Hey Desmond, great review as always. I actually recently purchased and used the Carry On that Carl Fredrick did with Hackett London and it worked fantastic albeit a lil bit tighter than I expected. I’m still in my 100 day trial and my question is do you think the laptop sleeve (the Pro or X part of the Carry On) is worth upgrading to? Does it eat into the space that the main usable part of the suitcase? Thanks!
I think it’s definitely worth considering. What I like about the laptop pocket is that even though it uses some of the interior space - there is room designed for expansion outwards. So as long as i pack the suitcase first - I always find room for flatter items like laptops, charging bricks, notebooks etc. It also takes those items out of my main personal bag - and reduces the weight. So even when i need to grab my laptop when I’m at the lounge or destination - i have just as much access to it as long as my carry on-X is with me.
@@MichaelTaylor-ll1up hey. Thank you! The bag is made by Von Baer - they make really high quality leather bags. I’ve got a review of this briefcase on the channel. But def worth checking out. One of the softest and well designed briefcases I’ve tested
Great review. I'm also looking at the Victorinox Airox Business, any thoughts on the comparison? I don't believe it has the external pocket for laptop, which is an advantage for the CF if you need access to laptop quickly and easily (eg at airport security)
I placed one 16" MBP and one 13" IPA in the front pocket, finding it secure and relatively snug in CF. I'm concerned that stacking carry-on with other bags might damage the items in July. If just placing one MBP or just one iPad. both CF or July are fine.
If size and weight aren't a concern, I prefer CF much over July; but they are in different price categories. July is acceptable if getting July one below US$290. The all comments above based on requiring front pocket. If not, I would go for Samsonite C-Lite Carry-On Spinner; it's really light!

Hey Desmond, fabulous review. Question: Who makes the leather bag shown at 17:56?

What color is this? I see green shade but I can't find anywhere. Thank you

I really want to buy it but I have heard the handle breaks easily
Fantastic review, thanks👍🏻😄
Have you tried the compact weekender? genuinely the best all round bag I’ve ever had
How does this compare to July?
July is a bit lighter.
CF PC is more scratch-resistant than July, and Monos.

July adheres to international carry-on dimensions, while CF falls in a gray area, varying by airline and destination.
