The show was really ahead of its time when it was created. The more I watch it, the more I like Emma. When the show first aired, I HATED Emma. I found her annoying. But being that I’ve grown and learned more about what PTSD can do to a person, I’ve come to appreciate the writing of Emma’s character. By the end of the season, she really has an awesome arc!
Season 2 imo was way better than season 1. It did alot of things right and had great new characters. Stavo, Zoe and Eli were great additions to the cast. And the kills In this season were some of the best and really dark.
i think season 1 was more grounded. You could feel the character's emotions and you could feel how heavy their losses weighed down on them. For season 2, there is none of that, straight to the point. I liked seeing the characters actually mourning their losses and you could feel that from the music and their body language. When Brooke lost Jake, sure she was mourning, but not in the way like in season 1. It felt better in season 1, with the characters basically being wrecked over their lost loved ones.
I felt disappointed that the show didn’t get to wrap up properly. I appreciate their attempt to create their own mythology but I feel like both seasons the killer was ridiculously obvious
I just finished season 2 and you gotta think the reason information wasn't relayed to each other is because they were manipulated into fighting most of the season. There's good chunks of the season where some of them aren't on good terms.
This was a good show . The other show they made where the black kid and white girl were the killers was the dumbest show lol . Such a crap story of why they did it. This show was great
yeah and i find resurrection as good as we got it. becuz i get ppl frustrations with not properly ending this story arc from season 2 but no excuse to slam the resurrection cast. i think they did good to best of their ability
I watched the show when it originally aired. Still waiting to find out who got Kieran while he was locked up.I would love if they eventually brought the show back, but I would want it to be the original cast/characters. If not the original characters hopefully they could create new characters who are as good or better than the originals.
I’m so surprised you liked Emma’s character. I felt the narrative was fully built around her and didn’t leave enough space for her to grow. I think, to be subversive, every slasher needs a moment where the main character does something we aren’t expecting. Emma never surprised the audience. The narrative drives her story, her character never makes impactful decisions we can’t anticipate. She takes every bit of bait the killers offer and never makes a plan of her own. Even her smart choices aren’t *that* smart. The only personality trait I can think of for her is “tired of the killer’s shit” and I don’t think that counts as development. Hell, she doesn’t even have any extracurricular activities. Personality was very much sacrificed to make her as relatable as possible.
If I took a shot every time I heard Emma say “I’m not playing the killers games anymore” only to IMMEDIATELY play the killers game and fall into his trap, I’d be dead by episode 8
@@s.storumus8620 that's hilarious! Emma has nothing going on as a character. Like, if she stopped playing the killer's game, what else would she be doing? She has no interests, hobbies, or skills.
@@champe0n61 yeah agreed. I watched this show as an 11-13 year old and even I could see how thinly written she was, and how repetitive the character beats became
Losing the original showrunners really hurt this show (and this season). I hated the Kieran reveal and wished they would have stuck with Audrey as the second killer.
i find this season was superior one out of the scream tv series. If i would rank from worst to best i would put 1. season 2 2. season 3, 3. season 1 despite vh1 having shorter season and the kills were rushed. i had good time with the african american cast of scream resurrection despite other ppl opinions on the subject.
I really liked season 2, I find myself always debating whether I liked season 1 or 2 better. There’s a nostalgia factor for season 1 for me tho watching it in summer 2015 that’s one of my favorite summers ever. My biggest complaints about season 2 is I didn’t like how they handled Jake’s death but that’s nit picky and also that Kieran was the killer, I liked him too much for him to be the accomplice and also nothing against the actor but the switch in personality and delivery of the crazy was a little cringey lol.
Jill Blotevogel's and Jaime Paglia's lack of influence over the 2nd season was very obvious. I felt they ran a tight ship during season 1. I still liked the 2nd year overall but wonder how it would have gone had they stayed onboard. No shade against Michael Gans and Richard Register but you could tell lesser-experienced show runners were in charge.
big disagree - imo, season 2 is WAY better than season 1. it has a way better story, way better dialogue, way more brutal kills, and more sympathetic characters.
Big drop? Lol season 2 was the one of the best seasons of a show ever. Much better than season 1. I think season 2 is better than all the movies Oh you think Emma is the best character? That explains it I guess lol
i love the darker, grudgy feel to season 2 season 1 isn't bad but it's decent season 1 is like a 6.5/7 out of 10 and season 2 is like 9.5/10 i can see what you mean by the paste but i like how it goes slow to fast

Lol I can relate Emma annoyed the he'll out of me in s2. I was glad audrey got alot of shine and Noah. By the end tho Emma is an OK character

I prefer season 2. It was way better in my opinion. I was sad about Jake but characters like Stavo and Zoey were great additions.
I disagree with you entirely. Season 2 is way better then 1

The writing was better and more complex. They added a lot of psychological elements to it.

they ruined the audrey plot
Besides a really predicable killer ( it's always someone connect to the main or a friend of him or her.
Season 2 did get a lot more bingeworthy towards the end. However, what happened to Audrey being in league with Piper? The writers forgot!
no they retconned it because the new writers didnt liked audrey to be te killeer

non-canon lmao
I really want a return to Lakewood series
The show was ok
Season 2 is wayyy better in every way. Season 1 felt way more MTV, had terrible dialogue and everyone was a walking stereotype.
Still hate the first two seasons but I respect your opinion and like your content. Subscribed.

I liked Audrey
Aceea the tv series ha 3 seasons, so yea this îs seasons 3
