I am annoyed they didn't keep Ivan's "I need vodka" line. Also should have had Brian Blessed do a fake Arnie accent throughout. Can't really complain though, its Brian Blessed.
Remember, the henchman you do not choose, will become angry towards your organization! I didn't hear those details in this, so I wonder if that happens with your first initial henchman recruiting.
I sincerely hope they could be dealt with as for "super-agents": covert op to find their weakness, and clever trap/boss fight in your lair It would actually be a heck of a letdown to just have to send a few minions and automatically get the job done

I.R.I.S does look somewhat like a robotic "Number 2" from the original's tutorial. I always thought she would have made a good henchman ... woman. She looks incredibly useful in this one. I always did like to have a nice mix of brute-force Henchmen and the more ... subtle types. Lord Kane always had a place. Probably because I always used Shen Yu, come to think on it ...
I feel like Red Ivan being the most stout, & combat oriented Genius is really fitting with him being a former Henchmen. Edit: Honestly i feel like Eli is probably the best starter henchmen, he is well rounded, with both a more subtle pre-emptive ability, and a more... aggressive back up plan. That's what I'd say I'd want in a starter Henchmen, but to each their own.
Eli is great for early game defense. jubie is awesome for mid game when your base has grown sprawling and symmetry spawns in the basement. The fan is decent at dealing with superagents. And finally, iris is a good first choice just so you can avoid her questline. Hers and incindio have the most destructive quests as far as i can tell.
He probably died during the timeskip. He was pretty darned old in EG1 afterall. And if enough time has passed for Jubei to grow old, I can't see Kane still kicking around.

I think that after a big battle, there's gonna be too many bodies to carry, why do you think the minions in EG1 didn't leave any bodies, to prevent a huge pileup of bodybags in the game. I'm guessing that they're planning some upgrades to speed up bodybag disposal in EG2, or that we need more incinerators.
I think I will be choosing either I.R.I.S or Janet Bombe because they are both technology based and I like the idea of having a hacker or a robot that was built by a 6 year old (Zalika)
If Lord Kane isn't around, then I'm really going to miss that world-weary conspiracy master, with his " Maggots. Dead is all they deserve. " attitude. He was truly unsettling, which is exactly what you want in a henchman. Cold, ruthless, and deadly: the only thing that could have improved him was a " Step Out of the Shadows " teleport power, like Jubei's Windwalk, but creepier.
He'd probably dead because of old age. But on the other hand, since his tactis involve messing with other agents heads through fear or persuation, he might work as a ghost henchman. Plus, I'd be amusing to ask him about the titanic and he gets angry and says it was an accident and people should get over it.
I am sure Rebellion hid the defense stats of each henchman. On hard difficulty, Jenette dies faster than minion while Iris is super tanky (even without using her ability). Iris can tank 3-4 investigators at once. Espectro can tank about 2 investigators at once. Janette cannot tank even one.
I've seen a few people talking about Max being still so young while Jubei is so old but my question is where is Kane? Eli's son is here so apparently Eli lived to have a kid, Jubei's an old master, but if I recall correctly the lore for Kane was that he had been around since before the evil genius' was rumored to be the biblical Caine and was believed to be immortal. Here's my theory, Shen Yun was the villain who built the ID eliminator but before he could use it Kane (who in story was a machinator on the level of or surpassing the villains) killed him and is the one who is really secretly running the world.
i realized you can make them as temporary partnership and they act like normal minions, i dont know if they able to use their abilities or not in that state... i wonder is it possible to recruit them all? it just nice to have them all in my lair...
Well practically EVERYONE who has played the game says the exact same thing: Jubei. You absolutely NEED Jubei in order to get by early on as the balancing is leaving a lot to be desired and his mobility+prowess is a very welcome boost. I do hope Rebellion is addressing the many concerns on that.

Buff? seriously? his Eviscerate was the best skill in the game combatwise. Smooth operator from Lord Kane was the best all around skill. now its like a joke... im willing to bet there is going to be a lot of bad back jokes..

I like Maximilian, but I may go with Ivan. However the choices for henchmen is really hard. I'm interested in Janet since she may be really really useful at the start when you lack manpower, just sending them back home without any evidence. But IRIS does so too. And so does Eli and Jubei, two favorites from the old game imo. This video made chosing harder. And I hate you for it. Evil.

I played this part of the game and I chosen Janet bombe mostly because I hate an going to kill a investigator he or she escape and when I destroy their Evidence it makes them freeze in place not only that the investigator goes back!
I'll be honest, playing as Red Ivan, Janet Bombe is absolutely *WORTHLESS.* I wish I could get rid of her and pick someone better, or at least automate her abilities!
I have the same problem. I just use her as bait. Send her to fight Olga, Ivan uses rocket launcher since she won't die anyways. But they will. I find she is useless all around. Have yet to see the munition thing working, and it's no point lowering the suspicion of one single person at a time
The only issues as the other user said, were Denuvo and season pass. Season pass tough is about a potential new mastermind alongside other stuff so, all the other four masterminds plus the base game remain complete.
Eli is fine He’s a generalist so he kind of gets out classed in the late game especially by fugu So I never really pick them up because I like Iris more and I will never do her recruitment quest because it is annoying (exploding robots suck)

There are only 4 henchmen? And you can only pick one? It has been a while, but i seem to recall the original having a bunch of henchmen, like 10 or more and I think you could have 2 or 3 of them at a time right? Wonder why they toned that down... Kind of disappointing. I also would've loved an alternative style to get a boost to your minions rather than picking up a henchman at all.
You seem confused you get multiple henchman this video about your first choice. In first game you could get 7 i think its about the same in this one as well but its tied to your notoriety.

Anyone else a little disappointed that the "Samurai" henchman acts more like a monk, and despite being called "The Swordsman" he doesn't have a sword.

For a robot, IRIS is easy on the eyes. And Jubei is pretty cool. A kinda noble demon if you ask me.

It has been a while, but i seem to recall the original having a bunch of henchmen, like 10 or more and I think you could have 2 or 3 of them at a time right? Wonder why they toned that down... Kind of disappointing. I also would've loved an alternative style to get a boost to your minions rather than picking up a henchman at all.
You seem confused you get multiple henchman this video about your first choice. In first game you could get 7 i think its about the same in this one as well but its tied to your notoriety.
