Oh thanks for commenting Drew! I'm loving watching your home renovation. You do great work! I'm obsessed with you and MaCenna and you've both totally inspired me to stop overthinking and start trying and learning. ❤
This is absolutely fantastic and inspiring. The quality and finish is truly outstanding. Well done Sarah. Blessings to your family and keep going. Psyche aka Psyche Thompson UK 🌹
This looks amazing. I loved when Drew did this to his room and didn't like when he repainted it that dull brown colour so I was delighted when your video popped up just now as I love the green colour. You did a great job. I am due to move soon and would love to do this in my next home.
Kuddos to YOU!! Great job! Green is my favorite color and you’re very brave for using this shade and taking up such a great amount of space. It looks stunning and definitely Is warm and inviting. A transformation well done. As an energy practitioner/ fen shui consultant,my passion is helping others breath light energy into their life. Clearing out stagnant energies. Green is associated with the heart chakra. Love and healing energy fill this room! I feel the connection in this room. Very deep. I would just make one suggestion and Do not in any way want this come off harsh. Or the wrong way. From one Mother to another I would suggest removing the pictures above the mantle. They are absolutely beautiful, however this space is for you and your husband. After 21 years of marriage I’ve come to realize The importance of putting my marriage first! That includes the sacred space of the bedroom. Our spaces reflect us. As someone that does not even know you just a outsider looking in what it screams to me is your children come first, Not your husband. As an outsider looking in it screams they take all my attention and I love every minute of it so much so that I want the whole world to know they are my heart and soul. There’s nothing wrong with that, it’s just what this reflects in this particular room. Flow is especially important throughout each part of the house. This is a room that you surprised your husband with and took the time to create for not only him but for your marriage. It might just be pictures to some people and nothing more. Sometimes it’s the very little things we tend to overlook that can cause the biggest rifts in a marriage. This room of connection with your husband, the deep love At the end of the day do what works for you. If it was me and I am a very conservative, quiet, not so comfortable in my skin type of woman at times ,however in the bedroom there are no limits and it’s the escape I need, we both need at the end of the day. It’s that place of quiet and poise and rest and connection and beauty and love. It’s that sacred space between two people that have chosen to enjoy this journey together. Everything else outside of the other spaces reflects this one room of the home. It all starts in the space we share together. We protect it. We cherish it. We keep it alive by continuing to find ways and words to always bring each other back together again no matter what. It’s our sanctuary and it is placed above all other spaces in the home. It is the one space the kids, the animals, and all outside influences are not allowed. The space is ours and is strong because we have chosen to protect it with our upmost love for one another and honor it in the same way we do our marriage. Some classy, sexy photos black and white of you showing some skin not too much but still enough to entice your husband is something I would suggest above the bed…? Think outside the box. Think like a Man. Men are visual creatures, and there’s nothing wrong with that. Give your man something to always enjoy looking at and I promise you he will never look elsewhere. Make him fall in love with you over and over and over again that’s what marriage is falling in love with the same person over and over and over and over again. I’m not saying your husband doesn’t have his own share of work to do I am speaking on the level of one woman/mother to another. That’s a whole Nother day. Lol Keep surprising him. Spontaneity is what keeps marriages strong. why not surprise him with some thing he’s not expecting perhaps? I’m throwing this out there as just an idea of course take it with a grain of salt to each their own. Even the most conservative quiet women on earth need affection, attention, appreciation, excitement, we all want to be heard and seen. At the end of the day we just want love and to be loved. Love yourself enough to put yourself first, right smack dab in the middle of your wall and be proud of it. What will the children think? Oh my what would they think? I’m here to tell you they will see everything and anything soon enough. They will know way more than you or your husband will ever know. Teach them it’s OK to be proud of your skin and it’s OK to be in love. It’s OK to show love to one another and it’s OK to show it to the world. Teach them mother is beautiful and there’s nothing wrong with being in the skin were in. Fear is what destroys children. Love teaches everything we need to know in this lifetime. There’s a line between class and trash and I know that you are not trash nor would you represent that to the world for your children to see so I think we’re on the same line of what I’m trying to convey to go above the bed. The one thing constant in this life is change. What decor works one day may not work the next so I’m just throwing this out there as perhaps a suggestion later on down the road. At the end of the day it’s a beautiful sacred space that should be treasured and enjoyed. . Too often we create spaces but don’t enjoy them/ live in them. Fall in love with each other each and every day. The kids can have every single room in the house but make this room for the both of you. I can’t stress this enough when it comes to a lasting marriage. I’m so thankful that I took my great grandmother and grandmother’s advice On putting my marriage above my children. Now that I have the house to myself I’m so thankful I listened and made small little changes along the way. They have since paid off and probably have contributed I most certainly positive why were still happily married after all these years. Thank you for inviting us into This beautiful sacred space. Sending you love, light and healing. Blessings.❤️❤️🙏
Words are difficult to express how amazing this looks! It unquestionably transforms the room. The additional, wider ledge extends over the bed just slightly enough to also provide an even cozier feel. If I may please make a friendly suggestion. Switch out the thin candle-stick table lamps for a pair with a significantly more drama and volume. For example a pair of wide and round bases with an ivory stone finish paired with beige linen shades. I'm an artist and industrial designer btw. You did a fantastic job!
Great job. I just bought a house and I want to do that too. Thank you for your video it really helped inspire me I can’t wait to start the project thank you so much for sharing. It’s absolutely beautiful
Well done!! I didn’t see LF’s version, but this is fantastic. I’ve been thinking of changing some things up and this might just be the ticket! Thank you!!
I had no idea this video would be seen by more than like 20 people. In the future I will do so, but for this I got all supply info from Lone Fox’s video which I linked in my description. ❤️
I really like the wider shelf! Any tips for that installation? Is it sturdy? Did you place the 8" shelf on top of the narrower shelf or did you remove the original shelf first? Wonder job! It looks great!
I would love to do this...but live in the country and have scorpions that crawl on the walls sometimes.......and they would end up in my BED !🙄but this is beautifull...Great job !
OMG! Do yourself a favor and get a jigsaw! I was freaking out watching you use a reciprocating saw to make that cutout. 😱 😳Otherwise, great job it came out fabulous 💚💚💚😍👍
Hi; love what you did and I’m trying to duplicate. My husband is worried about the 8” shelf and how it will be supported. Our span is 12’ 6.5”. Did you just brad nail the shelf to the earlier 1X4” shelf? Or did you secure it some other way to the wall? We decided to only do a 1X6” shelf for the whole span and just want to know how it is secured. Thanks for any help you can give me.
I used brad nails and construction adhesive to attach the larger shelf to the former smaller one. It’s still there holding strong, but as a complete beginner in this type of project, I can’t say to whether that is a recommended way of securing it. 😅 It’s just what I did and has worked so far!
This looks incredible! How did you attached the shelves onto the wall/board? Just into each other? I want to add a shelf but am concerned about it not being sturdy enough.
It looks beautiful! This is exactly what I'm planning on doing in my bedroom in the coming weeks. I will wrap it all around the room and then add wild wallpaper at the very top. My room has crown molding so I won't bring the board and batten up to the ceiling. Great job! Use earthquake putty on those decorative items, unless you're absolutely, positively sure you don't live in an earthquake zone! I'd remove the rock in any event - it can kill. Other stuff will just give you bruises.
Great work… you should get a multitool rather than the jig saw… better and cleaner cuts. I just got one and my husband was impressed. I Love #Drew “Lone Fox” he is amazingly talented creator. Sweet young man.
As several people commented here, I was using a sawsall, not a jigsaw as I said in the video. 😅 I’ve since purchased an actual jigsaw, and I agree a multi tool would be a great addition as well. Thank you!
You did a great job! It looks fantastic! Just a side note, not sure if anyone else has mentioned it, but the part where you cut out for the outlet, you said you were using a jigsaw but you actually used a reciprocating saw also called a sawzall. A sawzall is mostly used for demolition so it’s not really for precision cutting. It’s for destruction and shakes a lot. That’s why your cut was rougher looking. If you had a jigsaw, that type of cut would be easier to make. Or an oscillating saw would work as well. But great job. I enjoyed the video
So true! We have two cats but we keep them and our dog out of our bedroom. We also have small children so we try for the least amount of sleep interruption possible. 😅
Totally tried this and failed! The brad nails did hardly anything to keep the boards on the wall in place even with adhesive. Too scared to think it would hold a 1x6 and a 1x8 with just glue and brad nails plus decor for the shelf. Coming up with a plan B for the shelf.
I’ve done this on my staircase, it’s all held with No nails adhesive only, no actual nails were used at all. I did mine 2 years ago now, it’s been re painted to freshen up recently due to it being a high traffic area and still remains firmly in place.
3:59 Looks very nice. Can you make another video of skim coating the textured wall to make it smooth wall between the battens? I think that might look more finished! Good job!
This looks stunning!!! 😍😍😍
I love how you added the second wider shelf!
Agreed ❤She did an excellent job.
I love that you found this ☺️

Wow, the headboard is like the one in a deluxe hotel room.
This is absolutely fantastic and inspiring. The quality and finish is truly outstanding. Well done Sarah. Blessings to your family and keep going. Psyche aka Psyche Thompson UK 🌹
Wow! That's quality work; your close-ups show quality and detail. Plus, you're giving me ideas for my own projects. Thanks for sharing.
Very nice. That’s the color my wife and I want to use as well. Great choice
I love the color!
This is so pretty! I love the second, wider shelf. What a good idea, and the color is just perfect :)
Congratulation !! Anything to do with autumn colours, I'm in 👏👏👌👌💓💓🥂🥂🍾🍾

I am doing the same thing with a 1x6 over the 1x3. Wasn’t sure if liquid nails and Brad nails would support the shelf plus decor. Thank you!
Awesome!!!!!!!

Hi great job it looks beutiful bless🤗
Bravo 👏 ❤
Love it ❤️
wow This is really nice. thank you for making a vedio

A few people have pointed that out, and I appreciate it! I now own an actual jigsaw. 😅
I love this!!!
Gut gemacht aferin ❤❤
Great job!!
I love the color of the paint
Could you please tell me the color and you did a beautiful job
Looks really good
Thank you for sharing
May I ask what kind of paint you used? Did you use wall paint for the wood pieces also?
Great job looks beautiful. May I ask what color of green. Lovely ❤😊
This is nice can you tell what materials were used?
What is the brand and color of your green paint?
Very Nice!
Can you see the nails through the board or did the caulking cover that? I see a lot of people using wood glue but that's tooooo permanent for me
I used Brad nails and construction adhesive to put it up. I caulked all the seams and nail holes.
Diy novice here re the nail gun do they go through to the wall? What gun is it ? The brand please
How did you figure out your spacing for the 1x6 ?
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Can you please let us know the name of the green paint u used .
I really liked this but then realized that my cats would get up there and probably knock things onto my face while I'm sleeping 😄😒
So true! We have two cats but we keep them and our dog out of our bedroom. We also have small children so we try for the least amount of sleep interruption possible. 😅
Bravo!M 🎉🎉🎉

I definitely think it’d look better not textured. I don’t have plans to change it right now, however.
You used the wrong type of saw. That is a reciprocating saw mainly used for demolition. A jig saw is what you really needed.
You are correct. 😅 I now have a jigsaw! 😮💨
Ficou lindo ❤️ 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
What finish did you use with the Behr paint? Is it satin?
What distance apart is each batten?
Maybe measure next time to avoid cuts, this will make it look a lot better.
👍😘
Can I ask what kind of wood you used for this?
I’m sorry I answered your question incorrectly at first so I deleted my comment. I used 1”x4”x8’ square-edge primed pine boards.
