Just as a heads up this technique using a denman brush most likely won’t work if you have strictly 2a-2c strictly wavy/loose wavy hair. I do have a loose curl pattern or some 3a curls forming. This just aids in helping train those curls through transitioning after heat or bleach damage (that I am still trying to grow out and later cut off)
As always, what works for me may not work for others. I’m just here to share what gives me good results.

As you can tell the TreLuxe products gave me amazing definition and shine!

Here are some suggestions: favorite products/best cheap products, how to balance your hair's moisture and protein, and best haircuts for different hair types
It seems like a huge part of your results are based on your cut more than just your process. Since you are a stylist, would you be willing to do a video that discusses your cut? There are not a lot of haircut videos for 2c/3a hair.
Yes! I would like to know more about the hair cut too!!!Tutorial/explanation would be awsome!
Yes please! This would be so helpful
Yes i was just going to ask what haircut you have. Please do a video about it.
Yes! I was totally going to ask this...👍🤞
Jay Jar agreed
oh my gosh ..... the way your hair went from the way it looked staright outta the shower to after diffusing is CRAZY!!! That look totally pops for all the patience you had to style it. Great goin' :)
Oh my, your hair looks beautiful, so healthy and soft, beautiful curls!
My hair is just like yours. It doesn't really look curly until it's dry.
Your hair looks so beautiful!!!
That is just fantastic! I love how it turned out!
I’ve been doing very similar for years with my long curly hair but have to say I like the length of your hair and looks fabulous
Thank you! Your curls are gorgeous ☺️
Ur technique is soo easy and comfortable.... I'm gonna try this method
Wow the ingredient list sound great! Good video, thanks for sharing! 🙏🏻
Your results are AMAZING!!!!!!
Looks great, thanks for sharing. Will be trying this.

What an amazing transition of your curls with your wet to dry routine! I purchased my first Denman brush a few months ago and I am still practicing. I just turned 70 and I looked like a Victorian school girl with banana curls after using. Not the look I was going for. LOL! I am thinking I need to get a better haircut. I have not had any layers cut in it for almost 2 years and while it’s pretty....I am thinking layers might free up some more curl. It’s SO hard to find someone who really knows and understands my curly hair since every single one of us has a different pattern/texture/density etc! I have a new stylist (who also has curly hair herself) and she just did a trim for the first time she cut my hair....and I am due to go back for something more “substantial”. Would love to hear your thoughts about layers and curly hair! I enjoyed your video, well done! Thanks!
I have a video over my haircut. Otherwise put some oil on your hands and carefully split up big curls so they aren't huge clumps.
Your hair is drop dead gorgeous!
Woah! I would never put a brush to my hair but I've heard about this and your curls look amazing!!! I'll have to try it and possibly do a video as well! Thanks!!
I went years (at least 15 years) without brushing or combing my curls beyond just my fingers. My hair stylist introduced me to the denman brush about a year ago & it changed my life. I only use it to distribute product & make sure all my curls are nice & smooth. It helps with clumping & getting my hair parted well & my hair in the direction I want it styled (if that makes sense).
Gonna try this for my 3A hair!
Your hair is GORGEOUS
New subscriber due to your protein treatment video 👍🏽
I have the 7 row denmin brush and just loved your tip on coiling with it. I don’t care for finger coiling cause it takes me forever but will try it your way with my denmin. Thanks
Your hair looks soooo beautiful 😍
Interesting technique. I like it! Hair looks great!
Your curls are so adorable. Thank you for a great video. xoxo Peace! ~TONI 🌸😇💙
I love how beautiful your hair is!!! I think I will invest in a Denman brush now! How long did this whole process take you?
I love this because my curls are really uneven. Spring curls underneath and then it gets gradually loose curls on top. Top back layers are just lazy and frizzy waves. It’s really frustrating. I’m definitely going to try this because since I cut my hair short, I’ve been struggling to find the right style to wear so I won’t have to damage it by straightening every day. Thank you!!!
Your curls look beautiful!
Wow It Looked Like When You Washed it you had no curl pattern and then a couple of twizles with the denmen brush and scrunching... boom... Beautiful curls..
My hair is like that! Gets curlier as it dries!!
Beautiful hair, and the color is wonderful.
Thanks for another great video💖 your hair is beautiful as always!
Awesome.. how long does it take you start to finish not including air-dry time?
Hi! I followed one of your videos and it worked!!! 😍 been trying to get results from different videos and nothing, so glad I found your channel ❤️
Wow good job! You’re hair looks great!
Your hair looks perfect!
Wow, very nice. I will try it myself.
It looks so beautiful 😍😍 I have a few 3a curls, just in the front of my hair and some in my lower layers, I'm curious to see if this could help more parts of my hair curl
I just recently bought a Denman brush, should arrive to my house on friday. And I'm going to cut my hair on saturday (around your length in this video), so this video got me really curious
My hair is a 2c/3a, so I'm going to try normally with the brush and see what happens, but I definitely have to try your way, your hair looks gorgeous!
Your way of showing how to an explanation is so on point an laid back. Your hair is gorgeous. An you have such a sweet an beautiful personality that it is what truly makes me love your videos!! I'm so happy I found your channel!! 😍 I'm in transition big time. I literally use to be more of 3c hair but, due to health issues my hair is more 2c to 3a now an I have about half the hair I use to have. Good thing it use to be so dense and thicker. Also I only started the cgm about 3 or 4 months ago now. An you've been a huge help! Thank you much for that!! 💚
lol, I just saw this on another video before this one. Looks good!
Thanks for this video! I have almost identical curl, texture and length, yet I have never tried the Denman brush! Ordering today!
Lov3 your hair that’s why I subbed
I cant wait to try this!!! I have curls pretty similar to yours! They are pretty easily weighed down and its hard to get much volume.
SAME
I just got a hair cut today at a normal salon and it turned out great. I have waves from 2a on top, to 3a underneath. I got my hair cut an inch below my shoulder and a lot of short layers for volume. When I got home, I wetted my hair, put some gel in, and then scrunched. But if you're looking for volume, you MUST diffuse. I diffused for the first time and I had SO much volume. I diffused from when my hair was really damp to when my hair was 90% dry. I hope this helps
That was a wonderful video! And I'm so happy to see somebody with a similar head of hair to my own. My hair is about as thick as yours, the same length, only my curls are 3B curls. I can't help but wonder how long it took you to Denman brush your whole head.
Your hair is soooo pretty!!
Thank you, for making this video! Unrelated note, AND you've probably heard this at least once before: at first glance you look a whole lot like Julia Garner! Hell of a compelling talent, she is! Her acting is outstanding. It DOES do a lot too, that she is gorgeous and sensual AND very sharp (smart) and subtle with ALL her gifts (ie not arrogant, or assuming). Which all makes her more likeable. So, even though, we do not know you and there'll be no way to get to know you, cannot tell who and how you are on the inside. But, let's just say, you've already got A LOT going for you and we DO hope you use all of these "gifts" constructively AND in a positive way. That is, to use your "presence" and "influence" to bring light and understanding and selfless compassion, to others who look to you. I say this because, with even just a little attention, it can get so, so easy for The Ego to be lured into its unlikeable side - arrogance, self-obsession, intolerance and condescension of others. Let's hope this is NOT the dominant energy surrounding the path Your soul takes! At the same time, I will also say for the sake of reminding, please DO NOT allow anyone communicating with you here, to deflate your spirit, or undermine your best intentions. Stay centred on the light within you (in so doing, you coukd never go wrong AND doing this just makes a person more versatile and "sensitive" / "intelligent"!). And remember to NOT forget how blessed you are, to now have a platform through which to positively (or negatively) impact the thoughts, decisions, actions of others. Be reminded and stay aware that there will ALWAYS be detractors and naysayers, just for the sake of recycling toxicity (but that is their karma (crisis) to dissolve, NOT yours. And even if directed at you, you SHOULD NOT take it to heart, because it is neither their place, nor their right, to cast aspersions on you!). Keep your head up, serve the light inside you and humble yourself enough to that light that you fulfil your purpose to. At the same time, DO NOT humble yourself to anyone's twisted ego, or corrupt purpose, within him / herself. Ler that person work out all that with his / her creator. NOT try to vent any of that, on you. On top of all that good stuff, you've got celebrity looks! Good for you! Keep going! Wishing you a successful 2022!
My God, it looks great. Thank you for sharing
You did a damn good job adding volume.
I’ve been watching lots of videos about volume with loose curls and this is my favorite. Thank you. You’re hair is gorgeous. Is there a name for your cut ?
I have a devacut :)
Who have you been watching? I need to see those videos lol
New to your channel, love your curls :) What towel did you use?
Thats impressive so you online used gel, leave in and the Brush wow 😍 I need to try this
You do a good job demonstrating this Denman brush technique. I have thick 3C curls. I removed rows on my brush to leave four. My technique is like yours, except I use a light coat of an oil before my styling product. After "training" curls with the Denman, I scrunch using a tea towel, then air dry. I also wrap soaking hair in a tea towel for a few minutes before applyin oil. I feel that using the brush helps to define my curls. They look more styled. I will check out your other videos.
What kind of difference does it do to remove the rows? I have a denman brush but have never experimented with that yet.
@@porchejones4287 the fewer the rows, the larger the clumps that form. More rows works for the looser curl type, but will only break up tighter curls, so removing rows helps the brush to be suitable for using on that sort of hair. :-)
I have had no luck with my denman brush but will surely try this method! What did you do in the end when you were fluffing it out? with a pic or comb?
Pick 🤗
That dryer attachment did the magic. .
Wow, your hair should be in a museum. Beautiful you've Got natural volume & madd shine to your lovely Lock's
Gorgeous hair!
Beautiful, would take me to long to do it!
Wow that’s beautiful
Beautiful curls!💕
Thank you 💕
Finally someone with my hair type
Wow! Beautiful ♥️
I need this 😭 transitioning from bleached and dry brushed hair and I have 2c/3A with some super damaged bits that look 2b maybe even 2A 😬
I'm in love with you ☺☺☺☺ godddd, your videos!!! 😍😍😍😍 Amazing!!! I always enjoy watching! What a scrunching of the gel!! Haha 😄😉 the sound! Haha 😄😉 And I love this pink top you are wearing here! Generaly- I love your clothes and your style!! 😍😍 I wear these things too! 🙂❤
GORGEOUS
This is amazing
wow amazing curls!!! Bravo, I want to get the same results 💓💓💓
Oh my gosh your hair is so gorgeous! Would you mind sending me a picture of your hair style so I can show my hairdresser the next time I go? I love your cut!!
Just show your hairdresser the video. Better than a picture.
Oh my goodness you are totally inspiring me to try the denman brush out!! Thank you making such an indepth video! I love trelux too! So so good!
Your hairstyle turned out beautiful! Nicely done and demonstrated!
Going to try!
Your style looks gorgeous. You make it look easy but it will be much more difficult for me. Also, my fair is very fine and straight and does not like to hold a curl. Do you need to use that type of brush or would any brush work? What about just using your fingers?
I was wondering what would happen if you didnt section your hair but just brushed like people normally brush their hair. Would it turn out really string or would it still make your curls more defined but just in a different way?
Can you explain what the hair type numbers are? And how you cut your hair? Thanks!
You have a great haircut!
Hey, what is the exact name of the plant sulfantant you mentioned? Thanks!
How do you know which way your curl is curling? Mine are all different, some going towards the face others curling away. Wouldn’t you have to scrunch first before using the brush to know the direction?
Wow!! Your curls are absolutely beautiful!!! 😍🙌🏻
Wow....very cool👍🏻
lovely!
You have gorgeous curls!
Perfect!
Te quedaron hermosos!
Love this video. I will try it. My hair is a little longer than yours but I am hopeful! I am so sick of the mess of hair on my head trying to follow cgm. What does your hair look like without curling with the denman brush?
She did a video on styling her hair product free, it's basically the same, a little fluffier
Gorgeous ❣️
Definitely need to try this!
Your hair and curls are beautiful!!!!
I’m not familiar with the “2c3a” term. Can you explain?
My hair is straight and VERY fine and is layered.
But I LOVE volume so I‘ve always gotten perms to give me
more fullness and control.
Do you think your technique would work with my kind of hair that is permed?
Thank you. 😊
It could depending on how your perm is done. You just need to figure out which direction each section wants to go and twirl it the direction it wants to go. 👍🏻😊
I read somewhere " touching hair during drying process makes a lot of frizz." Is that true?
I’ve heard that as well!
It absolutely can! Especially through air drying. But, for me, I will begin touching it during diffusing when my roots are dry and the rest is more than 50% dry. I prefer volume so a little halo frizz doesn’t bother me.
SHREYA DAS I’m 40 years old my whole life in middle school and high school throughout college yes I cannot stop touching my hair wet or dry and it caused tons of frizz. They didn’t come out with the straighteners they have now the pro ones for consumers until I was in my twenties so I was in heaven but after I started using the curly girl method it’s a miracle a life saver now I can touch it wet or dry and no frizz so much definition to especially with finger coiling I haven’t done the denman brushes yet but man get your hair healthy w cgm and brush and touch all you want 😚
It is very pretty!❤️💗
Super helpful thank you!
Beautiful 😍
Wow! Looks like a very hair-friendly way to create soft curls! I find it hard to believe there’s no need to pin the damp curls in any way, must give it a try. Does this only work on short or medium hair?
This is typically meant for someone who naturally has curl or wave to their hair. Which is why pinning isn’t needed. This type of styling helped me when I was still transitioning from color damage.
It doesnt need to pin because thats a finalization for wavy and curly hair, not straight
Very cute!!!
How long should I do the method to get my hair like urs?????? 🥺
Can you make a video on how you do refreshed? Or du you've got one already?
I love your beautiful hair and beautiful video ❤️🥰
Thank you so much ☺️💖
Kristyn can you please tell us how your hair is cut?
Beautiful 💜
Oh wow!
The effect is very beautiful. I have a question, do you spin a denman on hair dripping with water or just wet?
I would say kind of between the two. Its pretty darn wet but not sopping wet.
@@KristynJoanne Ok I will test :-)
Love it! what cut do you get?? Thanks
Yes, please, talk about your hair cut 😌
Beautifull 😍
Wondering how often you need to wash when using that amount of product?
