never stop the jokes, the editing, the humor. you guys are killing it man
Marcus is a great addition to this channel. It shows more and more each episode. He is just as quirky and down for anything. Love the content!
Was about to make the same comment. Sony & Marcus together are hilarious.
Took me a while to figure out. He's acts like he's just been scolded or lost a best friend. But I am slowly warming up to what he adds in front of the camera.
is this marcus's mom?
Ha! No but marcus's mom loves the positive comments . ❤
No he's not
Pro tip: You don't need a meat grinder. You can achieve the same goal with a food processor. I do it all the time with my burgers. I use a blend of Black Angus 80/20 and short ribs. It's frigging beautiful!
Thanks for posting this info. Great idea and I’m gonna use a food processor. Thanks, again.
While I don't think it does as good of a job it is close enough and does not require a new tool and is easier to clean.
@Ahglock I find that it actually does do a really good job. You just have to keep your pieces cold so the fats don't break down.
@@janelynn2560 Just be sure to keep your pieces cold so you don't break down the fats. It works wonderfully. Enjoy!
THANK U!!!!!!!!!!!!
IM DOING THIS NEXT WEEKEND.
seriously THANK YOU.
Hands down the best cooking channel on RUclips. You're passion for food shows through in anyway that almost no other channel captures
That "sonny" skit made me laugh way more than it should have 😅
Im dying
As a former Shacker, can confirm they use the exact same Martin’s potato buns. Next time try green leaf lettuce! They use Roma tomatoes, which is why they’re so small.
I came here to say the same about the buns, same ones I use at my Food Truck for Smash Burgers.
@@CrimsonHijinx Do you order them or get them locally?
Hey is there a specific brand of jarred or canned cherry peppers they buy? Or do they prepare their own? I’ve bought several different jarred cherry peppers and they never really get close
You telling me a home made this burger?
I hope so
A home can do many things, one of which is making burger
The homie made this burger
I love lamp
You’ll never guess who fries your rice
The anti-humor humor in these videos is gold.
Can't beat a home made burger. Specifically the summer time when the gardens are putting out fresh tomatoes and fresh onions and lettuce. I buy local fresh beef thats grain fed. It makes a gourmet hamburger. This way you know forsure the quality of ingredients your using. So, melt in your mouth goodness!!
I agree 💯 If you can't grind your own meat ( or like me half the time lacking the energy) good quality ingredients ALWAYS makes a huge difference!
Nice to see the Dynamic duo making an appearance again. Quality video as always!
Love the flex with the butter leaf instead of wilty wilty iceberg, but I have to stand up for the tiny tomato cuts, it keeps them from sliding out of the burg.
Dude - I had a restaurant back in the day with a secret sauce. We used house made pickled garlic 🧄 and its brine instead of relish and pickle juice - 🔥
Y'all are so hilarious! It's only 9:15 and I'm already wanting a cheeseburger ...
I was working in a fast food joint years ago, and order of condiments from bottom to top was:
1. Lower half of bun (buttered)
2. Sauce 1
3. Lettuce (to keep juices flowing down from saturating the lower bun and it all falls apart in your hands)
4. Ze Meat
5. Ze Cheeze
6. Gherkins, egg, bacon or whatever- additionals (if monster burger)
7. Then top half of bun, buttered, sauce #2 and tomato, packed onto lower tower as above.
Thoughts on this process? Since then I always do it this way and the lettuce making a bit of a seal really works well for me.
Great show guys! Robin got beat! XD
Batman and Robin come in for some comedic relief. 😂 Definitely not needed but was much appreciated.
Sonny! You are truly one of my favorite people/chefs. I have had the privilege of trying your food from way back.
Theres only 2 food channels I click on as soon as I see them on youtube, FirstWeFeast, and this one. I love the dynamic, and I have tried a couple recipes to great success.
Recently made brussel sprouts for the company potluck and they were gone in minutes.
Learning great recipes is just a bonus! I always show up for the great comedy show between these 2. Great job guys!!
Shake Shack - which I think is very so-so - started in a tiny hut in Madison Square Park that tourists would for unknown reasons wait on line for. It’s meat was sourced by Pat LaFrieda a local meat purveyor. So it’s a NY thing and I’ve never seen a jar of Duke’s mayonnaise anywhere in the region. It’s Hellmann’s all the time, bro.
The small tomatoes were probably intentional. Slices of big, thick tomatoes tend to be less flavorful unless you picked up some locally grown heirloom stuff. Big commercial tomatoes are bred for shelf life, not flavor.
The big slices do photograph better, though.
Maybe just easier to get Roma's in the winter where they're at? If boss says 2 slices of tomato, you don't consider size or thickness, you put 2 slices.
@@mattschmitt9924Yep. When I worked at McDonald's, the district manager would stop by and he'd always order a quarter pounder with cheese. He would lift the bun to check that there were in fact the correct amount of pickle slices. If not, we'd be hearing about it.
The smoke shack is 100% the way to go, people always get the og when comparing to other places though.
I’m pretty sure they have a very specific brand of meat from a specific butcher. The butcher also supplies a lot of the top restaurants in New York.
I really can’t remember the name or my source but it was a YT video that came across my feed one day. I want to say it had something to do with a large dry aging facility too.
Pat LaFrieda
@@vertgriff thank you. I don’t think I would’ve ever remembered or found the old video I saw.
Ok gotta do your favorite chicken sammie next! The dynamic duo is too much fun!
Bro you and Marcus are the goats love the energy
The sonny skit with Marcus chiming in about the small mouth at the end cracked me up lol
Sonny, from the UK please can you do a video on the differences between names of beef cuts UK vs the US. I cant seem fo find a definitive guide!
my grandmother didn't usually grind her own meat, but the guy at the meat counter will generally do a custom blend ground meat for you. She would get sirloin and have it ground up for her when she bought it.
I’ll take one!!
Hold the tomatoes AND onion powder!!
A hilariously and informative cooking video as always Bat duo!
The most helpful I have ever seen Batman be, such duality here.
"Sonny you're bald why are you so jumpy"
Lmao. NGL I thought about these before..
If yall get a paint scraper, be sure to take a look at the metal's surface prep. There could be some gnarly chemical on them which get toxic at high temp.
realistically people don't grind meat. I do a lot of stuff in the kitchen - but grinding meat is where I stop short.
The randomness of the Batman beatdown was absolutely hilarious 😂
0:16 well played sir
YEEEEEEEAAAAAAAHHHHH!! Batman and Robin again!!!
Your humor is the best!
The robin batman combo could be a series by itself. so freaking funny maaaaaan
The Martin's Potato Roll is what puts Shake Shack over the top for me. The best. Truly in a class of their own
Every RUclips cook smash burger video:
"Let me show you the secret sauce recipe"
Also every RUclips smash burger video:
Host proceeds to show Russian/Thousand Island dressing base recipe, lol.
Thanks for the video, you and Marcus are a great team.
I have this theory that you're based in Austin. I've seen you say a few things in some episodes (I haven't watched them all) that suggest you are. IF YOU ARE... go to Jewboy Burgers, then do a video on how to make that burger. Would be incredible. Also I'd love to see you and Chud's BBQ do something if you're here.
😂😂these clowns are my favourite 😂😂😂😂
Y'all should do a comedy thingy together.
They was making music ordering them burgers OMG
Martin’s Potato Rolls FTW!
Omfg the Beautiful Mind highlight SLAYED ME
lol, the batman skit at the end was hilarious. I love the humor guys, you always make me laugh 😂
Sounds delicious!
A stainless paint scraper from the hardware store is game-changing if you want to make smash burgers more than once. They're like, what, $15 for a pretty big one?
What size hole is on the meat grinder? My Kitchenaid came with 3 sizes.
That size was the medium grinder attachment I have the same set . I find my Kitchen Aid has an easier time if I go with coarse grind first and work it into a medium grind and if I also partially freeze it before hand so it doesn't lose its consistency.
not since the beginning but i have been here for a grip. the best thing you have done is get Robin, reminds me of when much younger cooking for the lads whnever they came over.
hell. yes. i've been waiting for this. this is my girl's favorite burger.
"It's just 4, twice"... LOL, love it
Please continue to have Batman and robin in every episode you guys kill me 💀😂🤣!
Omg awesome, thank you for making my wife and I laugh, you mentioned Duke's again and that made me happy and the little girl at the beginning saying screw you, rotflmao
I haven't had their burger but it reminds my of my fave Culvers. It's the only fast food burgers I eat anymore.
Best franchise burger hands down! Need the cherry peppers thought 🌶
Great work Sonny and Marcus! Thanks for sharing! 😋🙂😎
I always use a blend of chuck, brisket, and bacon to cut on cost but not flavor. I also choose to smash them on an old fashioned kettle grill for ultimate flavor plus a grill can get way hotter than my electric stove
Marcus and family. Finely dice up white onion to put in that burger sauce to make it POP
Don’t ever change, Sonny! You’re awesome!!😂😂
"Yeah yeah yeah, it's just four twice." I died
You’re my hero. Btw I only knew you as “that dude” all this time I’ve been following you, only to learn today that your name is Sonny, which was also my nickname growing up. Keep punching that fridge. Your rosemary salt and turkey preparation this year was a hit.
You guys are always inspiring :D home made is IMHO always better.
Sonny you're awesome! My 5yr old and 7 yrd old have both asked for your cookbook and a pepper grinder (to make their own kitchen hero) for Christmas...Thank you, I LOVE to cook and love it even more with my kids helping! My 5 yr old is currently our rosemary salt cop, we are NEVER allowed to run out!
You can get most stores to grind any meat you want. Try asking the employee working in the meat area if they will grind you choice meat.
Lol this was one of your funnier episodes. Keep up the good work!
Dude, your videos keep getting funnier and funnier. Love it. Keep up the good work.
Nice job, Caped Crusaders. I have a grinding attachment for my KitchenAid I've never used. I think it's finally time. Thanks.
Great video! Keep em coming. Love the comedy. Keeps the videos fun.
Bro i loved the fridge section 😂😂😂 "batman help" 😂😂😂
Wonder what your neighbors think..."Honey, they're wearing costumes now while attacking that fridge"
Excellent and informative... Ps. I laughed out loud at Batman and (a very camp) Robin... Bravo! 👏🏻
for burger sauce, I normally like to use a little bit of minced onion rather than the powered - but the bigger part is a bit of Worcestershire
Love it!
Recently Ive been pressing real (cooked) bacon bits onto patty. Cooking bits side down first. Finish is a nice crisp under cheese without having to cook bacon strips. Add a shot of worchestershire on non bacon side while cooking. It's better than most. All I need is the griddle pan and I'll never buy another burger!
I like to chop up onions and mix them into the hamburger plus use some liquid smoke.
The woman in the beginning with the "screw you"😂😂😂😂😂
I love these videos. Thanks
In order for it to be "authentic" Shake Shack you need to use at least 4-5x more salt.
And sugar glass
You gotta do it on the weber grill with the plate like guga for that fire taste.
gonna try
Classic fight scene at the end. Love it. Great idea for a video. Favorite burger for sure.
Dude the Batman and Robin scene had me rolling
Sonny, you’re amazing! I’m so glad I’ve found this channel!
Martins potato rolls are my go to buns for smash burgers at home. So good.
Shake shack uses Martin’s potato rolls.
Great recipe and great looking burger. I believe shake shack uses Roma tomatoes which arguably have more flavor.
Pretty sure shake shack actually uses martins brand for their potato rolls. Spot on Sonny!
The humor y’all have is so great lol
I had to pause the video a minute in to thank you for doing something almost no other RUclipsr chef does...you actually tasted the burger hot/fresh from the order. It's silly, but we get it, fast food is generally not great food...but seeing RUclips chef's doing taste tests or comparisons on a burger they got 45 minutes ago, via Door Dash or something is pretty pointless. "Oh it's soggy and doesn't taste good"...yeah you let it steam itself to death in some delivery driver's car for 30 minutes before eating it (at which points - why bother ordering fast food?). So thanks for actually trying the food as intended, lol.
Right?! That drives me so crazy too! fast food always changes in quality as it cools!
Shake Shack used to be on the fast food apps in my area but disappeared after a couple years. My wallet/waist are thankful for it, but man, they were easily my favourite fast food.
The Burger was great, but the fridge scene was insane. :D
Loved that robin/batman skit, made me laugh so hard
Frickin awesome dudes ,😋😋😋🎄
great content as always
"full disclosure: this is good mayonnaise" is my kind of disclaimer.
"You got 4 warmups" I'm dead 😅
"Batman! Help!" you need to warn us about those skits
It's just 4 twice, that killed me 🤣
“I can’t see anything with these on. This is insane…These are my wife’s glasses I don’t wear glasses.” 😂😂😂
Thats the brand shake shak uses
I know the owners of Martin’s. They supply Shake Shack with the buns, they don’t just look like them, they are them. 🤪
Love the content, keep up the great work!!
