I just finished Scream Season 3 TV series! It was actually not that bad! I was convinced Liv was involved even up to the point where she was behind Beth with the flag pole. Great storytelling and great ending. You were right: you don't see it coming and it lived up to the hype!

I do agree with the reveal being the best of all 3 seasons. Like you said it takes till about episode 4 to get good though, which is over the halfway of its season point. I do think they handled the swapping suspicion of who it could be really well throughout the season.
I think this season was good for what it was. I hated not having a conclusion to the other seasons but it was good to me. I honestly love anything Keke Palmer is in lol.
I’ve watched this season a few times, solely because I like looking at Beth and liv. My issue with this season is the killer. I heard an interview once where a horror director was talking about stuntmen and he said if you’re distracted by the stuntman then we’ve done a lot more stuff wrong then just the stuntman we hired. I was distracted by the stuntman this entire season. Deon is the tallest person in a cast full of midgets and he’s only like 5’9. He’s face to face with ghost face several times and you can tell the stuntman is several inches taller than deon is so I could never not see a stuntman. In a related note, even after deon decides that it’s his undead brother, Deon keeps calling ghostface marcus even when he’s alone and has no reason to keep up the act. It’s not like his undead brother doesn’t know that he’s not really Deon. Due to the fact that I was already seeing a stuntman in a suit for 6 episodes, the reveal of 5’2 Beth and, I don’t care what the internet says, 5’3 tyga being revealed as the 6’2 killer was too far for me.
FINALLY! I’m so late to these videos. But thank you for understanding the value that this season offered. It’s definitely underrated it was also the wait time that killed the hype; and in a fandom that predominantly white were expected to have some push back from the audience because we are focusing on the black perspective in this season. It hit differently e side like Kim said most horror movies are “about white people in white spaces making white people decisions” which is true - were use to being in the suburbs with Brooke and friends it’s said but Beth Liv and Deion/Marcus. Beth came outta left field shaking shit up. My wish would be that season 4 they merge the two stories, killing Emma once and for all 😌🔪🩸💯
I will forever love one and two I don’t think nothing can beat that but I’m watching season three right now for the first time I remember when the trailer came out and I was going watch it but I forgot about it and when people say woke I side eye that usually when they say that they’re racist homophobic but cover it up by saying woke I’m on episode 5 and so far I like it I feel like it’s not trash it’s a alright season I just think people feel that way because they love the original characters and the other side are upset that it’s mostly a black cast
Scream season 3 was my fav i love the fact that the story revolved around a jock which was cool and love everyone's characters plus to be honest its always nice seeing variety in the race department
It sucks to see season 3 has the real scream costume and was only 6 episodes. Like wtf? Bring back the old cast and have the season 3 with them with the original Scream costume.
I just finished the whole series myself. Kept trying to start but kept dropping the first season around episode 3 over and over, but I finally did it a few days ago, and was pleasantly surprised! Season 1 really hooked me around episode 7, and from there until it ended I really loved it. I'd give it overall a 7/10. Season 2 started slowly for me, and I tried to give it time to hook me like season 1 did, but it never did. Really hated all the performances in this season besides Brookes, and the killer reveal made absolutely made NO sense and had more holes than a cheese grater. And the last episode felt SO out of place, and yeah. Just didn't like it :/ 3/10 imo Season 3 HOWEVER! I was enjoying season 3 from the start, and i loved it all the way through! Amir was actually my favorite character. He was very obviously autistic and me being pretty sure I'm autistic as well, i just really related to him and felt like he nailed the performance and yeah. I just really liked him. The killer reveal was also REALLY good! Jay and Beth were actually so good they're a new personal favorite duo of mine. Not no.1 but they're very high up there. Have this season sitting at an 8/10 So overall I'd day the show was alright but season 2 really dragged on and brings down my feelings about the show as a whole. I'd give the whole show a 6/10. If i had to rank it amongst the movies I'd probably go: 1) Scream(1996) 2) Scream VI 3) Scream 2 4) Scream 4 5) Scream 5 6) Scream Season 3 7) Scream Season 1 8) Scream 3 9) Scream Season 2
I think the kills in season 3 were more gruesome but the story in fact was trash. There’s a reason why there’s only 6 episodes. And not 12. The story just wasn’t there, the audience did not like that they tried to revamp a show in the third season. I like your review tho. You really go into details on why you feel the way that you do
No I’m sorry I just can’t abode season 3, I actually was rooting for Beth, which never happens in any of the scream movies or TV shows. The characters are always well developed and strong enough to love, but this season was so badly written and acted, I couldn’t do it. Wes Craven is turning in his grave. Also, the fact that you’re like “I don’t understand why they chose Tony Todd to be hook man”. Did you not watch Candyman? It was one of the only cool things that they did in the season. We get to see Candyman and Ghost Face go toe to toe.
Tbh, I had a feeling early on that Beth was the killer and I kinda started to suspect Jay being the second one because of how he is with Deion. Also, Tyga was lazy with his acting so he made it easy for me lol. Beth blew her cover for me after she talked about the concept of a final girl. It seemed way too personal for her. Nonetheless, she’s a Halloween costume I wanna do now lol. I kept thinking that Deion’s mom could possibly be a killer. Maybe she knew Deion was Marcus the whole time and waited for him to confess. Then after all these years, she snaps and decides to taunt him and try and beat it out of him instead and probably recruited Jay to help her out. So that’s what I was thinking would happen and found that more twisted and shocking. I do like Beth though and she makes a great villain.
This was not an easy watch for me. Loved the 1st 2 seasons. Hated just about every character/acting in this show besides Beth. She deserves to be in a film. Loved her in the Punisher show as well
So this might be a bit of an unpopular opinion but for scream one the movie I think they kind of messed up the killer reveal I think they should have made stew the killer but have Billy be the Mastermind that's revealed at the end of the second movie so we have another movie thinking that Billy is all innocent but he's not
Your reviews feel fair and neutral ( when it comes to the scream tv series since these have been the only things I've you review). I liked it season 3 on my first watch. I appreciate the non-biased standpoint you took with it. And yes, Beth was defs the best reveal of this entire series. She had me cracking up most of the time. Have you done a ranking of the best reveals of this franchise?
So I hate to correct people on the internet but I felt like it was a fun thing. Nash was the bully from the first episode and Liv mentions him in the diner when she's convincing Deion that Marcus is still alive. Some of yall may have known that but it was something I didn't catch until viewing #2!
Yea I know they tied him in towards the end but when you’re just watching the first episode knowing nothing about it, he’s some random guy that hasn’t been established at all so it’s like wait Nash Grier?? Why?? Hahaha and then he’s dead
Would love to maybe get reviews of the Resident Evil films from you in the future! (Particularly the first 3, which I've always enjoyed alot for what they are!) I also think the upcoming reboot seems very promising as well 🤘🧟♂️
Okay, SO! I did go back and rewatch and I will admit that it wasn't as bad THIS time around as it was the first time around. I do have a few issues with some of it still. As you mentioned, the 'on the nose' commentary...I feel like it was super important to have this commentary because it is something that isn't really spoken on in the horror genre, but I still feel like (as in the 'I do not have a weapon' example you gave) it was still played for comedy instead of a serious thing. I enjoy that we had Tony Todd and he had an effective part. I will say I wasn't super surprised by the ending though. I thought Liv was too much of a red herring and we couldn't possibly be doing the love interest again. They tried REALLY hard to make you think it and why not? It fits the way the series has always been. Though I will say that it was a fun twist in having it be who it was. I thought for a while we were going to learn that Marcus was alive and in on it somehow. I was kinda surprised to know they were swapped. The kills in this were brutal. The first we see Nash Greer(Spelling could be off because I have NO idea who that is) I didn't realize how gross that was the first time, but he was drowned in his own blood in a pretty sick way and that was pretty unique and a horrifying thing to see. I still think its the weaker season, but I don't HATE it the way I did on first watch, lol. Glad you enjoyed it though.
hahah I'm glad you reconsidered it and gave it another chance! That's all I ask of people with this season. And yea I think with the commentary, the fact that it was played off as funny is why I felt weird about it. I didn't even think about that to be honest but looking back it definitely feels like it was played up for comedic purposes which is weird because it was commentary that demanded a more elevated conversation
I fucking LOVED this season. I agree with much of what you say here, HH. And let me say, as a horror-loving POC, to see a cast largely of color, made my heart swoon. I teach in a school with police presence and metal detectors, so I appreciated this awareness. I didn't mind the more explicit commentary. As we see in this country, if we don't hit people over the head--and even when we do, sadly--we are ignored.
Yes I'm so glad you liked this season!!! It was hard to hear everyone bashing on it, even though there were valid reasons to be upset, it still hurt that the season that finally had black characters as the focus would be the season that everyone hated. I completely agree that this season had the best kills and killer reveal of the entire franchise. I actually have a few fun facts for this season! Queen Latifah was one of the new show runners of this season (she starred in Scary Movie 3) so it made sense to have Keke Palmer and Paris Jackson (who features in the fox series Star with Queen Latifah) also Paris Jackson (daughter of Michael Jackson who's song "Scream" with sister Janet inspired Wes to name the movie Scream rather than Scary Movie) is playing a character named Becky (a combination of Casey Becker and a nod to the infamous connotation associated with the name "Becky" in the black community) The plot with Deion and Marcus switching places could also be a nod to Jordan Peeles "Us" where Lupita's character switches with her doppelganger early on in the film and it's revealed as the twist in the end. Actress Jessica Sula starred in horror movie Split (which is fun that her character was so hot and cold) Keke Palmer did Scream Queens (with Emma Roberts from Scream 4) Tyler Posey who dated Bella Thorne and was in the initial promo for this shows beginning ended up being in it after all. Tony Todd as the hook man giving us fans a Ghostface vs Candyman sequence (much like Freddy vs Jason) with Jordan Peele producing the new Candyman movie. Also thought it was interesting to have Beth and Jamal as the killers (another Candyman nod calling to mind the pairing of a white woman and a black man) wish we would have had more queer representation (which calls to question homophobia in the black community) but overall I also enjoyed this season
I saw the first episode, and I was so intrigued. I tried watching the second episode, but it didn't let me,( I was using vh1 website to watch the first episode). Back then, it worked for the first episode, but when it was time for the second episode, it didn't work. 🥺🥺🥺🥺
Good review. I just couldn't with this season, and I watched the whole thing. Let me just say that it's been a good minute since I've seen it. I do remember thinking the characters were all lame. Even our main character. He was so annoying. They try to make certain characters a little sus, but they fail to do it well. I also thought the reveal at the end was pretty weak. They also set us up for a good opening kill, and fail. The plot just is silly.
If you liked the Scream series maybe check out the series Slasher. Each season is different which is refreshing the latest season was absolutely fantastic
I like this season but after hearing so many opinions and rewatching, I honestly can’t like it any more, all the negatives I hear from reviews, I find in the season. I wish I could enjoy it, I honestly only enjoyed it when I first saw it, but I can’t rewatch it.
For me it's the opposite I watched season 3 1st cause that was just how it played when I started and I actually can't get passed a couple seasons on the other seasons
Just got done watching the Series for a Project I'm cooking up, and just for the Enjoyment itself. Now I'm trying to get a feel for other people's Thoughts, and it's funny; I Find myself agreeing with you in a lot of ways, like even in how my Interest Increased and Died Down in a similar fashion to how your's did. But kinda don't like any of the Endings, though I'm still thinking of 3's being Fresh on my Mind and it's pretty much the Best. This Show feels like a product of Too Many Cooks all working on a Single Dish stuffed with an Assortment of Flavors with varying Relevance/Synergy with eachother. I also feel like it was a lot having Miramax/Dimension and MTV breathing down their Necks; One a Festering Sore that would soon burst and the other a Barely Relevant Shadow of it's Former Self being held up by a few Solid Series, a bunch of Experiments, and SpongeBob keeping Viacom Damn Near Immortal. Anyway aside from a few missed details here and there, these were Great Reviews on each season
It was pure bs. It's not even season 3.. season 3 would've been a sequel to season 2. Oh, and it's made by VH1 so have to deal with their forced ghetto crap.
This was the first time having the lead being a male in the Scream Series.

I think this season was good for what it was. I hated not having a conclusion to the other seasons but it was good to me. I honestly love anything Keke Palmer is in lol.
FINALLY I ABSOLUTELY LOVED SCREAMS3
I really enjoyed season 3, but I also hope they continue the story of the first 2 seasons. They left off on a pretty big cliffhanger.
Just didn't like it :/ 3/10 imo
Season 3 HOWEVER! Have this season sitting at an 8/10
So overall I'd day the show was alright but season 2 really dragged on and brings down my feelings about the show as a whole. I'd give the whole show a 6/10.
If i had to rank it amongst the movies I'd probably go:
1) Scream(1996)
2) Scream VI
3) Scream 2
4) Scream 4
5) Scream 5
6) Scream Season 3
7) Scream Season 1
8) Scream 3
9) Scream Season 2
Now that I’ve seen all 3 of your scream tv series vids, I shall part ways
“Asymmetrical King” the subtle shade was not needed
It’s not shade, there’s nothing wrong with being asymmetrical. Most people are
Also, this is hella late and really doesn't matter at this point but it was Liv who put the knife in Kym's tire, not Deion.
I think the kills in season 3 were more gruesome but the story in fact was trash. There’s a reason why there’s only 6 episodes. And not 12. The story just wasn’t there, the audience did not like that they tried to revamp a show in the third season. I like your review tho. You really go into details on why you feel the way that you do
Season 3 honestly has the best killer reveal of this entire franchise because Beth is just my kind of villain
No same!
And I would say a really good children's horror movie is a house with a clock in its walls and I would really highly recommend that one
I love this Season cuz Ghostface is my fav, so Its great that you were the killer in the season, i did not know you were the killer, i was shocked👍
Loved her in the Punisher show as well
So this might be a bit of an unpopular opinion but for scream one the movie I think they kind of messed up the killer reveal I think they should have made stew the killer but have Billy be the Mastermind that's revealed at the end of the second movie so we have another movie thinking that Billy is all innocent but he's not
Totally agree with u, the problem was that fans were very attached to the lake wood story.
Yea that was my problem for the first two episodes!
Definitely earned a sub I like your reviews
Your reviews feel fair and neutral ( when it comes to the scream tv series since these have been the only things I've you review). I liked it season 3 on my first watch. I appreciate the non-biased standpoint you took with it. And yes, Beth was defs the best reveal of this entire series. She had me cracking up most of the time. Have you done a ranking of the best reveals of this franchise?
Best part in the season is this quote "what the hell is a ghostface?"
I personally didn't care to check out this season out but I'm glad you enjoyed it can't wait to see you continue your Harry Potter reviews
(Particularly the first 3, which I've always enjoyed alot for what they are!) I also think the upcoming reboot seems very promising as well 🤘🧟♂️
Agree I loved it the most I loved the cast and the Plot even though I loved the other seasons and cast I personally feel that season 3 was the best.
Confession, I have never once watch one episode of the scream TV series, after these reviews I think I just might do it
I’m not sure if it’ll be your jam but they’re worth a try!
I liked season 3 but not even close to as much as season 1 and 2. Season 3 was lacking so much
I didn't even think about that to be honest but looking back it definitely feels like it was played up for comedic purposes which is weird because it was commentary that demanded a more elevated conversation
i think season 2 got better kills
Manny was Prince, And Kym Was Michelle
Obama good costumes huh
Beth and Jay were good villians. Killed it. Reveal made sense.. Wow
"killed it"
I fucking LOVED this season.
Giorgia Whigham is good young actress she was from Netflix original show The Punisher
Oh awesome fun facts!! I’ll be sure to bring that up in my series wrap up
It wasn’t even close to being the best unlike the first 2 seasons.
I saw the first episode, and I was so intrigued. I tried watching the second episode, but it didn't let me,( I was using vh1 website to watch the first episode). Back then, it worked for the first episode, but when it was time for the second episode, it didn't work.
🥺🥺🥺🥺
I totally agree with your review and I love your opinions and personality! you got a sub henny hehe more horror reviews please (:
Does this show have any callbacks or Easter eggs to the original series? I might want to watch the movies again if they do
Yea a ton of them. A lot of plot lines also borrow inspiration
@@HauntedHippie oh nice. I assumed it was a show that slapped the Scream brand name on it to get viewers
@@123rockfan there are also a tonnnnn of other homages to classic horror movies, too many to count
I wached this season and i didnt enjoy it that much ill be so real
I actually really like this season as well, lots of cool stuff in it even though it has problems
Yea totally agree!
I F****in Love This Season❤❤❤But Season 2 Will Still Be In My Heart Forever❤❤
After a second viewing I totally had a change of heart. It was way better then I remember , I’ll take this over scream ( 2022 ) any day
Man,its unpopular opinion but to me,season 3 is the best,i enjoyed it so much,i liked all the characters better than s1 and s2 and plus the og mask
True we got the proper mask back
Just got done watching the Series for a Project I'm cooking up, and just for the Enjoyment itself.
Oh, and it's made by VH1 so have to deal with their forced ghetto crap.
can we agree that this type of make up is kinda underrated??
Yes 😳
Ps, you actually aced the look.
👍👍👍👍
Great video! I enjoyed season 3 too. I do want a conclusion to the Brandon James storyline
Ahh same!
More of a Mini-Series than a Season 3really, Scream: Resurrection 🙌🏼
