    I canNOT believe you got results like that from a brush! I am in total awe (in a good way)! My hairstylist actually gave me this brush and I was thinking “Ummm okay a brush…So what?”
    NOW I GET IT. Is this true enlightenment??? The secret of life???
    Why has NO ONE ever told me this??? I had no idea that you can still brush your wavy/curly hair AND actually use the brush to HELP THE WAVES AND CURLS?! 🤯🤯🤯
    Sorry, at almost 36 years old I am FINALLY beginning to learn what to do with this curly and wavy situation on my head.
    Thank you!!! I am washing my hair in the morning and will definitely use your tips as a guide and see how it turns out. Thank you so much on behalf of all us clueless wavy/curly haired chicks who were always told “you just have frizzy/weird hair so deal with it” 😂

First time I saw you do the upside down Denman brush curl (a few weeks ago, I’m a new subscriber), I thought you’d lost your mind. I tried it just to prove that technique had to be wrong. And whoa. I was just doing it with my bangs until this video and today I did it all over my head. I swear it was magic. I bought a fake denman brush from Target and have loved it because it smooths down so much of my frizz. I tried going back to my old way of styling and saw a huge difference in frizz. Eventually I’ll invest in the real thing eventually. I’m really excited about the horizontal styling because I feel like I’ve been fighting against my curls and think that doing it horizontally could help that. Love this video!

I love the horizontal style, that makes sense because every day is different and that looks like it just lets the curl do it's thing! :-) Now if only I had the patience and the arm strength to do small sections like that I would be a regular goldy locks! The horizontal sections is a game changer! I'm a wavy and my curl types are all over the place and it's been a big challenge to figure out what direction they want to curl. Oh and alllllllll the volume with horizontal sections!!

    I loved this video.....you crack me up! I purchased the Denman brush and it's been sitting in the bathroom closet because I didn't know what to do with it. Now I do! I'm going to try all of the techniques and hope I get some curls. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and for keeping me smiling with your adorable videos!

    I need to save your video. When I used the denman brush, it got all tangled in my hair. I’m sure I lost a bunch of hair. ☹️ I’ll watch your video just before I do my wash routine. It looks so easy when you do it. I’m such a klutz!

    • @KatEthridge
      @KatEthridge 2 года назад +1

      The trick is to use a detangling brush and a little bit of leave in conditioner before you use the denman brush -- really detangle your hair first. Also, if you're using one of the coiling techniques where you twist your hair around the brush, you have to make sure that only one section of your hair is inside the actual brush bristles. Don't double wrap in the bristle part.

    I’m a newbie with all things curls. So after I wash my hair and put in the leave in conditioner and comb it out…. Do I then put in gel, comb it out AND THEN do the denman part and then diffuse?
    Sorry just confused

    Thank you; this is super helpful! I've apparently been using the Ribbon Method! I want to try the Coiling Method--those curls are gorgeous! It looks like it would take a while though... does it? Though my hair is super short, so how long COULD it take me? :D

    I have long hair down the middle of my back.... when I try any of these all my hair gets in the way and I try to use clips but then I end up pulling hair out of the clips as I style other sections.🤦🏼‍♀️ I have found denmen brush styling to be very time consuming and by the time I’m done I feel like I have to shower to get all the hair products off may face, arms, and back. your curls are pretty no matter which way you styled. Maybe one day I can figure this out. I just have way too much fine long hair and I’m exhausted when I’m all done.

    Just discovered I can have curly hair. But Ive also learned I cant wash my hair very often(like maybe once a month) but I have to condition at least every other day. My hair has never been so healthy or curly since learning this. Now Id like to try the curly girl method, i just got me a denman but if the technique requires freshly washed hair then Im only going to be able to do it once a month. What are your thoughts, does it have to have to be washed washed? And do use natural curl products or can you recommend any?
