I like how Dachamp left out the whole plotline where Tanya's arguing with God the whole time. God literally sends him/her to a world where the magic system relies on prayer.

Man this why anime it just got gold, I've heard that in the light novels she uses magic to produce a meth-like effect on himself while in combat zone, but she not just killing people with a grin, she was killing them while high as most extreme.

She cast a Power Up spell that she describe is feel like doing Meth but she does take drug later in the novel to stay awake to fight in 36 hour+ battle
yeah she take narcotics to subdue the pain of recoil from the gun also.
But at the same time they pretty stupid and every main character always gotta be stupid overpowered

Tanya is straight up terrifying. She knew that no one in that capital would take her announcement seriously with her littlw girl voice, so she just used it as an exuse to bomb their capital and civilians without TECHNICALLY committing a war crime. Cause she did announce the attack

The context for the 2 soldiers who got killed in the arty tanya expected: the two charged forward and ignored her orders with the reason being: they would gladly give their lives for the empire and rather die than to follow a coward's ( or something ) orders
So tanya sent them to the rear where she knows its a arty target so "they get their wish fulfilled" where they die for their country
In the light novel she just had them removed from her platoon to prevent discord..the fact they got sent where they did and bombed out was pure happenstance..the anime really cranked up her cruel side more than it originally was in the original source, and the fact she is colder and more distant to Visha who she actually likes and is happy to have her help in the light novel and manga.
@@ShinKyuubi don't know about it since i have not read the novel version, but since the vid uses anime version, that's the context of the anime version of events.
While she did not know the actual locations of where enemy is gonna arty, she knows the rear is where the heavy focus is and so she dispatched them there. She indirectly got them killed by dramatically increasing the odds of them getting shelled ( without prep or protection like their mage equipment no less ).
I like the anime version of willing to go all in of her evil side though. It shows thoroughly her cold calculating side and makes it consistent. It held no bars in showing her as a villan; she is not someone we can empathize with ( even when being X is pretty much the same as her in a sense ).
I've also heard a few people note that typically, the gung-ho types that disobey orders because they "are willing to do anything it takes to win" are exactly the types that end up getting other people killed. And Tanya's main priority was and always is not to get killed, so those guys had to go away.

"hey, ik history with these guys. we already completed our mission but how about we do something special for u." cut to them singing the anthem and then filming the music video with visha as the main singer. so i think they reduced their rapport and good vibes between the 2, but its still pretty obvious much of the time. she likes her ingenuity and ideas and ofc most of all the fact shes saved tanyas i think 10 yr old ass (9 when she joins the army and nearly kills the kid in exhibit A) at least 10 times by the end of season 1 and the movie, XD lol
Tanya's origin alone makes her terrifying.
While i liked how CJ changed part of the lore in this video, the train scene in anime was even more crazy due to the context- when the guy who became Tanya got pushed into the tracks and time froze, that was because Being X (basically God in this anime) paused time to give him a chance to repent... but he just started criticizing Being X, calling him an "incompetent manager"
The man was literally offered a second chance at life by God if he stopped being an atheist, and he decided to instead talk shit- so Being X got petty and reincarnated him into a world where he would be forced to worship him to survive.
Pretty much sums it up just foegot the Rational side that plays a part in lots of his decisions

Her idea with the crazy training was to get them all to quit as her entire idea for joining the military was to get a desk job and cushy retirement. I really suggest reading the manga or novels for this one, Tanya is basically parody of Ain Rand's philosophy and the author really knows his history (exhibit b was the firebombing of Dresden the reason for the artillery was to fill the streets with flammable material).

So basically she puts on a little kids voice when telling the people the need to evacuate (due to war laws for not hurting civilians and if they have to bomb a place to tell civilians to stand clear) but since she is sounding like a small kid all the civilian think it a prank and don't listen.... then she just nukes them (also the teammates were surprised by the voice cause she usually sound like a demonic possed kid not sweet little Susie from down the street)

(Around 14:54) Fun fact this character is meant to be a direct Eren Jaeger allegory, so much so that his character design is *apparently* a near identical trace job over a frame of Child Eren in the same position, looking up at the destruction caused by their enemies with a vengeful look that said "I Will make you pay for this eventually". Which is why Tanya wasn't taking chances and said "clap them start up revenge machines before they get the chance" absolutely brutal thought process and actions but can't fault that logic after looking at said inspiration's final act being The Ultimate Revenge.
They missed some of the best parts, the avalanche actually killed that dude, the kick re started his heart, and the soldiers in her squad are so scared of her that one of them missed a target, and instead of facing Tanya he took out a bomber with nothing but a bayonet
Also fun fact the reason she looks like a lunatic in combat is because she uses Amphetamines in combat. Which was actually a tactic used in militaries (notably Nazi Germany in WW2) to increase alertness
I'm pretty sure that scene with Tanya in the "Russian" capital was supposed to be something like a reversal of how the Soviets filmed the sacking of Berlin. They even have the shot of them planting the flag on the capital building.
I was so curious about the anime and I can confidently say that this girl is a absolute demon
The video is not a very good representation of Tanya.
She is extremely lawful evil. She is very by the book, but she will stretch & bend every doctrine in that book & exploit any possible loopholes. She is also very rational, will follow orders, doesn't take well to anyone who won't follow orders, & will do everything possible to ensure her survival & advancement, sometimes to her own detriment. Her strategic brilliance works against her because it eventually gets her sent right back to the front lines, which isn't what she wants. She wants a nice comfortable office job in the rear, but higher command sees her as too valuable of an asset to take off the front lines because she is just too damn effective of a soldier & leader for her own good. Her soldiers are so damn battle hardened that they fear her more than death simply because they believe that she won't even allow for them to die (they thought that she revived the guy that was buried in the avalanche, when basically all she did was a rough Heimlich Maneuver). Everything she does, no matter how atrocious or cruel it may seem, is always done with sound rational logic (which she is usually right when all is said & done) & that's what makes her scary.
Yes. After watching CJ, I found this on Crunchyroll and watched the whole thing and the movie. She’s a demon because she is an efficient pencil pusher. She’s good at her job.

Her flyers that she was ordered to put out were intentionally made to dissuade people from volunteering (constant danger, crap pay, etc), but she still had a bunch of volunteers. Then she washed out so many soldiers beforehand that her superiors made her lower her standards just to fill up her unit. Her training was done in a manner to scare them all into quitting, but instead it made them tougher simply because they were that afraid of her. The only one that was actually assigned to Tanya's unit was the female lieutenant. She knows Tanya so well that before they were getting bombarded for 36 hours, she was the only one who immediately started digging her foxhole while Tanya was talking to the unit & before the shells started falling.

so the best part about it all is that the main tanya didn't belive in god so god esekai'd him and reincarnated him as tanya so he was being forced by god to use her powers she needed to pray so the god is good sound effect hits different when you really notice that cj did his research and it shows even in his sound choices!

Honestly, this whole series is an alternate history lesson and a half. The manga is really worth a read to fill in more details to each episode but the novel is a full commitment.
i have them saved and their my next read after my current novel im reading. a few chapters left so i read novels for the long haul anyway. so ill b fully committed to finishing the masterpiece that " hi im tanya, this is my story of how i conquered the world and won against god." XD lol

The girl glassed a desert nation's millitary all so she could get some decent pasta.
Not just for her, but for her troops as well. Keeping morale high is a very important job for a military leader in a combat zone, & eating good food is the easiest way to accomplish that. Ask anyone in the US Navy how good food keeps them happy when they are out at sea for months at a time either on a ship or submarine.
@@TheNightOwl11683 I agree. An old saying goes (I think Napoleon Bonaparte said it) "An army marches on its stomach". Entire military campaigns have failed because the troops did not have enough to eat or whatever they could eat tasted terrible. Many strategies in history involved destroying food, "scorched earth", and blowing up field kitchens.
Tanya was just lucky that she has a small mobile force to feed and has equipment to fly so she doesn't starve like the cannon fodder. That pasta must have been like treasure.
This channel has really blown up since early last year. Congrats.
I like how the show is just a middle age man in a little girls body blowing up people and killing families with no moral compass at all, like the guy went from taxes to war crimes

It's even more tragic than that. If you look at his death scene (before Isekai ) God or a being called god debates him on its existence. God sends this man to a world where they have to pray to use magic in order to force him acknowledge it's existence. Not only that she was a talented orphan so the military scooped her up super young . They even experiment on her .The whole time Tanya is avoiding the war and trying to save prevent it (albeit in cold ways), while God is forcing her into situations so extreme she has to resort to brutality and prayer (sarcastically). She literally submitted a report that would've have stopped the war and they ignored her , so the second season is her being thrusted back out in combat again. God in this anime be on some Vecna/it type of shit too.

She does have a moral compass. It's just completely dominated by sheer rationality & her ruthless pursuit to a high ranking job in the rear lines. Case in point is her hatred for communism. She believes that it devalues human lives, which in itself is a waste of valuable resources. She doesn't want to lose her soldiers under her command in combat because it will look bad on her record. She organized Operation Desert Pasta to cover their intentions, but did so in a way that she doesn't have her superiors questioning her motives, caused great damage to the enemy's supply chain, & got her troops to eat like royalty in a combat zone because she knows that keeping the morale of her soldiers high is important to keep them motivated to fight.

I seriously did not realize you have not watched this series. I just seemed like such a perfect fit for this channel. This video was great, but man, it skipped so many things! It didn't even talk about the time the entire special forces squad had to go all out to have a spaghetti dinner. Or how the entire reason the isekai happened is because God got petty when the businessguy told him "Nah, you ain't real", while God was stopping time with him about to get rolled over by Thomas the Tank engine. God send him to a world where Tanya would be forced to pray to Him to survive, and Tanya just kept on "Nah, God ain't a thing, y'all".

Yeah...little context here for some early parts of the vid, the dude that got fired? He was also doing drugs, and this is JAPAN, if you get FIRED outright FIRED you REALLY screwed the pooch in some major way. When dude got Isekai'd he met and talked to God who tried to get him to believe but dude basically said that due to the way the world was there was no way he could be God so he was calling him Being X and outright hates having to pray to him for power once he becomes Tanya..as God isekai'd him to make him believe in him by turning him into a girl, since he was a man, putting him in what amounts to Germany in between WW1-2 as far as things go because he was from a modern world where he knew no personal strife, and gave him magic instead of all the technology he was used to.
When Tanya was doing the scouting mission and started laughing after being told she had to hold them off until backup could arrive? She enhanced her body with magic..it was literally called Magical Doping in the manga complete with a chant she did, and mentioned as something she did in the original Light Novel so she's high as a fucking kite on magical steroids at that point. She JUST wants a peaceful life in the rear/a desk job to spite God for sending her to this world...but everything she does to try and get there backfires because it makes her look MORE patriotic and war hungry because she believes in signaling theory. The anime actually cranks her bad traits higher such as being cold to her direct underling Visha..who in the manga and light novel she is actually quite happy to have around and in the manga when God shows Tanya the life that could have been when she was still a man in Japan, he is shown with a girl that looks exactly like Visha as the girl he marries and has a family with.
Also fun fact:The Japanese VA for Tanya sings the ending them Los Los Los! in character and she is also the voice actress for Clementine in the Overlord anime...a.k.a that crazy psycho bitch that collects adventurer tags and puts them on her armor and tries to stab Ainz in the eyes...and then gets the bear hug from hell in the fact Ainz LITERALLY squeezes her in a hug to the point her organs spew out of her mouth in the light novel...she dies horribly and in fear as she tries to batter her way free and chips a tooth trying to bite his skeletal head. The sheer insanity in her voice when she fights him is pretty amazing as her voice warbles in anger when she thinks he's looking down on her before he reveals his true form.

@Arceus Almighty OH yeah, in the manga and light novel she's not as distant and likes having her around, at one point she wanted he to not be on the front line but Viska stuck by her. When Being X/God shows the life he could have had back in his old world the girl he sees himself having a family with and growing old with looks exactly the same as Viska in the manga.

Tanya actually DOESN'T want a war and just wants a peaceful life to spite Being X for sending him to the world and turning him into a girl and thus considers Being X the 'villain' and Mary Sue is given power to combat Tanya as a way to force Tanya and the world as a whole to believe in deities again..as other ones are shown such as one that looks to be based on an deity from India. The ENTIRE reason the guy who became Tanya is where is is is Being X/God wanted him to become a believer at the moment of his death...dude didn't and got isekai'd as a "well okay then I'll MAKE you a worshiper"

18:31 actually they didn't "do nothing." Tanya and her Battalion were sent to do recon along the Russie Federation's border because suspicious activity was seen along their borders. The night of her Recon mission the Russie Federation invaded the Empire, and it was a huge invasion, with the Empire in the retreat on nearly every part of the front line. The following day Tanya and her Battalion makes a surprise visit to the Russie Federation's Capital. So no the Russie Federation didn't do nothing, they totally invaded the Empire and were actually the aggressors in this scenario.
