodes
gay
Evan it’s 2019 and you think that’s an insult, mature
Harry Collins ikr what is he talking about he is very gay
Evan what u chatting mate
Harry Collins I'm talking about Evan he's gay
I agree, I went in with low expectations but it was nowhere near as bad as I thought. Some of the characters were really good, I liked seeing the scream mask back and some of the kills were pretty great too.
Okay but I loved the atmosphere during the scene in Beth's house . It felt like I was watching something from Mike Flanagan
I knew i wasnt the only one who had Urban Legend vibes from Beth 💪
I really liked this season. I enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would. This is how a reboot should be done. The lousy reboot that happened to Fear The Walking Dead completely ruined the show for me.
Awesome video, as always. Thank you ☺☺☺☺☺
Been waiting so long for this season...and I got to say it was worth the wait! Reboots arent always bad..right? Lol
finally.just finally. Tbh i like season 3 but ill admit it does have a few problems with it. Great vid tho. Hopefully we can get the Scream series revisited, the Rob Zombie 3 from Hell trilogy, including the new one when it comes out actually. Well done, Drumdums
I like Roger Jackson's Sinister voice as his acting role as Ghostface in all of the Scream TV film franchise
Me too. Roger is a team player.
TomUngurean nah tyga is a G
@@FREEZING115 I liked my boy Tyga to
Bobby Williams hell yeah pass me da hookah!
Nigga shut up Tyga n Keke were the best actors in this shit
Season 3 was better than the first 2.the first 2 was too teenage drama for me.plus season 3 has the iconic costume and voice back.
Can you please review of American Horror Story series?!
That would be awesome Lee.
I can help you, half the seasons are good and half of them suck.
GayMer_ Freak84 I definitely think this season coming up is perfect for his channel!
@@chriswilson1968 for real I liked asylum the best and I kind of enjoyed apocalypse
Finally someone said it. Beth is a huge redeeming quality of this season!
Yeah it surprised me. And I loved Beth!
I went in thinking I would hate it, but I ended up really enjoying it actually.
Agreed. He was brutal!
Yes she looks so much like Rebecca Gayheart and hoping she will become a regular in this genre!
I thought some of the twists were good and while some of the characters were kind of weak, there were some strong ones as well, especially Beth.
loved this season. Beth was amazing! I agree with everything you said. I do wish they closed season 1-2 even just a TV movie.
I really had a blast with this season.
This was a fantastic review !!
Skate Toon Thank you!!
I thought there was only one season of this show. I had no idea it was still on. I’ll have to give it a watch. Thanks Lee 😊
I liked the new direction actually, and the urban setting.
@@DrumdumsOfficial I wish more fans felt the same.
I didn’t see the Deion/Marcus twist coming, but I saw the rest of them a mile away. I thought overall, it was decent but frustrating especially the way they would have a great setup and then cut away like the “candyman”/ ghostface fight.
This was great, idc who says different. They had a lot of issues with this getting off the ground.
Lee I watched the whole series labor day.
I absolutely love it!
My daughter said she messed ghost face being clumsy...lol.
But I really enjoyed it!
Yeah this surprised the hell out of me actually Tiph. A lot of fun!
Damn you made a lot of great points. I love the urban setting and that it didn't feel forced.
Nick is Dank Awesome thank you Nick. You timed it just right!!
Great review! I was a fan of the first two seasons and I was bummed that they didn’t tie up the story. Because of that I did not catch this season. I may now have to check out the new season of Resurrection.
If they wanted to make a season 4, I would fold the S3 characters into the S1+2 cast
exactly what i was thinking, wouldve been perfect if somehow dion got like a football contract where the cast of season 1 and 2 stayed, bring his girlfriend and mum and had one of them 3 or the originals as the killer! maybe even 2 killers and have some link between the 2 series about how they work together
Scream season 3 like “Stab” movies. Original Scream films casts not return. 🤷♂️
This season went straight to the point as oppose to the other one they kept circling in circles.
its like they made Randy from the movies the killer
Scream tv seris season 1& 2 was great But i like season 2 Better then season 1 and season 3 was my favorite cause they Put the original ghost face mask on season 3
I like that 3 was so different than the first 2 seasons. And loved the killer.
I've never watched this.. but I'm gonna watch the 1st episode of this rn..lol! Thanks!!
Ps. Cant wait to see it this wknd!!!
They said that they are gonna follow the anthology route now.... and I’m excited
Just finished this season and was very annoyed to see it end with a random caller being ignored by Deion. Hope they go somewhere with that.
Why did they even bother changing it? They should’ve just took with the original cast and save us all the bullshit
I did watch all of the season and I just finished watching season 3 of scream and I did enjoy this one but it not near as good as the first two season but I did like Beth played by Giorgia Whigham I didn’t know she will be ghostface after all this time and I was actually surprised when she told Liv played by Jessica Sula about Amir died with the bone saw and I said to myself yep Beth is the killer she just told on herself and I didn’t mind that and I was in shock that Tyga was in this season and he was the other ghostface and Beth killed him too just like she did with the others People and Beth played by Giorgia Whigham I think she was great in this show and she sure is beautiful and gorgeous and I love how she all gothic and I do like that stuff and Jessica Sula did a great job and I think she was beautiful and gorgeous too and she was also in the movie called Split 2017 M Night Shyamalan 2 movie of the unbreakable trilogy and I actually surprised that she was in this show and I think she was great and overall I’m gonna give Scream season 3 a 6/10 stars not a bad season but I do prefer the other 2 season much more better and here is my ranking for the scream tv series show
Scream season 2 2016
Scream season 1 2015
Scream season 3 2019
Here is my ranking of the scream tv show series drumdums and I can’t not believe this is it no more season which it sucks I wanna one more season and bring back the characters from the first two season that I love the characters and that I got attached to from that series season 1&2
Loved the season.. Love your review Lee 🙌🏽
Thank you!
I really wished that the cast from season one and two were is season three. But i thought season 3 was good. My fave season was 2. I was very suprised that Kieran was one of the Killers. I wish that they at least had something to do with Brandon James in Season three. I hope that there will be a season four
What if it’s all a multiverse
So season 1 and 2 was the original plan and what would’ve happened because roman says in scream 3 that scream 2 wasn’t planned. And then season 3 is scream 2 because of revenge and one of the murderers are only doing it because they like murder. So if it was season 4 what would happen? Like a mix up of Randy and Jill’s Real Boyfriend (I forgot his name)
Mine is similar: ruclips.net/video/cMdoOALPJHE/видео.html
Wasnt a big fan but this scream was the first in the urban setting we now got in scream 6. Also, did not know who the killer was at the end so the reveal was good..but sour grapjes about the cliffhanger and unsaid answers
I enjoyed the first two seasons. Couldn't get into this one. Only watched 2 episodes.
I loved the first two season, the characters, and the mask.
Same I didn't really like season 3
I just got into the scream series. Unfortunately season 3 isn't in Netflix here in Canada, where could I go to watch it?
There was so much hate this season, really don’t know why. It wasn’t amazing, but was a really fun slasher series with some great kills.
Because it was politically charged af
Yeah I noticed that, not only that but they made it super stereotypical.Of course you got the black kid from the hood, and the typical rich white kid who is a complete asshole, the black girl who’s “loud and mouthy” with the light skinned girl playing the pretty love interest of course. It was retarded and the racism they threw in there was unneeded and unnecessary.
Because they rebooted a show without finishing the plot threads and it was politically and racially biased as fuck.
Beth is the only character that I like in this season, and if Scream does get renew it will have new actors that we never seen on tv before.
I’d say this season was pretty solid. But if you consider it a movie it’d be better than scream 3. Crazy that scream has 4 movies and 3 full seasons and there’s yet to be anything horrible
On the edge of my seat waiting for that IT Chapter 2 review.
Lori Hackney Hopefully tonight Lori!
Nice video 👍
What would it take for the original first 2 seasons to make a return?? Is it possible??
I dont find this darker at all than the others just my opinion, season 3 was still decent though unfortunately it suffers from alot of misplaced comedy which kinda ruined it for me it was still decent enough though i guess...
As you said they left too many things open from season 2. Had they closed it up in like 3 episodes and not make it a season. Then dropped this one and decided to make an anthology, it would have worked.
Yeah the whole Brandon James story could have come full circle.
@@DrumdumsOfficial EXACTLY!
Really enjoyed series 1 & 2 but glad they finally released this. Was starting to think it had as much hope of coming out as New Mutants.
TakeMyOxygen3 Great point on the tone Karly. It definitely could have been tightened up a bit.
@@DrumdumsOfficial 😂😂 Karlee* sorry my name is complicated lol.
I think they just teased ghostface vs candyman
How
@@StapledSquirrel the actor who plays the hook man also plays Candyman. In one scene they face off.
