- House of the Dragon Season 2 has taken us to the Riverlands and Harrenhal and there are some very interesting things going on around the Gods Eye. In this video I dive deep into the Lore to see whats really going on at Harrenhal with Daemon Targaeyn and Alys Rivers. Daemon and Alys are both in Harrenhal and Daemon is having weirwood dreams but is Alys there meddling with Daemon in the same way that Jojen meddled with Bran, Or in the way The Ghost of High Heart meddled with Prince Duncan and Jaehereys and Rhaegar Targaryen? @brooklyncurrys based on the fact that he disappears at the isle of faces, the fact that his great grandson is the greenseer before bran, his body is never found, the parallels between him and bloodraven, and the seemingly bloody weirwood paste he drinks at Harrenhall which really seems to parallel jojen paste I think there's a chance he is the greenseer before blood raven.

This storyline about Daemon Aemond & Alys is the most fascinating to me. From Daemon’s whole demeanor change to Aemond being almost like under a spell. Glad to see the show go the mystical route & mentioning Daemon’s dreams. I hope the show continues the magic & dreams. Who knows maybe at the end Daemon will end up as the 3 eyed crow

This is a pretty good theory. However, you're forgetting something about visions and dreams within the world of ice and fire. They're never cut and dry. They are usually fragmented and very much open to interpretation. Melisandre says as much when she brings John back to life. It's likely that Alys didn't tell Aemond about his death simply because she didn't know about it. I do agree with your theory about Nettles being Leaf and Daemon surviving and becoming the 3 eyed raven. Blood Raven had to be trained by somebody himself, and Daemon makes sense. They're basically the same person, and I don't believe that's a coincidence on GRRM's part.
I love the magical elements of GoT. There's such an air of mystique about them due to how unexplored they are.
JS....George R. R. Martin admitted that his favorite Targaryen is indeed Daemon, and he briefly went into detail as to what made Daemon stand out to him so significantly. It's common for authors to become attached to their characters regardless of how they're written, and regardless of what the Targaryens have done throughout the Game of Thrones universe, Martin has admitted that Daemon stands out above the rest.

Add to this the crown Daemon wore that he gave up to Viserys… foreshadowing if it was made out of weirwood but maybe it was just some other substance. I love the idea of the Rogue Prince being the next 3 Eyed Raven… that children of the forest cave that Arienne finds could have been used in the show, like if they lose the Long Night at Winterfell and flee to regroup in that cave network at the God’s Eye… just random thoughts…

Say what you will about Ep 03, but I am LIVING for all this Harrenhal content. It's my personal favourite Westerosi castle and it's full of lore and mystery, and I'm glad it's getting the love it deserves. I love the cinematography of season 2 as well, it really adds to Harrenhal's character, this hauntingly beautiful castle

Well if Alys Rivers is 400 years old potentially. Melisandre was 400 in GOT so that can't be her. Although it's possible I think it's someone similar to melisandre but not Melisandre herself. Although how cool would it be if it was Melisandre!

If Daemon did become the 3 eyed crow before blood raven maybe they meet in the north like bran met blood raven and Daemon-crow gets bloodraven to trust him by telling him not to cut him down with his own sword. I just want more Dark Sister lore.

That possessive in Knight’s tells me that the King was chosen by his men, or his knights. He’s their King. If we look at Daemon, he was the “King” of his men. Even though they didn’t call him King, the majority remained loyal to him. It wasn’t because they feared him like they did Blood Raven, it’s because he was always taking care of his men. He wins the River Lands by being with them at Harrenhall and working beside his men. He listens to them and wrangles their crazy asses in! 😂😂
I agree Nettles will be in the show. They've teased her in the bars and brothels in each season. She walks in before Ulf you see her black curly hair from behind.
My choice for Nettles is Delaney Hayles who played Claudia so masterfully in season 2 of Interview with the Vampire 🧛♂️. I saw some familiar character traits of this beloved fan favorite especially during her ill-fated trial. Her chemistry with Matt Smith would be palpable to see on screen.

It's the dragon blood Alys Rivers like not Aemond himself. The Prince that was Promised has to be equal blood of fire and blood of Ice. Basically a child of Targaryen and Stark.
It would make sense considering if the knight king was a stark to begin with. Then his blood and the blood of the dragon mix, because we already know

It’s crazy, this man (Harren the black) built probably the greatest castle Westeros (maybe even the world depending on what the five forts are truly like) had ever seen and didn’t build not one, NOT ONE dragon crossbow (those big crossbow looking things used to kill dragons used by Cersei, Euron and even the Greens on the latest episode of HOTD). During a time when a family still had known dragons in the world. The man deserved what he got lol

This was a great video. Love how knowledgeable you are about the deep lore. Definitely curious to how Daemon’s story plays out. I took Alys words to mean the show was taking the most simple route. We’ve talked about him before and while my theory is a lot simpler than yours I do believe it holds merit.

@@tiffanyd124The dragons represent death and rebirth in mythology. Also the death is metaphorical instead of literal. If Daemon dies to his old self, and survives the fight at The God’s Eye, then his death is to self, and his resurrection to becoming the 3 Eyed Raven.

Bran should've never left the Tree,
He was meant to be The Three-Eyed Raven, not the king.
He was neither physically nor mentally fit to be king.
His body was broken and his mind stayed in the Tree, even after his body was taken out.
Westeros should've been Rulerless for a generation.
Bran had no choice in leaving the tree. The Night King and white walkers and the army of the dead were literally chasing him.

I don't particularly want Nettles to be a secret child of the forest or whatever. In fact, I quite like the idea that she's not even part Targaryen; but trains Sheep Stealer the hard way, buy befriending and feeding this intelligent creature until it forms a genuine bond with her (Like Hiccup).

if the children didn't take kindly to r'lhor, what did they think of the foreigners from valyria who worshipped their own set of gods? if the ghost of high heart is indeed a child of the forest, why did she tell a targaryen king that his descendant will become the prince who was promised, which is a prophecy that came from the worshippers of the red god. if the children hate r'lhor, why did one of them gave directions to the targaryens? what were they really planning? and why is she mad that arya?
I think they just don’t like their fire magic and their magic doesn’t work in the Riverlands. Which is why she says you won’t See anything here. Well the only ones that brought the andals to heel were the Valyrians

Another crucial point is held within the story of the weirwood knight. Remember? Leanna stark may have gone to the gods eye at that one tourny. When howlan reed was being bullied? It could really show a long term tie to the old gods, the gods eye, and leanna stark as a sort of consort of the old gods.
I think maybe a simpler explanation rather than daemon being a full on greenseer is mayhaps Alys gives him a warning, or tells him on some way "when you fight aemond on dragonback, don't strap yourself in." I think it would be awesome to see her give daemon this warning sometime soon in the show.

First Men has always been too vague a term. I'm of the thought that CotF blood is more important. House Massey is ancient. So old a house that an entire geographic area is named for them - Massey's Hook. And their sigil: you don't get a sigil that corresponds to the Trident for no good reason. And you definitely don't get one corresponding to a Triskelion, one of the most ancient symbols in human history, for no good reason. They are as likely a candidate to have CotF blood in them as any other FM house.
