@@ChaseYokoyama It did, thank you! I had a cheapo amazon carry on that got destroyed after two trips. Gotta invest in a stronger one like the one you reviewed.
Great review. Wish they made it carry on compliant with all international airlines. Only hesitation in purchasing is potential (likely) damage from being forced to check
fair enough. I will say that poly carb suitcases usually do hold up in check in (at least dent wise) but scratches are another story which is common amongst any checked baggage
Love the very detailed review! Wanted to ask if you could also do a review from the Lufthansa Aluminium Collection Trolley S. The price and features are pretty similar maybe a comparison would be appropriate (yes it's made out of aluminium).
Nice review! Watched both reviews of the Rimowa and the Carl Friedrik and have a few questions. Why did you end up this and which one do you like more? How do you compare this to Rimowa?
thanks for watching! 🤙🏽 hoenstly taking price into consideration, I think the carl friedrik is the winner. im sure they are comparable in durability, I think the wheels and handles feel close enough. The Rimowa looks cooler but that's subjective and also does not justify the huge price difference. I just wish the carl friedrik came with 2 compression methods instead of having to pay for one.
@@ChaseYokoyama This luggage seems to be super expensive. Does the price and quality would you say? Or is there could be found similar or better luggage with significantly cheaper price?
@@Walhall1 if you are looking specifically for a polycarbonate luggage with an aluminum frame, then yes I think this would be a solid option that lasts a while. However if budget is a concern I might suggest looking into a full polycarbonate luggage because it will be much cheaper.
These are such great and thorough reviews! Thank you, so helpful. If it were you, would you choose this over the level8 Hegent? Seems like the Hegent is almost as good though slightly heavier for half the price.
Seems like they have since dropped the price of an additional compression pad to $25: link.chaseyokoyama.com/Carl-Friedrik-Carry-On-Suitcase
apparently it in Europe it costs only 5€, making it 500€ (495€ for the suitcase)
Pain. Buying one in 2025 and they raised the price of the carry on +$50 and no longer offer the option to buy an extra compression pad :,)
First great review I see. Thanks dude!
no problem. Thanks for watching!
This looks nice and sleek 👌🏼 I actually like the leather in it. It’s a nice little touch
The review I never knew I needed
i hope it helped

@@soapa4279 well i hope you never have a poor quality carry on again.

would you get this colour again or would you choose a different colour?

thank you for watching! Unfortunately I don't think I will be making more luggage review videos anytime soon
Hi.Thanks for your review.Would you recommend please the color of Carl’s suitcase which is more resistant to scratches or just less visible? Thanks
the darker colors tend to do better at that. So in this case, either black of navy

The issue is no international carry-on.
Quick question, do you think it is worth to buy if I want luggage to use rest of my life? Which I hope will be additional 50 years at least.
TBH 50 years is a long time so I can't guarantee most luggages lasting that long
