    Thank you all so much for the support!
    I haven't made a video in a long time due to moving into a new apartment, changes at my 9-5 job, and other personal life things so it really means a lot to me to see such a positive response from you all after months of inactivity on this channel. I really appreciate your kind words and I will do my best to put out more content as soon as I can!

      When you don’t have to work you have a lot of time to practice your hobbies. This kid looks all of 20 years old and has a condo in downtown Vancouver. His rich mainland Chinese parents obviously gave him everything he has, he could literally do nothing for the rest of his life and still have it better than 90% of Canadians, financially anyway.
      Having worked my whole life and developed expertise in a trade and earned money for a down payment on a home I haven’t had the time to develop many hobbies, but it’s nice having a sense of genuine accomplishment knowing I earned almost everything I have.

      IMO you are only limited by how well you can design it and how well you can adjust the mechanics of your printer
      Im printing a large scale bluetooth speaker right now, uses like 1.8kg of filament, multiple parts, special infill tuned for acoustic advantages, acoustic patterns built into the inner walls
      You can print nearly anything, just gotta work around the horizontal layer separation disadvantage with core materials

  • @rich1051414
    @rich1051414 2 года назад

    It's worth pointing out, when you use a larger nozzle, you can push plastic out faster and have larger layer heights, BUT, you need an extruder setup than can keep up. Just cueing you in in case you hadn't thought of that. Many standard extruders will start skipping at normal print speeds since they are pushing through twice the amount of filament, equivalent to running the printer at twice the speed. That will effect layer adhesion since your lines aren't as thick as they should be. Or you can move to thicker filament, so you get more plastic per mm of filament.

    I suspect it won't break under compression but will break when the legs are torque (they try to splay out as more weight is applied) and there might be a super simple way to GREATLY increase its load capacity. about 2/3 or maybe 1/2 way down have a hole in each leg with a nut/bolt and a turn buckle wire arrangement. ie physically prevent the legs from pushing outward. Now I am curious as to just how much mass they can hold :-)

    Id print a mid-height shelf think for your TV stand, it would strengthen the legs (Make them not so wobbly ), & provide storage for TV Remote etc.

    Hey, You could actually print out a lower infill and mostly skin, and use infill settings and design stuff (I know very specific) to pour in a resin or something after, to make it a lot stronger, easier, faster.

    THANK YOU FOR SLAPPING A 0.8nozzle on this printer. It should’ve shipped with one from the factory. Incredible content, can’t wait for the next episode

    Came from your 3D Printer Mods Videos and they were amazing bro! I have been waiting for 3D Printing technology to mature for the past 10 years before i buy my first 3d printer and looks to me this is it.

    I love wood and have made all sorts of things with wood simply because it's so "plastic" (adjective). But THIS is the future. Metal can also be used in 3D printing. One tip: about the indoor AC. I just had to get one and, with a little work, you can put them outside and just blow the cool air in. If you want to recirculate the indoor air, that's one more duct, and that's what I did. But they're a LOT quieter out on the balcony!
